Bumbling Biden Was Still a Tyrant

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard continues to declassify documents that show how the Biden administration defined political opponents as “Domestic Violent Extremists” (DVEs).  In a December 13, 2021, intelligence product entitled, “DVEs and Foreign Analogues May React Violently to COVID-19 Mitigation Mandates,” the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security, and National Counterterrorism Center created a framework for investigating critics of Biden’s COVID policies and labeling them potential domestic terrorists.  

The report claims that “anti government or anti authority” Americans see “COVID-19 vaccination and mask mandates as evidence of government overreach” and that “QAnon” has used these “prominent narratives” to encourage violence.  Dangerous thoughtcrimes “include the belief that COVID-19 vaccines are unsafe, especially for children, are part of a government or global conspiracy to deprive individuals of their civil liberties and livelihoods, or are designed to start a new social or political order.”

This Intel designation encapsulates so much of what is wrong with the federal government today.  

First, it once again frames anti-government Americans as a national threat.  Conversely, the Declaration of Independence, the Preamble to the U.S. Constitution, and the Bill of Rights all recognize government as an inherent threat to Americans.  

When we celebrate the Fourth of July next month, we will be honoring the patriotic acts of our political forebears and the many sacrifices they bore so that we might be free.  Free from what?  Oppressive government!  Our nation was founded on the truth that government is an enduring threat to individual life, property, and liberty.  Being anti-government is to be American; bowing down to government is to reject the founding principles of this nation!  

For many decades, the FBI and its partners in the Intelligence Community have turned what it means to be American on its head.  An American who believes in the guiding principles of the Declaration of Independence is now a “domestic enemy,” while those who worship government and abhor personal freedom run the federal bureaucracy!

Second, it’s simply remarkable that the Intelligence Community would define harmful “narratives” (aka, untruthful “disinformation”) to include (1) the belief that vaccine and mask mandates are unlawful; (2) the belief that vaccines are potentially unsafe; and (3) the belief that government agents deprived Americans of their civil liberties and livelihoods during COVID.  

Masking requirements, six-foot separation rules, plastic enclosures around school desks and checkout counters, and the myriad of other “safety” edicts had no basis in science!  Their genesis came entirely from bureaucratic overreach.  Because the experimental COVID-19 “vaccines” had no long-term testing, there was absolutely no way for anyone to accurately assess the likelihood of harmful side effects.  The more time that goes by, the less safe the mRNA injections appear to be!  And how could it possibly be a “conspiracy” to believe that the government was depriving people of their civil liberties and ability to earn a living?  Politicians, police forces, and totalitarian bureaucrats closed schools, forced people to remain in their homes, prosecuted them for attending religious services, and boarded up their places of business.  Unless you were Walmart or Amazon, making a living became a crime.  

If forcing people to do exactly what government agents say and coercing people to inject experimental serums into their bodies aren’t glaring examples of “government overreach,” what else is?  The Reign of COVID Tyranny was not a figment of the public’s imagination!  It was totalitarianism in vivid form!

Finally, consider how dishonest our domestic security agencies are when they pretend that only crazy people believe that there is a “global conspiracy” to “start a new social or political order.”  The World Economic Forum unleashed its “Great Reset” initiative within weeks of the COVID lockdowns.  Its public website is filled with materials describing how political and financial elites should use the COVID crisis to remake the world.  WEF leaders say explicitly, “To build back better, we must reinvent capitalism.”  That gobbledygook phrase — build back better — became the cult mantra of every Western political leader.  Joe Biden, Boris Johnson, Emmanuel Macron, Justin Trudeau, Jacinda Ardern, and countless other powerful nitwits sounded like deranged cockatoos all babbling, “Build back better,” together.  

Then-Prince of Wales Charles became a kind of global ambassador for the WEF’s “Great Reset” and “Build Back Better” buffoonery.  Speaking of COVID, the future king declared, “There is a golden opportunity to seize something good from this crisis…global crises know no borders, and highlight how interdependent we are as one people sharing one planet.”  Using COVID as an opportunity to shill for a “climate change” hoax that has nothing to do with environmental science and everything to do with globalism’s love for totalitarianism, wealth redistribution, and carbon taxes, the Marxist monarch continued, “Unless we take the action necessary, and build in a greener and more inclusive and sustainable way, then we will have more and more pandemics.”  Charles put his royal imprimatur behind a Marxist-globalist institution that fetishizes phrases such as “stakeholder economics”; “sustainability”; “diversity, inclusion, and equity”; and “environmental, social, and governance.” 

