Fighting the War on Western Man

For ten years, Justin Trudeau purposefully ran Canada into the ground via mass immigration and various other malfeasance. So what do Canadians do when he leaves?

They re-elect the Liberals. You just can’t make it up. Our new PM’s far more polished, but he’s also a blatant globalist and I fear a sinister side will emerge quickly.

America, on the other hand, re-elected Trump for the second time -- some would say third -- and I took great comfort in that victory. I firmly believe Trump’s talk of annexing Canada was purely to troll our weak and effeminate former PM, and I loved it.

But can Americans rest easy? No way. Not with clowns like AOC lining up for 2028. Who comes after Trump? It’s a huge concern in a world where globalists and commies circle Western countries like vultures.

They don’t have our best interests at heart. They don’t care about the American Dream or the nuclear family. They don’t give two hoots about patriotism or the pursuit of happiness. In fact, these are bad things -- obstacles to be crushed.

We all feel the threat, but what can we do? How can we fight the madness?

Some fight it head on. No subterfuge. No pseudonyms. No fear. Despite various levels of tyranny, these brave souls act up and speak out. They make it their mission. They risk job loss, ostracization, persecution, imprisonment, even death. God bless them. They’re modern-day heroes.

Myself, I don’t have that kind of courage. I confine my dissidence to writing novels, and I’ve been at it over ten years, documenting the war on First Worldnations. As I’ve worked my way through the Anglosphere, I’ve had my eye on the crown jewel for some time -- Britain herself. But when all I see is modern-day Brits being defiled, humiliated, and reduced to second-class citizens, what story is there to tell? I can’t serve up a black pill, but crafting a plausible near-future happy ending seemed near impossible. ’Twas a thorny dilemma.

Meanwhile on social media, I’d been noticing the popularity of nostalgic imagery of yesterday’s Britain. People found joy and comfort in the content.

Presto!

The idea for Time Travel arrived with a flourish. With this plot device, I could take readers on grand adventures exploring the beauty and grace of not-so-long-ago Britain. All sorts of possibilities emerged. How was the present shaped? How can the future be shaped? Time Travel allowed a book about England that was palatable, enjoyable, and even offered a modicum of hope.

The idea was so fraught with possibility, I realized an entire series was needed to properly tell the tale. There’s just so much to celebrate in the Anglosphere. We’ve been demonized so unfairly and for so long that we forget the near-otherworldly accomplishments of our ancestors. European men -- particularly the British -- invented the modern world. They built the finest nations on the planet from scratch, and they did it everywhere they went.

The high-trust communities they created transcended nature. The early inhabitants of these derivative nations took the peace and prosperity for granted. They assumed it was the natural order. Of course, it was anything but. It was a unique and singular product of Western Man.

Where other tribes through history tended to annihilate indigenous populations, Englishmen showed an extraordinary capacity to transcend tribalism and seek a spirit of cooperation. No doubt, there were exceptions. They used force when threatened and they imposed laws to protect their people. But they genuinely sought to lift and enlighten others, to an almost pathological degree. They struggled to grasp that other races were not like them and may never be.

Over time, resentments formed, and those resentments were relentlessly stoked by the media and Hollywood. The programming eventually evolved into a non-stop anti-white pogrom. An endless parade of vicious blood libels. In modern pop culture, only white men are allowed to be villains. Only whites are portrayed as uniquely evil. And in modern-day reality, only whites are undeserving of a homeland.

The powers that be have acted in unison to simultaneously attack – through demographic warfare -- almost all formerly white countries. This open ethnic cleansing -- historically dismissed as conspiracy theory -- is no longer a secret. There’s no more denial or debate. The mask is off. Whites are being replaced in their homelands, and it’s a good thing.

And so, through fiction, I offer a much-needed dose of optimism for a people whose spirit has been badly damaged, and in many cases, destroyed. The Brits and their cousins around the world must re-remember the greatness from which they’ve come. And in doing so, recognize that greatness is still within them.

