Israel had a window of opportunity to attack Iran and it was right to use it - analysis

Three key factors make an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities a viable option today, but what happens after the strike?

ByYAAKOV KATZ JUNE 13, 2025 05:09 Updated:

From a military perspective, there is little question that Israel was right to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. It took advantage of a unique window of opportunity that stemmed from three primary factors.

The first was the degradation of Iran’s regional proxies. For years, when the issue of attacking Iran would come up around the cabinet table, one of the main arguments against it was the retaliation Israel would face from Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, and Iranian forces in Syria. That concern is no longer what it once was. [...]

The second factor was operational capability – whether Israel can actually pull off such a strike. This has long been one of the most difficult questions, involving a mix of logistical, technological, and strategic challenges: can the Israeli Air Force reach Iran, can it drop munitions on a wide range of targets, and can it penetrate heavily fortified underground facilities like Natanz and Fordow where the regime enriches uranium? [...]

The third factor was the change in Washington. While President Donald Trump said he preferred a diplomatic deal with Iran, negotiations have stalled. Trump initially expressed optimism about reaching an agreement, but just this week he sounded more skeptical, citing Iran’s continued insistence to enrich uranium on its own soil as the main sticking point. [...]

What happens next?

But here’s the harder question – the one no one really knows how to answer: What happens the day after a potential strike? [more]

On the Upside, Gavin Newsom Is Toast

Sure, Los Angeles is a burning wasteland where communist agitators and Third World peasant invaders loot and pillage with the tacit approval of California’s Democrat overlords while the regime media describes the chaos as a joyous, peaceful, and spontaneous manifestation of anger at President Trump for daring to enforce duly enacted laws, but there is an upside. Every cloud has a silver lining, and in this case, the silver lines are running through the prissily pampered hairstyle of Governor Gavin Newsom. The best part of all the recent brick-tossing, Mexican flag-waving, and Apple Store-looting is that this ridiculous man now has absolutely zero chance of ever being president.

He really wants to be president, and his wanting is the alpha and omega of the rationale for his doing so. Gavin Newsom is not only an empty suit; he’s barely a suit at all. He’s not just unaccomplished. He’s negatively accomplished. He managed to take Scat Francisco, an open sewer masquerading as a city even before he became mayor and made it worse. Then he took California, the formerly great Golden State that was already slip-sliding to the bottom of the slippery slope under Democrat supermajorities when he took over and made it worse.

How much worse? Hordes of ravenous hobos wander California’s streets, littering them with needles and their droppings. Criminals pilfer our stores, invade our homes, and terrify our citizens. Schools teach kids they can switch genders but not how to read. Big companies and productive individuals are blowing this popsicle stand; with 12% of America’s population, California has about 33 1/3% of its welfare bums. Oh, and what his state’s gross incompetence hasn’t gotten burned down by wildfires will get burned down by his state’s coddling of semi-human savages. But hey, the weather can be fantastic.

So, of course, he wants to be president. The Bouffant Buffoon promises to do the same for the United States of America. What a campaign slogan: “America, let me do for you what I did for California!” It’s like a backwoods hillbilly touting his canoe trip guide services with a five-star Yelp review from Ned Beatty.

On paper, Gavin Newsom should be a serious Democrat contender. He’s no genius, but at least he’s not a senile human eggplant, putting him far ahead of the last Democrat president. He is frequently able to construct coherent sentences and does not break down in spasms of bizarre cackling, putting him far ahead of the last Democrat nominee. He has a résumé listing important jobs, which seems impressive if you don’t investigate how well he did them. He’s got money and a lot of rich friends, so he can pay for a run. He’s shiny and good-looking, kind of like a political Patrick Bateman. He’s definitely not deep, but he could probably go on for an hour discoursing on his morning skincare regimen. To the key Democrat demographic of female-identifying SSRI goblins, he looks like Prince Charming through the Chardonnay–fueled haze in their broken brains. And he’s got the advantage of Democrat desperation; don’t put it past the Democrats to be so eager to win in 2028 that they throw all their diversity posturing out the window and cry, “Get us a cis penis person of pallor!”

The problem is that he’s bad at his job. And he doesn’t even seem to like it. Whenever you see Gavin Newsom in his gov mode, you get the impression that he’d rather be anywhere else doing anything else. It’s not like he actually does anything as governor. With guys like Newsom, it’s not the doing. It’s the being. He wants to be governor; he doesn’t want to do the hard things a real governor does. And it would be the same thing if he were to become president. He wants to be the president; the doing stuff part is a huge hassle that gets in the way of him being the center of attention.