The WEF’s pantheon of global power players used COVID to advance their obsessions with “climate change,” global government, the “Fourth Industrial Revolution,” and the technocratic surveillance state.  Kings, presidents, and prime ministers all conspired to do the WEF’s bidding.  They posted identical social media messages in their native languages and delivered the same speeches in public.  But the Intelligence Community thinks only dangerous domestic extremists could possibly believe that global aristocrats are actively working to demolish national sovereignty and self-government and construct a “New World Order” in which the few control the many.

All of this was easy to see during the Reign of COVID Tyranny.  Basic science was ignored, while compromised public health institutions pimped for Big Pharma.  Rights and freedoms disappeared, while bureaucrats and politicians flexed their authoritarian muscles.  Ordinary people became poorer, while favored corporations profited.  Because this COVID carnage was plainly visible, Biden administration goons put any American with a working brain on a terrorist watchlist. 

That’s not particularly surprising.  Merrick Garland’s thuggish Department of (in)Justice and Chris Wray’s Cheka-FBI infringed Americans’ constitutional rights with gusto.  They threw veterans, Christians, and public school parents on terrorism watchlists just for expressing personal beliefs.  A special Homeland Security Intelligence committee that included Russia collusion fraudsters John Brennan and James Clapper wanted to reclassify political dissent as a “public health” issue, so that ordinary citizens and school teachers would feel more comfortable reporting conservative neighbors and students to the feds.  The people who held great power during the Obama and Biden presidencies behaved as if betraying the Bill of Rights were part of their official oaths.

Dementia Joe Biden was not only mentally unfit but also morally unfit to hold the office of the U.S. president.  No-one will soon forget his dictatorial speech in front of a “hellish red background” at Philadelphia’s Independence Hall before the 2022 midterms.  In a decade when Hitler comparisons are ubiquitous, Biden’s dark and divisive polemic against Republicans really took the Nazi cake.  

Social critic Tim Young remarked afterwards, “I’m not saying ‘fascism’ officially had its coming out party in America tonight…I’m just saying Biden condemned his political opponents as a threat to America and democracy set to a blood red background with the military standing behind him.”  Political reporter Mia Cathell agreed: “Nothing screams unity like a backdrop of blood red lighting and Marines positioned behind Biden as he shouts with raised clenched fists from the podium.”  

Along with his cognitive deterioration (obvious to all but the propaganda press), Biden’s menacing Philadelphia speech defined his “presidency” as unapologetically despotic.  That his national security agencies designated critics of the government’s anti-American COVID policies “Domestic Violent Extremists” was just par for the course.

The Fracturing of the Marxist Democrat Party

Recently, the old guard within the Democrat party and their allies in the legacy media have been beset with analysis paralysis while trying to figure out what has happened to the party in light of Donald Trump’s overwhelming victory in 2024 and what can be done to win in 2028.

The answer to both questions is straightforward and simple. The Democrat party is irreversibly and overwhelmingly dominated by its most radical element, the Marxists, who are an avowedly antisemitic, racist, despotic, and anti-American faction that can no longer hide in the shadows after the 2020 and 2024 election cycles. Thus, the Democrat party’s fracturing is now inevitable as the vast majority of Americans will never acquiesce to the United States being governed by a Marxist cabal. 

The largest group underpinning the Democrat party has been and still consists of credulous, patronizing, and narcissistic self-declared liberals who, in their naiveté, willfully allied themselves with far-left radicals to maintain their power status. While living in their cocoons among the likeminded, they chose to ignore and, therefore, gave their de facto imprimatur to the Marxists’ infiltration of the Democrat party, including the Marxists’ declared intention to transform America, by any means possible, into a Marxist “paradise” that will, ironically, devour these same liberal elites.

In the United States, the current iteration of Marxists began their ascendancy into the nation’s mainstream when they insinuated themselves into the Civil Rights Movement and Vietnam War protests of the 1960s, as well as into the post-secondary education establishment. Thus, an army of indoctrinated Marxists was unleashed to infiltrate federal and state government bureaucracies, along with the primary target, the Democrat party.

These radicals, thanks to the presidency of their fellow-traveler, Barack Obama, and their control of the White House during the Biden presidency, have achieved a position of dominance within the nation’s cultural and entertainment establishments and are in command of one of the nation’s two major political parties.