Critics may claim Britain on the Brink describes an idealized version of the past. A romanticized version. I reject the criticism. Certainly, parts of yesteryear’s England were ugly and industrial and rundown, even gloomy. Certainly, there was a measure of injustice and poverty. But the English mind and soul was there. The land was English. The government wasn’t authoritarian.

The war on Western Man is the biggest story of our age, and we’re not supposed to notice. I say screw that. We must all do what we can, and for me that’s writing books that take the side of indigenous Europeans. I support the preposterous position that we have a right not to be destroyed.

How can anyone argue otherwise?

NCIS Night is official for next Season, X22, and more- May 7

ANNOUNCED TODAY BY CBS: All next Season, Fall, Winter, Spring, Tuesdays will be an official All NCIS Night!!

This marks the 1st time CBS has ever tried such a lineup, and will mark the return of the main show to it's famous Tuesday 8pm slot where it dominated for a large chunk of it's run.

After hearing the rumors that NCIS Sydney was getting an actual full Season episode order for it's 3rd Season, I had been hoping that CBS was considering airing it in the Fall with the others. And with the FBI franchise being decimated due to costs, I figured Tuesday would be the perfect night.

I'm glad I was right.

This also means there will be 4, count em, 4 NCIS's airing this Fall! (Tony and Ziva begins streaming this Fall).

It's an NCIS world, ya'll, and we're now living in it! (now to see if those writers have finally been convinced to bring back Hetty...)

On to what you come here each night to see:

A Second American Revolution

Donald Trump and Elon Musk are upending Washington. Good.

Not far from our place is a small street named after Rabbi Aryeh Levin. Rabbi Levin was very well known in his day, however modest a man he was. He was called the “Prisoners’ Rabbi” as he would meet with Jews arrested by the British and shuttle letters between them and their families on the outside. It was said that if a couple had marital problems, he would have them come over at 3 or 4 in the morning so that nobody would see them entering his home.

I once heard a talk by his grandson who grew up in the US. He said the following: “We can learn the potential of a person by the big things that he does. We can learn the quality of that person from the small things.” I thought about that expression in regards to both Donald Trump and Elon Musk. The president has built buildings all over the world and has performed the biggest political comeback in American history. The Knicks were down 20 in the third quarter of the NBA semifinals on Monday and came back to win. Donald Trump was down 200 in the fourth quarter and quashed Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party, their heavy donors and those in Washington who did not want to see the Orange Man again. Elon Musk built successful car, space and other companies from scratch and admitted that his likelihood for success with Tesla and SpaceX was less than 10%. Those are the big things.

But as to the small things, one often sees President Trump doing kindness to somebody neither rich nor famous. The young boy with brain cancer whom he hugged in the Oval Office or the soldier standing outside of Marine 1 whose hat blew off and the president went to get it and put it back on his head. Then there is Musk’s son, Lil X, who often accompanies his father to the White House and for whom Donald Trump has shown affection as they walked out together towards the presidential helicopter. One sees the private side of the president, and he can be very generous and caring.

When the Fox interview of DOGE programmers appeared last week, the first thing I noticed was that the young fellows were wearing jackets and ties. I am certain that during their long hours of work they wear tee shirts like their boss. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had planned to come in “Tech Support” or “Colonize Mars” shirts to the 10 pm interview. But Musk understood that these young men needed to be presentable to the American people. They are involved in a program similar to the Moon Shot or Manhattan Project. Their efforts to go through every line of the federal budget is critical to the continued solvency and existence of the United States of America. Elon Musk knows that DOGE is new and that it needs to be seen in a positive light by the voting American public. He made sure that his guys looked presentable and came off as regular Americans. Sure, people call Edward Coristine “Big Balls” but he sounded normal and articulate. And that is important if the massive federal budget is going to be cleaned up and made to serve the American people. I was happy to hear that there are many federal employees who are good at what they do and are glad to see DOGE come in and clean up their departments.