His personal life is just as disastrous as his tenure as governor. He famously had to make a speech confessing that he had tapped his best friend’s wife. Hilariously, Donald Trump, Jr., snagged his former wife, a move so alpha there’s not even a letter of the alphabet to describe Newsom’s status. In the last few days, a professional football player began insisting on Twitter that he had a history of intimate personal interactions with Newsom’s current wife. Yikes. Well, at least Gavin can be secure in the knowledge that if this whole politics thing doesn’t work out, he’ll fit right in as a staffer at “The Bulwark.”

Newsom has not announced that he’s going to run, but he’s obviously going to run. His plan is to occupy the totally empty moderate lane in the upcoming 2028 primaries. As part of that, lately, he has been pretending not to hate conservatives. He went on some conservative shows, and he had some conservatives on his podcast to demonstrate that, “Hey, we can all get along. See? See?” Some conservatives didn’t like the idea of platforming Newsom, but they are wrong. The more you platform him, the more he talks, and the more he talks, the more aware people become that he’s close to being a clinical moron. He did not get where he is by intelligence – witness his genius move of denying he spoke to Trump when iPhones keep receipts. He got where he is by having just enough cunning to leverage his limited assets and his long-standing circle of rich friends into being the front man for the poisonous ideology that has ruined California and promises to ruin America next given the opportunity.

But America, despite the presence of so many idiots on the dismal side of the Bell Curve, is not going to fall for this guy. If presiding over such disasters as the high-speed train to nowhere, the crisping of Pacific Palisades and the enpooping of the City by the Bay are not enough to repel voters, the riots in Los Angeles will be. Imagine if he runs for president and somehow wins the nomination – a thought that’s a grave indictment of the Democrats’ current underwhelming bench. He currently looks completely impotent in the face of Donald Trump; much like his son stole his gal, The Donald stole The Gav’s National Guard infantry brigade.

Every single Republican ad is going to show that guy on the motorcycle in front of the line of police cars with smoke and flames in the background waving the flag of Mexico. The choice is clear, and very few people outside of the coastal cities and the college campuses are going to choose an America dominated by militant illegals over an America that belongs to Americans.

He wants to blame Trump for the riots in his state, but it’s not Trump‘s job to make sure Los Angeles doesn’t go to hell. It’s Gavin Newsom’s, and Governor Hairstyle has a consistent track record of failure, of which this latest disaster is yet another check in the “L” column. Who’s he going to blame when he’s president? There may be a sign on the Resolute Desk reading “The Buck Stops Here,” but Gavin Newsom won’t be sitting there. He’ll be out having dinner at the French Laundry like he did when all the rest of you peasants were locked in your houses lest you catch a cold.

So, this is how it ends for Gavin Newsom. As usual, Trump managed to grab the 80% side of an 80/20 issue – whether uppity peasant invaders from global hellholes should not be allowed to run rampant on our streets versus whether we should kiss their collective heinies and give them free stuff. In contrast, Gavin Newsom has managed only to grab himself and stand there looking stupid. But, in fairness, his hair is fantastic.

Civil War 2.0?

Democrats have a long history of inciting violence. Examples abound, from starting the Civil War, to forming the KKK, to violently resisting school integration, to the Michael Brown and George Floyd riots, to the current anti-ICE riots in Los Angeles. Democrat-run cities are typically the most dangerous, poorly run environs in the U.S., and when you push the oppressor/victim narrative across the media landscape, violence gets put on the menu.

Their rhetoric ramped up during Trump 45's administration when Democrat politicians and celebrities openly called for violence against President Trump and Republicans, even while accusing Republicans of being aggressors. And when their unhinged followers heed their suggestions, Democrats always claim to abhor violence. I heard it myself last night. I mentioned the protestors throwing bricks at federal officers, and a dinner companion said, "Well, you can only push people so far."

Perhaps we should ask the parents of Laken RileyKate SteinleRachel Morin, and Jocelyn Nungaray how far they've been pushed.

The unrest in L.A. began when ICE arrested 40 individuals who were wanted on various charges. This prompted protests that quickly escalated into violence, including attacks on federal officers. One report suggested that the riots might be government-funded, pointing to ties with radical, left-wing organizations and NGOs, some of which allegedly receive taxpayer dollars. This seems plausible, as the Democrat party leadership has a historical opposition to ICE and openly supports sanctuary city policies.