The transformation the Marxist radicals seek will subsume their liberal allies, as there is no room in the structure they are building for the elites, their wealth, and their unfettered and hedonistic lifestyles. While some have awakened to this reality, the vast swath of self-described progressives and liberals, in their psychotic hatred of Donald Trump, have chosen to remain blissfully oblivious. Thus, the Marxist radicals have had power far beyond their numbers.

Their power was on display when they, together with the liberal elites, orchestrated a massively fraudulent election in 2020 (the scale of which can never be repeated) as well as four years of being the de facto president during the Biden Administration. While the party establishment foolishly chose Joe Biden as the vehicle to defeat Donald Trump, the Marxist faction knew that they could, with their moles and allies in the White House, further transform the United States, hidden behind the façade of a blackmailable, senescent, incompetent, and incoherent Joe Biden.

By 2024, the Marxists in charge of the Biden White House had succeeded in creating a nation drowning in debt, suffering from rampant inflation, undergoing an invasion of 15-20 million illegal immigrants, chaffing under an illicit two-tier justice system, enduring unconstrained government spending, and beset with self-induced international chaos. By October of 2023, 78% of Americans said the nation was heading in the wrong direction.

It was not only economic and governmental factors that caused this record polling result but also the Marxist cabal’s determination, with the tacit approval of the liberal elites, to upend America’s unique open society through unfettered mass illegal immigration and the incitement of racial animosity and antisemitism..

The racist outlook of the current mélange of Marxist-inspired activists and narcissists is little different from Karl Marx’s openly expressed racism. As a means of triggering potential violence and the need for a police state, these same Marxists within the Democrat party have been actively promoting societal strife by provoking anti-white racism among the black community, which, like Marx, they view as gullible, ignorant pawns.

Unsurprisingly, the vast majority of Marxists are also virulently antisemitic. They are fully onboard with Karl Marx’s unequivocal belief that Jews are part and parcel of the oppressor class that must be eradicated. Marx, in an 1844 essay entitled On the Jewish Question, argued that in the final analysis, the emancipation of the Jews is the emancipation of mankind from the Jews. In other words, Jews can only become free when, as Jews, they no longer exist.

Further amplifying his overriding and overt racism, in a letter Marx wrote to his co-author and friend Frederich Engels in 1879, Marx described one guest at a resort he was visiting as a “Jewish ni**er.” This was a vile racist epithet Marx often used in his writings and conversations, as documented by Diane B. Paul in an essay published in The Journal of the History of Ideas (1981).

Many on the far left unabashedly celebrated Hamas’s October 7, 2023, premeditated slaughter of over 1,200 men, women, and children in Israel. A majority of the American citizenry, including many among the liberal elites, were shocked, not only to see the vast number of people on university campuses and throughout the nation celebrating and supporting Hamas but also how lackadaisically Democrat party leaders responded to these demonstrations.

America began to awaken to the depth of indoctrination, racism, and antisemitism that is not only rampant in academia but, more importantly, due to the Marxist control of the party, has a home within the Democrat party.

Not content to upend American society, the Marxists in the United States, under the banner of the Democrat party, are also determined to destroy the culture by attacking and undermining this nation’s core values.

The constitutionally protected rights of free speech and religious freedom and the Second Amendment’s right to bear arms have been the primary targets of this onslaught. Using governmental power to censor speech, the promotion of transgenderism and child mutilation, the sole-minded focus to outlaw private gun ownership, the ongoing denigration of Christianity and Judaism, and the alliance with the entertainment establishment to promote deviancy and immorality are all part of the grand plan to fracture the United States and increase the susceptibility of the bulk of the citizenry into accepting a permanent one-party Marxist/socialist central government.

Unlike the Democrat party during the twentieth century, when the foundational tenet promoted a hybrid form of socialism within a unique American governance and economic structure, the current iteration is wholly committed to the repeatedly failed tenets of core Marxism and the belief that this end justifies the means.

Donald Trump’s awe-inspiring 2024 victory under extraordinarily difficult circumstances and his four-year agenda to make America great again have fully exposed and shone a spotlight on the Marxist takeover of the Democrat party. They also revealed that the American people do not want to be shackled under the yoke of a Marxist cabal.