I thought about those young geniuses, including one who left Harvard over being harassed for his governmental work. Then I thought about their peers at US colleges. While not all students today are rabid pro-Hamas lunatics, there certainly seem to be a lot who are. So while these young men pore over billions of dollars of spending to determine if it is legitimate or not, their former friends from high school are screaming that the only Jewish state in the world must be destroyed and given to a bunch of rapists and child killers. On the one hand you have articulate patriots who could make a lot more money in the private sector; they spend their days and nights weeding out billions in waste, fraud, and theft. On the other hand, you have ideologically perverted kids who praise the mass rape and murder of civilians because they were Jews. This contrast could be run fully through the Republican and Democratic parties of today. Whereas the Democrats brought in millions of unvetted illegal aliens in order to create a de facto electoral majority for decades to come, the Republicans are trying to produce for the American people and thus earn continued leadership of the nation. The Democrats are furious at Musk for uncovering their NGO and other grifts that moved billions of dollars of tax funds to their favorite causes and individuals. They hate Trump for giving Musk the keys to the realm, and Musk must watch as people damage his cars for the “sin” of making America stronger.

I don’t know if the DOGE fellows wanted to show up to their interview as Musk did—in tee shirt under his jacket. But Musk understood that his guys needed to look serious and professional. Anecdotal stories of people long dead receiving Social Security or thousands of active government workers getting unemployment benefits show that the system is broken and desperately needs the DOGE treatment. Americans understand that spending is out of control and accept Musk’s efforts to get rid of waste and fraud.

Donald Trump is reflexively called by the left a dictator, though he has honored district court rulings against his executive orders. Elon Musk is accused of stealing Social Security funds, while having recently paid $11 billion in taxes—a record.

In true WWE fashion, Education Secretary Linda McMahon has lowered the boom on Harvard: get your affairs in order if you want to apply for new federal funding. I worked for years in research labs, and NIH and similar funding is the oxygen that keeps these places going. Harvard sits on a big pile of dough and it has deep-pocketed donors to help, but in the end it needs Uncle Sam’s money to keep competitive. I wish that Harvard students today were as serious, patriotic and impressive as the DOGE guys who spoke to Fox News. Harvard has become an intellectual and moral cesspool led by cowards and frauds. America’s future is with the DOGE posse and young people like them.

Today In Republicans Being Useless: Thom Tillis Plans To Sink Ed Martin Nomination

It’s not surprising Tillis would go out of his way to try and tank a Trump nominee who could deliver transformational change for Americans.

Is Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., trying to sabotage his 2026 reelection bid? It’s a question worth asking when considering that the Tarheel State’s senior senator seems to be doing everything in his power to betray his constituents ahead of next year’s primary.

While speaking to reporters on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, Tillis, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, formally announced his opposition to the nomination of Ed Martin to serve as the next U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia. With a 12-10 Republican majority on the committee, Tillis’ opposition likely nullifies the body’s ability to favorably move Martin’s nomination to the full Senate for final confirmation.

As The Federalist reported, Martin was tapped by President Trump to serve as interim attorney for the D.C. office shortly after the latter’s Jan. 20 inauguration and was subsequently nominated to fill the position permanently in February. Since taking office, Martin has been focused on restoring accountability and transparency to the Department of Justice, which has included probes into intel officials’ involvement in the Trump-Russia collusion hoax and prosecutions of Jan. 6, 2021, U.S. Capitol demonstrators.

In his Tuesday remarks, Tillis said he doesn’t expect Martin “to be advanced to the [Judiciary Committee’s] markup,” and that, “at this point, [he’s] indicated to the White House [he] wouldn’t support [Martin’s] nomination.” The Republican senator indicated that “most” of his opposition to Martin stems from “concerns” he has about the acting U.S. attorney’s stance on Jan. 6.