Nicole Shanahan, RFK Jr.’s vice-presidential pick, echoed this sentiment, alleging a “CIA/Deep State” involvement in using violent migrants to target federal law enforcement, a claim that aligns with narratives of orchestrated chaos.

LA mayor Karen Bass and California governor Gavin Newsom have been labeled as “incompetent” as they remained inactive while riots persisted. This possibly suggests a tacit endorsement of the protests, perhaps as a way to challenge federal authority under a Republican administration.

Representative Nanette Barragan (D-CA) made an Orwellian claim on CNN that the riots were "peaceful protests" while showing footage of a burning car. This strikes me as part of a coordinated narrative to downplay severity and shift blame, perhaps to justify further violence.

President Trump deployed the National Guard to LA on June 8, ordering federal agencies to “Take any action necessary” and to “Liberate Los Angeles”. Governor Newsom responded by saying Trump's actions were "those of a dictator" and that Trump is "inciting and provoking violence."

If Democratic leaders are rallying their base to view the protests as a defense of democratic values, it may potentially escalate into more widespread conflicts similar to those that occurred in 2020. The involvement of figures like Maxine Waters, who attempted to intervene on behalf of rioters, further suggests a political stake in the unrest, though her rebuff by law enforcement highlights the limits of such influence.

The speculative possibility of a civil war hinges on intent. If the Democrat party is orchestrating or amplifying the riots, their aim may be to destabilize Trump’s administration, leveraging the chaos to rally support for progressive causes like open borders. If the funding allegations are substantiated, they may point to a strategic investment in unrest, using groups like CHIRLA, which is linked to ActBlue, as proxies. However, this theory rests on ongoing investigations. While prominent leftists claim that the roots of the riots are organic, pre-printed signs and seemingly coordinated appearances of large numbers of protesters continue to raise suspicions. Another concerning aspect is the actions of left-leaning judges to place the interests of illegal aliens over those of American citizens.

Counterarguments exist. Taking the devil's advocate position for a moment, the violence may simply reflect community outrage, the flash mobs being coordinated through social media. It may be a response to perceived overly-aggressive immigration enforcement, not a calculated Democratic plot. Newsom and Bass’s responses could be genuine attempts to de-escalate, not incite, while Barragán’s comments might reflect political posturing rather than strategy. However, as evidence continues to mount of taxpayer money being used to fund these protests, those arguments become ever more unconvincing.

In conclusion, while the LA riots present a volatile situation, it is unlikely that the Democrat party is officially using them to ignite a civil war, even though the party is not taking any action to quell the unrest. The combination of alleged funding, leftist rhetoric that exacerbates the tensions, and federal pushback suggests a potential for escalation, but it lacks the hard proof needed to confirm the intent to formally extend the conflict beyond LA.

The current divide, however, risks spiraling further. The Trump administration is focused on protecting American lives and enforcing the law, while the Left is intent on protecting the illegal aliens. As both sides are entrenched, it is essential that we carefully scrutinize all the narratives as events unfold.

An AP-NORC poll found that 83 percent of Americans support deporting illegal immigrants living in the U.S. illegally who have been convicted of a violent crime.

President Trump campaigned on this.

Three times.

At some point, we must ask, isn't it time to give Americans what we want?

Learn From The Romans: You Cannot Welcome Armed, Unassimilated Enemies

In the Louvre, there’s a famous painting by the French Artist Jacques-Louis David depicting the Intervention of the Sabine Women. In it, the Sabine men, whose daughters were stolen by and then married to Romans in the mid-8th century BC, returned to avenge Roman treachery and retrieve their offspring. The scene depicts a woman standing between the belligerents, :

If you are weary of these ties of kindred, these marriage-bonds, then turn your anger upon us; it is we who are the cause of the war, it is we who have wounded and slain our husbands and fathers. Better for us to perish rather than live without one or the other of you, as widows or as orphans.

The men stopped fighting, and eventually the Sabines became Roman citizens. This strategy of conquest and integration would characterize Rome for much of the next 1100 years. Other than perhaps Egypt, most conquered lands became essentially Roman. This is demonstrated by the found in places like Britain, Portugal, Algeria, Turkey, and more. Although most would never become Roman citizens, their lives would have had similar characteristics throughout the Empire.

Romans didn’t just do forced acculturation through outside conquests. When armies would attack Rome and were defeated, which they almost always were, the Romans would sell those women and children who had traveled with the invading army into slavery. The men, if not sold into slavery, would be conscripted into the Legions, but sent to regions far from their native lands. Again, it forced its culture on others, not vice versa.