The Marxist Democrat party can no longer hide or obfuscate its role in undermining the United States over the past twenty-five years. All the closed-door meetings, grandiose pronouncements, and action plans by the Democrat party hierarchy will not mitigate the reality that the party cannot continue as structured and will ultimately fracture.

If Democrats Had the Truth on Their Side They Wouldn’t Have to Lie All the Time

Democrats' Party pearl-clutchers, perverts, and activists pretended to be upset last week over the idea that we’re all going to die. The fact is, we will all die someday, though their bad ideas will live on – 100,000,000 people were killed in the pursuit of the progressive political philosophy over the last century. There isn’t a single leftist alive who is bothered by that fact who can attest to that fact.

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst told a group of liberals whining over the prospect of able-bodied adults without young children having to work to receive medical welfare that “Well, we’re all going to die.” And yes, Medicaid is medical welfare – a program for the poor to cover their health care costs that was expanded by the left during COVID to cover people who are not poor. 

The idea of rolling back an expansion that didn’t exist 5 years ago is now considered (by Democrat drones) to be an attack on families, which is weird because they spend an awful lot of time trying to prevent families from coming into being with abortion.

In the least shocking turn of event since the sun rising in the east this morning, Democrat sleazebags jumped on this like it was a moderately attractive intern in a left-wing committee office up on the Hill to pretend Ernst was in favor of facilitating “literal deaths” of Americans because they want to give “tax cuts to billionaires.”

It’s something so stupid it makes Eric Swalwell capable of tying his own shoes. 

Honestly, when you have Chris Murphy, Democrat of Connecticut, trying to lecture about “morality” a few months after he left his wife and family for a much younger woman, a left-wing, Soros-funded activist, who I assume is a woman. Still, with Democrats, you can’t ever be sure.

What Ernst said was undeniably true, and the Republican bill will only remove able-bodied, non-poor people from Medicaid if they refuse to work or volunteer for 20 hours per week. How is that “killing people”? It’s not, of course, but Democrats haven’t been bound by reality for a generation, so why would they start now?

Rather than explain how a family of 4 making $80,000 per year qualifies for welfare designed to help poor people, they’d rather claim Republicans want them dead. Rather than explain how millions of illegal aliens are not only entitled to live in this country simply because they want to, they’d rather insist they “deserve” health care paid for by everyone else. People who have contributed nothing to society, and will never contribute more than they take, most of them cannot communicate in English, are illiterate in their own language thanks to the failed education system in their home countries, and whose children slow down and damage the education of American children. 

Aside from a lottery win, it is virtually impossible for them to be a net economic positive for the country for their generation and quite possibly the next. If we didn’t have almost #37 trillion in debt, maybe we could weather that cost, but we are and cannot. 

What Joni Ernst said, on every level, is absolutely true. She’s not being attacked for lying, the left is freaking out because she told the truth and they have no use for the truth. It does them no favors, and the American people don’t like what they advocate for, so they don’t discuss it.

After the fake social media outrage, I saw that Ernst had released a new video, one that looked like it would be an apology. Immediately, I was disappointed. Then I watched it. 

It was no apology, it was a middle finger and a loud “Kiss my ass!” 

I loved it. To hell with those people. 

Ernst displayed a brilliant attitude throughout the whole thing. Other Republicans need to embrace it – tell off leftists who come to town halls for the express purpose of creating a moment where “progressive fascists” can go viral online. 

Ask these Democrats to explain what it is they don’t like in the bill, specifically, then let them talk. Each time they stop, point out how they either were wrong or didn’t actually say anything beyond talking points, because that’s what they do (it’s all they do). Then tell them where they can go and what they can do when they arrive. Oh, and never stop repeating the truth – Democrats have no answer to that.

European Populism Is Rising Against An Oppressive Political Elite

 Europe’s political class has turned its back on the people it was supposed to protect. The people have taken notice.

ver the weekend, a conservative Polish historian named Karol Nawrocki, backed by the Law and Justice opposition (and President Trump), narrowly won the Polish presidential election. For the European political establishment, Nawrocki’s victory was a catastrophe — a harbinger of right-wing fascism looming over the continent. 

Why? Because Nawrocki campaigned against the mass immigration policy of Brussels while promoting conservative Catholic values and Polish nationalism. During his victory speech Sunday night, Nawrocki said, “My Poland is a Poland without illegal migrants. It is a Poland where, instead of integration centers, there are deportation centers for those who want to destroy our safety.”