“He built a compelling case on some of the 15 [or] 12 prosecutions that were probably heat-of-the-moment bad decisions. But where we probably have a difference [of opinion] is I think anybody that breached the perimeter [of the Capitol] should have been in prison for some period of time,” Tillis said. “Whether it’s 30 days or three years is debatable, but I have no tolerance for anybody who entered the building on January the 6th, and that’s probably where most of the friction was.”

While Tillis acknowledged that Martin is “probably right” about there being demonstrators who were “overprosecuted” by the Biden administration for their conduct, he seemingly couldn’t help himself from gifting the leftist media the soundbites they were clearly looking for.

“We have to be very, very clear that what happened on January the 6th was wrong. … It was not prompted or created by other people to put those people in trouble. They made a stupid decision, and they disgraced the United States by absolutely destroying the Capitol,” Tillis said. “If Mr. Martin were being put forward as a U.S. attorney for any district except the district where … the protest happened, I’d probably support him. But not in this district.”

So, according to his own words, Tillis could summon the courage to vote for Martin if he were nominated for any other district attorney position except the one in D.C. But even if that were the case, it wouldn’t change Martin’s past comments about Jan. 6, which makes Tillis’ excuse completely nonsensical.

Then again, it’s not surprising Tillis would go out of his way to try and tank a Trump nominee who could deliver transformational change for Americans.

The North Carolina senator did not deny playing a role in orchestrating an apparent last-minute scheme to sabotage Pete Hegseth’s defense secretary nomination, according to the Wall Street Journal. While Tillis ultimately voted to confirm Hegseth, the incident demonstrates how far the senator is willing to go to protect the D.C. status quo.

Look no further than Tillis’ ongoing attempts to salvage parts of President Biden’s wrongly named “Inflation Reduction Act.” Last month, the North Carolina Republican co-signed a letter asking Senate Majority Leader John Thune to spare the IRA’s “green energy” tax credits from being cut in the party’s reconciliation package.

And that example only scratches the surface of Tillis’ years-long career running defense for the swamp’s interests.

In recent years, the Tarheel State’s senior senator has supported massive spending packages, gun control legislation, allowing trans-identifying individuals to serve in the military, a bill “redefining” the original meaning of marriage, and making women eligible for the draft. In December 2022, he also worked behind the scenes with then-Democrat-caucusing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema, I-Ariz., on a measure that sought to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, as The Washington Post reported.

And who could forget Tillis’ willingness to ship billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars and resources to Ukraine? The senator has gone out of his way to insult the intelligence of voters who disagree with his stance, telling reporters last year, “Our base cannot possibly know what’s at stake at the level that any well-briefed U.S. senator should know about what’s at stake if [Vladimir] Putin wins,” according to Punchbowl News.

Tillis’ plan to sink Martin’s nomination may earn him favors with the propaganda press, who will undoubtedly praise this latest betrayal of his constituents as a noble stand against Orange Man Bad. But for his voters back home, not so much.

Without question, Tillis is one of the most cowardly and utterly useless members of the Senate GOP. If North Carolina voters want a senator who actually fights for their wishes, they need to primary this waste of taxpayer money out of office next year. They’d be doing their state — and the nation — a favor.

The Enemy We Face

The Enemy We Face

The most dangerous assault.

PAmerica is being invaded from the outside, but the greatest assault is coming from within.

When the term “fifth column” was coined, it referred to four columns attacking from the outside and one, a fifth column, attacking from the inside. These days the numbers have switched and we have one column coming from the outside, and four columns striking at us from the inside.

The flood of illegal alien migrants did not overwhelm our border security, instead the men who were supposed to be securing the border were retasked by the Biden administration to act as coyotes, escorting illegals through, dismantling security measures put up by states like Texas and Arizona, and then putting the illegal invaders on buses heading around the country.

The ten million illegals who entered the country were a column, but it took a much smaller number of government officials, activists and judges to let them all in. That’s why the fifth column is the ultimate force multiplier. A thousand traitors can bring in ten million invaders.