The result of this was that for most of its history, Rome faced relatively few consequential internal rebellions beyond civil wars between rival generals. In the 4th century AD, however, that would change. As the Huns moved east from the steppes, they began attacking various tribes that would then plead with Rome for asylum. Sometimes willingly and sometimes not, the Romans allowed the Goths, Vandals, and others to move into the Empire.

What was different now was that, rather than breaking up these foreign powers and disbursing their members throughout the Empire, the Romans allowed them to settle intact on Roman lands. These were armed groups living in their own communities, separate from the Romans and maintaining their cultures with no assimilation demanded. This would be a recipe for disaster, and Rome, after having lasted for more than a millennium, was gone within a century.

The leaders of the United States and the EU should have paid a little closer attention in history class because they’re mimicking the mid-4th century Roman Empire...

In both the US and the EU, politicians have either tolerated or encouraged an open border for much of the last quarter century. The result is that the United States today houses upwards of 30 million illegal aliens, while in Europe, the number may be half that.

In both cases, most of the immigrants crossing the borders come from countries with far higher crime rates, far lower income levels, and very different cultures. In the United States, illegal immigrants largely come from Mexico and Latin America, while in Europe, they come from Syria, Afghanistan, and other countries in Asia and Africa.

As immigrants have often done throughout history, these new arrivals, when they move to a new place, seek out brethren from their home countries or people with whom they share customs or languages. Indeed, that’s exactly what the Italians in New York did at the turn of the century.

The difference here, however, is that when the Italians moved to New York or the Irish moved to Boston, their goal was to integrate and become Americans. Today’s immigrants to the United States don’t seem to have that same desire. They may want to become citizens to stay permanently, but that doesn’t mean they want to be American. Indeed, half of American Hispanics are from Mexico, and a significant portion of them believe that America’s Southwest is stolen land that rightfully should be returned to Mexico. At the same time, most of Europe’s newly arrived are from Islamic nations, and their allegiance is to Islam, not their new homes.

That’s a problem because successful societies are built around core, fundamental values that are shared by the overwhelming majority of the population. Ideas such as free speech and freedom of religion, individual rights, and private property, which exist in Europe and America to varying degrees, while they were not always core tenets of Western civilization, are so today, or at least were until quite recently. Without those shared fundamental notions, it’s difficult for Western nations to function properly.

It’s one thing for a nation to have competing powers within the existing framework (think: Democrats and Republicans), but it’s another thing altogether if the competing power wants to split off a quarter of the nation or wants to impose Sharia law.

Recent events have demonstrated exactly how deep the problems are. Across Europe over the last two years, there have been giant pro-Hamas demonstrations, some of which devolved into violence. Across the United States, Donald Trump’s attempt to begin to ramp up deportations has been met with violence against ICE agents, and in California, it devolved into riots with law enforcement members being pelted with rocks, bottles, and various incendiaries while cars were set afire, stores looted, and the LAPD headquarters attacked.

Of course, demonstrations and riots happen in any country, but when they are symbols of a bigger fissure, that’s a problem. In both cases, these illegals and their predecessors, many of whom have been legalized, seek to fundamentally change the nature of the countries they now call home.

Of course, invaders always want to change the nature of the place they invade, just as the Romans did as they were growing their empire. The difference is that when the Romans invaded a new land, the people already there usually fought them to maintain their culture. They usually lost, but at least they had enough pride in their culture to fight for it.

What we see across the West today is just the opposite. From Sweden to the UK to Spain and the US, leaders have for years worshiped at the altar of guilt and sought to repent by welcoming millions from cultures far different than their own. Most of these leaders have been under the delusion that, if they welcome these invaders with open arms, give them shelter, food, phones, and more, the invaders will somehow respect the culture of their new homes and assimilate accordingly.

Not only have the invaders failed to assimilate, but many have also attacked the very people and culture that welcomed them. From skyrocketing rapes and bombings in Sweden to knife crime and rape rings in the UK to drug dealing and taking over apartment complexes in Denver, these illegals have made it perfectly clear that they see their new homes not as refuges from some dysfunctional dystopia, but rather as fertile ground to be exploited. They have no intention of assimilating, and in reality, who can blame them? If a nation doesn’t care enough about its citizens and its culture to protect them, why should anyone else?