It turns out, this sentiment is increasingly popular not just in Poland but all across Europe. Last week in Portugal, the right-wing populist Chega party overtook the center-left Socialist Party as the country’s main opposition. Six years ago, Chega had only a single seat in the Assembly of the Republic. It now has 60. In Germany, Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) is one of the most popular political parties in the country, yet Germany’s domestic intelligence agency has officially classified AfD a right-wing extremist group. Why? Because AfD opposes mass immigration and promotes German national identity. In France’s national elections last year, only a desperately cobbled-together coalition of left-wing parties prevented the right-wing National Rally (RN) and its allies from winning.

These populist movements are seen as a threat to the political class of Europe because they are concerned primarily with a proper historical understanding of what the nation is and what the state is for, which is the preservation of the nation and the defense of its people and heritage. Europe’s elites hate that, because their political project is explicitly post-national. They want to destroy the nation as such and replace it with supra-national institutions governed by a global elite. 

The Trump administration has noticed this. Indeed one of the most important strategic foreign policy moves of the Trump administration has been the reorientation of America’s relationship with Europe in light of these new realities. The White House has made an accurate assessment that Europe’s political class no longer supports the Western tradition of natural law, individual rights, and national sovereignty. It’s a recognition, quite frankly, that European leaders have taken an authoritarian turn against their own people, calling into question the special relationship the United States has had with Europe since the American Founding.

Vice President J.D. Vance alluded to this back in February in his speech at the Munich Security Conference, calling out European governments for criminalizing free speech, jailing citizens for their opinions, and attempting to outlaw popular political parties. “You cannot win a democratic mandate by censoring your opponents or putting them in jail,” Vance said. “Whether that’s the leader of the opposition, a humble Christian praying in her own home, or a journalist trying to report the news.”

The growing authoritarianism of European elites has since become a recurring theme in the Trump administration. A recent and much-discussed essay on the U.S. State Department’s Substack page by Samuel Samson placed this authoritarian drift into its proper historical context. After the devastation of World War Two, European powers sought to prevent future conflict by creating so-called “open societies” that would transcend nationalism and tradition in favor of a global liberalism that would in theory knit the continent, and indeed the world, closer together.

“Today, this promise lies in tatters,” writes Samson. “What endures instead is an aggressive campaign against Western civilization itself. Across Europe, governments have weaponized political institutions against their own citizens and against our shared heritage. Far from strengthening democratic principles, Europe has devolved into a hotbed of digital censorship, mass migration, restrictions on religious freedom, and numerous other assaults on democratic self-governance.”

Chad Wolf, former acting Homeland Security director during Trump’s first term, reiterated this analysis in a speech last week at CPAC Hungary. European elites, he said, are increasingly “America brained,” a term that describes a “fixation on the leftist and globalist currents in American civics.” This fixation is what led to the decision by European leaders to allow in “floods of migrants with little to no cultural or civic compatibility to their host societies.” They are doing this as a result of ideas concocted by the American left, such as “the nation doesn’t really exist, is infinitely expansible, does not require generations of prior effort and inculcation, and moreover has no moral right to define itself.”

The natural consequence of this isn’t just mass immigration of unassimilated populations and all the attendant societal problems that brings, but also active persecution of the native population that dares to raise an objection to these policies — or any policy that runs counter to the reigning leftist ideology animating European elites.

And by persecution, I don’t mean cultural disapproval but the hard power of the state brought against its own citizens. Most Americans probably don’t realize that Britain arrests thousands of people every year for social media posts the government deems offensive. In 2023, British police arrested more than 12,000 people — a whopping 58 percent increase from 2019, according to government data.

By now, everyone in Britain knows that if you go online to criticize immigration or express disapproval of pro-Hamas demonstrations in Britain, you can expect a visit from the police. Amid anti-immigration protests and rioting last year in the wake of a mass stabbing that left three girls dead and others wounded, the British government warned its citizens to “think before you post.” The warning wasn’t against posting calls for violence, but against anything the government deemed offensive or inciting “hatred.”  

Government crackdowns on free speech aren’t limited to immigration, of course — nor are they even limited to speech as such. Last year, for example, a British army veteran was convicted for praying silently outside an abortion clinic and ordered to pay a nearly $12,000 fine. In its ruling, the court found the man’s presence outside an abortion clinic amounted to “disapproval of abortion” because “at one point his head was seen slightly bowed and his hands were clasped,” according to ADF International. This ran afoul of a new law criminalizing anything that might be construed as disapproval of abortion within a certain distance from abortion clinics.