Islamic terrorists aren’t outsmarting us, they’re taking advantage of national and local government officials that not only let them into the country, but welcome them into the highest levels of power, dismantling law enforcement oversight and leaving them free to attack us.

Even after one of the most decisive elections in recent history, Democrat judges are fighting to keep the border open, the illegals coming and the terrorists already here from being deported.

When Democrats rallied to support Mahmoud Khalil, a Syrian from a Columbia University hate group that called for the “destruction of western civilization,” “Death to America” and the murder of Jews, it was because they, like him, were enemies of all three.

That’s what a fifth column is. It’s the enemy within allied with the illegals and terrorists outside.

The four columns attacking us from within consist of the first column of deep state disloyal government officials, insurrectionist judges, and enemy bureaucrats, the second column of extremist academics, toxic teachers and leftist miseducators, the third column of news media manipulators and entertainment industry brainwashers, and the fourth column of professional activists, street protesters and the organizations behind them.

These four columns, the disloyal officials, the miseducators, the liars and the rioters, are waging war on us from within with the aim of empowering all the external enemies at war with us.

To defeat that world of enemies, we first must identify and defeat these four columns.

The Trump administration is correctly identifying and taking on these four enemy columns. And the fight is bringing them out into the open and exposing the alliances between these groups.

The showdowns with Columbia University, the Associated Press, USAID and activists tackle all four columns, and have them on the ropes. Universities, the second column, are starting to sue for peace, the AP, the third column is still protesting futilely that its privileges of access to government events are really rights, while the fourth column of rioters who wrecked universities and took over campuses are facing deportation, and they all depend on the first column.

Federal judges from the first column have chosen to challenge the power of the presidency and the constitutional checks and balances, with an unprecedented campaign of blocking President Trump’s policies and orders not just locally, but on a nationwide basis. This judicial coup is not just a power struggle between federal courts and the White House, it’s the first column of enemies and traitors rallying to the defense of the other beleaguered three columns.

And in the process, these Clinton, Obama and Biden judges who are intervening to protect terrorists, illegal aliens and government bureaucrats are exposing themselves as not only insurrectionists, unconstitutionally seizing power from the rightful president, but as traitors to this country who are colluding with other leftists embedded across our political and cultural institutions whose ultimate aim is not any single policy, but the destruction of America.

The Trump administration has shown that it can take on three of the four columns, the liars, the miseducators and the rioters, but the real test will come from the first column, the government employees and officials covertly hijacking and sabotaging his policies from within, the state and local officials running sanctuary states and cities in defiance of the law, and the judges who directly match their powers against the president’s, seeking to govern in his place.

The challenge of the ‘fifth column’ comes from the reality that the government could defeat the nation’s enemies, if only it could use its power, instead of being subverted and tied in knots. The enemy within paralyzes and corrupts our institutions, and no enemies are more dangerous than those embedded within the centers of power than those who do their dirty work inside.

That’s why the ultimate battle will be against this greatest of our enemies who lurk ‘within’.

No previous administration ever offered a serious challenge to the four columns as they did their work of devastating, corrupting, robbing, maligning, misleading and manipulating our country. Now the four columns are reeling as their funds are being cut off, their activists rounded up and their decisions are being challenged, not just in court, but in the court of public opinion.

The American people recognized that there is a primal struggle between their interests, values and aspirations and the institutions that have taken control of their lives. That’s why they chose Trump. The more the four columns attack Trump, the more Americans recognize that they have a champion that is fighting for them. And that is why the constant attacks on Trump aren’t working. And as long as Trump keeps getting results by taking on the four columns, they won’t.

Generations of politicians have promised change. And by change, they meant empowering these same rotten institutions that brought us to our lowest point in over a century.

When Americans asked for change, they didn’t mean more unaccountable government agencies, more taxes to fund those agencies and the special interests that profit from them, more corruption by those special interests, even as their lives grew worse every year.