Here in America, we finally have a leader who understands the danger and is doing something about it. If the leaders of Europe don’t follow Donald Trump’s lead soon, they may find that it’s too late.

Communist Alien from China, Living in U.S Illegally for 12 Years, Pleads Guilty to Shipping U.S. Military Weapons to North Korea

This indictment summary reads like a movie script.

A member of the Chinese Communist Party, Shenghua Wen, 42, of Ontario California, came to the USA on a student visa in 2012; he never left.

Wen remained in the USA illegally, while somehow purchasing “a firearms business in Houston, paid for with money sent through intermediaries by one of Wen’s North Korean contacts.”

After organizing a covert life in the United States, and after purchasing the firearms company, Wen began sending weapons and sensitive military hardware to China, where it was transshipped by prior agreement and sent into North Korea.  You just have to read the DOJ press release to review the unbelievable system Shenghua Wen had put into place.

“Wen also acquired or offered to acquire a civilian airplane engine and a thermal imaging system that could be mounted on a drone, helicopter, or other aircraft, and could be used for reconnaissance and target identification.” [READ MORE]

Wen plead guilty to the charges and now faces “a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison on the count of violating the IEEPA and a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison on the count of acting as an illegal agent of a foreign government. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 18.”

It's Working: All Quiet on the Southern Front

Ward Clark reporting for RedState

President Trump made illegal immigration and border security key points of his 2024 presidential campaign, and (as if we need reminding), he won that election, handily. Now we see the results. On Wednesday, the Department of Defense Press Secretary, Kingsley Wilson, took to her official X account with the front page of an Arizona newspaper, announcing that the border is under control.

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth chimed in:

Why is the Department of Defense counting coup here? Because, as the DoD Press Secretary notes, border security is national security, and national security is the Department of Defense's job. We shouldn't overlook the contributions made by the Border Patrol, either, nor the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and all of the state and local officials who have, finally, been allowed to do their actual jobs and get this done.

There are still a few slipping in; the Arizona Republic article, dated June 11, 2025, referenced by Kingsley Wilson states in part:

Across the entire span of the U.S.-Mexico border, the change is stark - and it happened nearly overnight. Where Border Patrol agents encountered well over 100,000 migrants and asylum seekers just a year ago, they now see fewer than 10,000. More than four months into President Trump's second term, one of his signature campaign promises - shutting down the flow of migrants across the border - seems fulfilled.

Now, to take issue with a couple of points in that Arizona Republic piece; these aren't "migrants," they are illegal aliens, and as far as being "asylum seekers," these people were almost certainly careful coached on what key words and phrases to utter to be able to claim "asylum seeker" status. All in all, though, this is a win.

There's still a lot of work to be done, but in the Department of Defense, and with the millions of people already in the United States illegally.

It's important to remember that President Trump has only been back in office for a little less than five months. I've been paying attention to politics since the Carter administration, and I've never seen a president get this much done this quickly.

We still see a lot of work to be done. The southern border is in check. The northern border still has problems. There are still trade deals with other nations to be finalized, although just this (Wednesday) morning, we saw one of the biggest deals moving a step closer. Inflation is in check

This remains the big problem, though: there are still millions of people in the country illegally, and there are bad actors right here in the United States that are stirring up rebellion in our major cities. Some of those cities are in serious danger of going out of control.

Sharpening a tool requires friction, and friction causes heat. We may be in for a long, hot summer. But at least the influx of illegal immigration is checked. That's a start.

China Just Taught Trump’s America A Hard Lesson ?

China and the US just wrapped up two days of trade talks in London. But the fascinating thing is what they are NOT saying about what was agreed.

There's more to it than meets the eye, and there's a reason why Trump isn't admitting what he gave the Chinese - because he's not keen to confess that he made a massive miscalculation when he launched his original unprovoked attack on them.

Unending Sophistry of Leftists Gaslighting About the 'Mostly Peaceful' Riots

Jim Thompson reporting for RedState

Microsoft’s browser “Edge” has its pros and cons. Mostly cons. And the pros are related to the cons. So, a lot of cons.

Why do I mention Edge? The “stories” Edge pitches at me are almost always nonsense narratives, pushing faithful leftist causes. The last few days, Edge has been a fountain of nonsense about the LA riots – mostly chiding people (like me) for believing our lying eyes. What you've seen on TV and social media? It isn’t real. It isn’t happening or something. I’ve ignored most of it until today.

Today, Edge gave me too much of the “Mostly Peaceful Riot” narrative.