It wasn’t an isolated case. In December 2022, a woman was arrested for doing the same in Birmingham. The charges were eventually dropped, but she was arrested again in March 2023. Those charges were also eventually dropped, but at a certain point it’s clear that the process in these cases is part of the punishment. 

And it’s not just social media posts or silent prayer that can get British citizens in trouble with the law. A man who burned a Koran outside the Turkish consulate in London to protest what he called the “Islamist government” of Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan is now facing criminal prosecution. His conviction would mean the effective reintroduction of blasphemy laws to Britain, which were abolished in England and Wales in 2008 and in Scotland in 2021. It would also establish Islam as a special protected religious class and the Koran as a specially protected religious object, meaning that Britain would have a blasphemy law for Islam, but not other religions.

What this would amount to is a form of dhimmitude, an Islamic legal system governing non-Muslim people conquered by jihad wars and living in territories subject to Sharia or Islamic law. Convicting a man for burning the Koran in London would mean Britain itself has capitulated to the demands of its unassimilated Muslim minority, and has established a de facto system of dhimmitude against its own native British population. 

This heavy-handedness from European governments is what Vance was talking about in his Munich Security Conference speech when he said that such policies look “more and more like old, entrenched interests hiding behind ugly, Soviet-era words like misinformation and disinformation, who simply don’t like the idea that somebody with an alternative viewpoint might express a different opinion, or, God forbid, vote a different way — or even worse, win an election.”

If Nawrocki’s victory in Poland is any indication, populists in Europe are eventually going to start winning elections. When that happens, we should be prepared for European elites to react in the worst possible way, cracking down on duly elected political leaders while invoking “democracy” to justify their tyranny. 

The Trump administration, for its part, should be prepared to respond to this impending conflict — and come down on the side of the European people against their corrupt elites.

In these last 130 days, President Trump has effectively ended the authorized illegal mass invasion of the country by thousands of destitute people every day, and he has moved to end the intolerable trade deficit of more than $1 trillion and to promote foreign investment in the United States and repatriation of some industry while profoundly restructuring the approximately 20 percent of the nation’s GDP that is taken up by foreign trade. 

Where there had been no serious discussion of peace in Ukraine in the nearly two years of that war, it is now being actively, if elusively, pursued. The president has repeated his former unequivocal position that a nuclear armed Iran would not be tolerated and that while he would prefer to negotiate the abandonment of that program he will not hesitate to eliminate it unilaterally if there is no alternative.

The omnibus bill that is inching its way delicately through the Congress will presumably be approved in close to its present form. It is astonishingly comprehensive. Among other measures it abolishes tax on overtime, tax on tips, tax on Social Security benefits, and tax on 401(k) income. It makes it tax advantageous to buy American-built cars and permits the entire cost of a new factory to be written off at once rather than over 39 years. There are literally hundreds of policy areas touched by this extraordinarily ambitious measure.

All of this is contemporaneous with an assault on racist provocations in the curriculum and tolerated ambience of American universities and on abusive woke authoritarianism dictating standards of diversity, equity, inclusion, obligatory environmentalism, and authoritarian leftist notions of social justice and corporate governance to the universities and the corporations of America.

There is overwhelming public approval for the administration’s comprehensive assault upon Critical Race Theory and transgender meddling and oppression in the Armed Forces and in women’s sports. Healthier food and lower drug prices are being aggressively pursued, and every Cabinet or equivalent officer has been tasked to get rid of woke policymaking and unjustifiable expenses. This includes the Department of Defense, which has also been tasked and endowed to assure that the United States will not be technologically outdistanced by any other country in hypersonic missiles and large warship defense and that President Reagan’s goal of a comprehensive anti-missile defense will be resumed.   

Mr. Trump is indeed “filling the zone,” but there is room for another critical initiative: profound criminal law and tort reform. It is a cherished myth of American life that the world envies the United States its justice system. In fact, all other societies that can rightly claim to be legally based and observant regard the United States legal system with horror. The United States has 5 percent of the world’s population and 25 percent of its incarcerated people. It also has something close to 50 percent of its formally qualified lawyers.