Everything from our economy to our military to our schools to the safety of our communities has gone downhill even as government budgets and taxes climbed to unprecedented heights. This was not an accident or incompetence, it was the deliberate policies of these four columns that were waging a systemic war of total infiltration and destruction against the United States of America. Now, the majority of Americans recognize that someone is fighting back for them.

America cannot be great until the four enemy columns are defeated and the nation can mobilize its best resources to resist its outside enemies once it is no longer being hobbled by its traitors.

Revealed: How FBI Deceived the Public in Congressional Baseball Shooting Probe

Bob Hoge reporting for RedState

In March, FBI Director Kash Patel made a major move regarding the 2017 congressional baseball practice shooting and provided the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence all the documents they had requested regarding the incident. In a joint statement, the Judiciary, Intelligence, and Oversight committees issued a scathing joint report Tuesday alleging that the FBI bungled their investigation and tried to cover up the political motivations of the shooter:

The FBI botched its investigation of the 2017 congressional baseball shooting — downplaying the gunman’s anti-GOP motives despite having handwritten evidence, a blistering House report found.

The House Judiciary Committee, Intelligence Committee and Intelligence Subcommittee on Oversight & Investigation released the scathing, unclassified report on its findings Tuesday after combing through roughly 3,000 case file documents it was given last month on the attack that wounded six, including current House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.), and led to the death of gunman James T. Hodgkinson.

“This is the same FBI that can’t tell us who planted the pipe bomb [on Jan. 6, 2021], who can’t tell us who leaked the Dobbs opinion and who can tell us who put cocaine at the White House,” House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) chided Tuesday morning.

Here’s what went down the day, as I reported recently:

Doubtless you’ll remember the awful shooting at a practice for the 2017 Congressional Baseball Game for Charity where 66-year-old James Hodgkinson first confirmed that Republicans were playing, then unleashed over 60 rounds from his  SKS 7.62mm rifle. Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was severely injured and spent months in recovery, while four other victims were also hit. It could have been much worse without the heroics of Capitol and Alexandria Police, who took out Hodgkinson after a 10-minute shootout.

It was a clear act of political violence perpetrated by a madman who hated Republicans, which is why it wasn’t an even bigger news story. If the shooter had been a white supremacist MAGA lover spraying bullets at Democrats, we’d see wall-to-wall coverage every time the month of June and the anniversary of the shooting rolled around.

Despite the shooter’s clear political motivations gleaned from social media (including being a member of a Facebook group named “Terminate the Republican Party”), the FBI initially categorized the shooting as  “suicide by cop” and didn’t change the classification for four years despite the obvious fallacy of their determination.

The Committees said the Bureau made plenty of other maneuvers to shade the truth:

“The FBI then spent the next four years privately guarding the basis for its determinations by impeding Congressional oversight,” the report assessed. “It was not until the FBI was investigating January 6 protesters and the application of Congressional pressure that the FBI changed course.”

“The FBI used false statements, manipulation of known facts, and biased and butchered analysis to support a narrative that Hodgkinson committed suicide by cop without any nexus to domestic terrorism.”

The Committees further revealed that a handwritten note made it quite clear what really happened, but the feds ignored it:

That suppressed evidence includes key details about a handwritten note found on [shooter] Hodgkinson that listed several Republicans as targets.

At the time, the FBI said it found a sheet of paper that had names of six members of Congress, but did not elaborate.

GOP lawmakers argued that the case file made clear the attack was a “premeditated assassination attempt on Republican congressmen by a radical, left-wing political extremist, who was seeking to affect the conduct of our government.”

Americans have lost a lot of trust in the formerly revered institution that became politicized over time and was then morphed into an outright weapon by first Obama and then Biden. Attorney General Pam Bondi, FBI Director Kash Patel, and the House GOP Committees are working hard to clear out the rot, but there’s a lot of mud in that swamp. This report proves it once again.