Let's start with ESPN talking head Mina Kimes, and then discuss Esquire Magazine editor David Holmes. They dropped their own versions of: “Don’t believe your lying eyes.” Sure, we had three days of cars being torched, cops being pelted with rocks and their cars being smashed, stores being looted, and Karen Bass having to declare an emergency and impose a dawn-to-dusk curfew, but according to those two, the riots are mostly peaceful. LA is peaceful. The rioters, the looters, the criminals hiding their mugs are really not that big a deal, America – calm down.

Something like: "My Santa Monica Condo is just fine and my local Whole Foods wasn't looted."

I’ve always found Mina Kimes insufferable. Nasally and over-caffeinated and just not good at her job. Her sports chops are middling at best. So why did ESPN hire her? I think it was her limited talent for “Etch-a-Sketch." No, I am not kidding. There are few leftist causes Kimes won’t comment on, and unlike Sage Steele, who was shown the door for her views, Kimes endorsed Karen Bass, so it is no wonder that she’s protecting “the precious.” LA isn’t all that fiery. She wrote:

The disparity btwn what’s actually happening in Los Angeles and the way it’s being mischaracterized is one of the biggest stress tests of modern media in recent memory. Botted socials, AI, old clips, declining literacy—it’s like seeing a broken emergency response system hit by a storm.

— Mina Kimes (@minakimes.bsky.socialJune 10, 2025 at 2:57 PM

The article quoting Kimes is from “Awful Announcing,” which added:

As CNN’s Brian Stelter has reported extensively, traditional and digital media are feeding audiences an outsized narrative of lawlessness and violence.

If you’re using Tater Stelter as a point a reference, you’ve lost the argument.

Why quote Etch-a-Sketch Kimes? Well, because she lives in “LA” so, she "knows." Kimes is a leftist. Besides endorsing Bass, she oozed praise on Tim Walz as emblematic of the “new masculinity."

Kimes campaigned for Kamala. Kimes should stick to Etch-A-Sketch.

Another “LA resident” named David Holmes is an editor with Esquire Magazine. He wants you to know that your eyes are lying to you. He knows because on Sunday, he went to protest, chanted, and chatted with “Abuelitas.” He knows the truth.

I situated myself right near the Geffen wing of the Museum of Contemporary Art, with the Barbara Kruger Untitled (Questions) mural on the exterior wall: Who is beyond the law? Who is bought and sold? Who is free to choose? I went and chanted and was home safe and sound by 7:00 p.m. And now the Marines are here

The Marines aren’t here. That’s a blatant lie. The Marines remain at a staging area. Holmes continues.

After an hour or so, I went back toward my car, and there was an L.A. Pride block party around Angel City Brewery at Second and Alameda. I went in, and another one of my friends made his way over to meet me. We each had a couple pints of Angel City's limited-edition LGBTQ-IPA...Once you tuned out the white noise of the three choppers circling low overhead, you wouldn’t have known anything was happening at all.

Got that? Holmes spent an hour chanting - and that made him an expert observer of the riots - sorry, protests.

At 7 p.m., with his “I was at the protest chanting” card punched, Holmes drove home to Santa Monica. With billowing smoke of burning cars in his rearview mirror and helicopters droning overhead, he was safe. Maybe Holmes threw back a couple more “pints” of Angel City's limited-edition LGBTQ-IPAs as he watched the news reports of looters, cops getting pelted, cop cars getting stoned, and criminals stealing shoes and mumbled to himself, "I didn't see any of that." No matter, Holmes was back in Santa Monica and all he saw were chanters, his gay beer bros, and Abuelitas handing out water. Your eyes are lying to you.

He then spent several paragraphs ranting about how evil Steven Miller was, time-traveling back to Miller's high school days. Holmes ended his rant, with once again, lying about the Marines being in LA. But your eyes are lying to you.

Why does it matter? Because Kimes and Holmes are hacks. But they have platforms, and they tell viewers and readers, “Don’t believe your lying eyes.” And people listen to them. Worse, they believe them.

I had a golf buddy rant about pretty much the same thing. Riot? What Riot? It’s a protest! ICE is deporting four-year-olds! No amount of patience and facts would sway him.

There's plenty of garbage on social media and TV. All one needs to do is take time to verify. But if I see videos of rioters in masks throwing rocks at cops, I'm going to believe my lying eyes. Sorry, not sorry, Kimes. Sorry Holmes. You can't gaslight everyone.