The frequency of civil litigation and the percentage of the national GDP that it consumes is a scandalous waste of time and money in activities that in other civilized jurisdictions would be dismissed as “frivolous and vexatious litigation.” The immense political power of the legal profession prevents serious reform.

More worrisome and urgent is that in federal prosecutions 98 percent are successful, 95 percent without a trial, because of the manipulation of the plea bargain system. Potential witnesses are required to produce evidence supporting the prosecution under threat of being charged themselves with obstruction of justice but are assured that if they can jog their memories fruitfully for the benefit of the prosecution, they are guaranteed immunity from prosecution for perjury. 

The corruption of this system is notorious, and there is not one prosecutor in the United States who does not concede that a good deal of it exists. It is an absolute mockery of the rights guaranteed in the Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, and Eighth Amendments against unlawful seizure and unreasonable bail, and promising a just grand jury and due process, prompt justice, and an impartial jury.

Mr. Trump has been subjected to greater illegal prosecutorial harassment than any prominent political figure in American history and is certainly very sensitive to the fragility and corruption of the American legal system. The lawyers love their 360° cartel disguised and swaddled in a lot of claptrap about a society of laws, and with even more nauseating hypocrisy, pompous piffle about “no one being above the law.” The United States has 10 times the per capita amount of violent crime of Canada. This is to some extent unavoidable in a country of 330 million people, and 400 million firearms, where the right to bear arms is constitutionally guaranteed.

The only way to make any progress in this problem is to require the simple process of lasering identification onto ammunition and recording it at point of sale. I serve as an unpaid adviser for a firm, in which I have a potential financial interest, that has the most effective process to identify ammunition in this way. It will make greatly more efficient the warehousing and sequenced use of the large ammunition stores of the Armed Forces and metropolitan police departments, but it would also lead to the identification of many buyers of ammunition used in gun crimes and would at least increase the anemically low conviction rate on such crimes and would deter some of them. It would be progress. 

Yet the president and the attorney general will have to define a path between anti-gun fanatics who insist on butting their heads against the constitutional wall of entitlement of citizens to keep and bear arms, and ideologues in the police departments who see efforts to curb gun crime as an unconstitutional assault on the police departments’ best friends in society.

Feature, say, a former New York City police commissioner, Bernard Kerik, whom I contacted during my work to promote laser ID markings on ammunition. Despite high initial interest, Kerik within a week did a 180-degree turn on identified ammunition after a few of his police chums said gun-owners must not endure the slightest inconvenience — a view that is just as hopeless an attitude as the ambition to confiscate peoples’ guns. Kerik’s answer to everything was more police — a good idea but not the only solution. Neither inflexible Palookas nor delusional gun-confiscators will reduce this profound problem.

There is a vast opportunity here for the president to emancipate the public from abusive lawsuits, turn the criminal justice system into a justice system and not just the conveyor belt to the bloated and corrupt prison system, reduce gun crime, and give America again a proud legal system.

Trump Agrees To End Tariffs On China In Exchange For Their Kung Fu Masters Teaching Him The Death Touch

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Tensions from the ongoing trade war showed signs of potentially easing up, with President Donald Trump agreeing to end tariffs on China in exchange for their Kung Fu masters teaching him the "Death Touch."

Experts hailed the tentative agreement as a huge win for the Trump administration, as the Chinese have been notoriously reluctant over the centuries to divulge knowledge of the deadly move to any outsiders.

"It's the deadliest move of all time, and I'm going to know it," Trump told reporters in the Oval Office after the news broke. "Have you ever seen it? It's tremendous. I saw it in Kill Bill. And the Batman cartoon, also. You just touch a guy with your finger, and he drops dead. The Chinese know all about it. They teach it in the Kung Fu temples. If they want me to drop the tariffs, they're going to teach me. Everyone will know not to mess with me, believe me."

A spokesman for the Chinese Communist Party refused to confirm or deny the report. "It is not our policy to comment on ancient Chinese secrets," said Wang Bao. "It is our hope that we can come to a suitable agreement with the United States regarding these excessive tariffs. We are prepared to fly our best Kung Fu masters to Washington, D.C., to provide Mr. Trump with the knowledge he seeks… if we believe the agreement is fair. The last thing we want is to teach him the ‘Death Touch' without guarantees that it will not be used against us."

At publishing time, Trump was reportedly playing hardball by also demanding that China provide the secret recipe for General Tso's Chicken.