Treasury Secretary Bessent and USTR Jamieson Greer Will Meet Chinese Trade Counterparts in Switzerland

The media have been going bananas wondering when President Trump will begin negotiations with China.  President Trump has been very clear that there is no need to open negotiations with China, but all discussions are welcome.

Essentially the point is that tariffs will remain in place until Beijing gets to a point where they acquiesce to the reality of President Trump’s terms for reciprocal trade.  The goal is to bring manufacturing back to the USA, not generate terms where manufacturing remains in China.

The Chinese trade delegation is scheduled to be in Switzerland at the same time as Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer are scheduled to be there.  Both Bessent and Greer announced today they will meet with their Chinese counterparts on the sidelines of their travel to Switzerland.

USTR Press Release – […] “At President Trump’s direction, I am negotiating with countries to rebalance our trade relations to achieve reciprocity, open new markets, and protect America’s economic and national security,” said Ambassador Greer. “I look forward to having productive meetings with some of my counterparts as well as visiting with my team in Geneva who all work diligently to advance U.S. interests on a range of multilateral issues.”

While in Switzerland, Ambassador Greer will also meet with his counterpart from the People’s Republic of China to discuss trade matters.” (link)

Treasury Secretary Press Release – “During Secretary Bessent’s visit to Switzerland, he will meet with President Karin Keller-Sutter of Switzerland, during which the Secretary will follow up on their recent meeting on the sidelines of the recent World Bank Group (WBG) – International Monetary Fund (IMF) Spring Meetings.

While in Switzerland, Secretary Bessent will also meet with the lead representative on economic matters from the People’s Republic of China (PRC). (link)

As we previously noted, the Swiss are very interested in resolving their trade status quickly.

The Swiss Franc is now at the highest point against the U.S dollar in decades. One franc is worth 1.21 dollars.  This makes their exports cost even more.  The Swiss government desperately needs to lower the value of their currency.  The Swiss central bank has already dropped interest rates to 0.25% and is now contemplating negative interest rates as a result.

Why Aid Groups Won’t Help Gazans Unless Hamas Also Benefits

Why Aid Groups Won’t Help Gazans Unless Hamas Also Benefits

Israel has approved a plan to renew food aid to Gazans who are, according to humanitarian organizations, in desperate need of sustenance. The only problem is that these same humanitarian organizations are refusing to distribute the food—or have anything to do with humanitarian supply to Gazan civilians.

Puzzled? Don’t be. The only consistent feature of NGOs and other third-party Gaza interventionists has been their singleminded focus on prolonging the conflict.

Israeli political and military leaders are seeking to solve the defining riddle of the war: how to defeat Hamas. Because Israel is unwilling—no matter the lies you’ve doubtless heard a thousand times—to simply wipe Gaza out, and because no country (looking at you, Egypt) will enable Palestinian civilians temporary shelter within their borders, the process is more difficult and more dangerous for the IDF.

That danger got tensions boiling at a cabinet meeting a couple weeks ago. Defense Minister Israel Katz announced the planned resumption of aid to Gaza even without a cease-fire and stressed that the aid must not be diverted into Hamas’s hands. New IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir reportedly responded that the military would not double as an aid-distribution network. At which point Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich blew up; “the army does not choose its missions,” he said, and if Zamir wouldn’t do it the government would find someone who would.

Increased IDF involvement in aid distribution makes soldiers stationary targets of Hamas, which has been bragging again this week about executing non-Hamas Palestinians who have tried to access aid storage facilities.

But then Smotrich, in a bid to cool tempers, told reporters his problem wasn’t with Zamir but with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, because the government must be willing to order the kind of military deployment that would enable the IDF to control the flow of aid inside the strip.

Since that time, the Israeli government formulated a plan that would indeed enable aid to reach Gazan civilians, but supposed humanitarian groups promised to boycott it. Why?

The groups’ explanations fall into two general categories. The first is logistical: Protecting aid distribution requires having fewer distribution centers within the Gaza Strip. Currently, the aid has been going to Hamas, which has hoarded some and sold the rest at marked-up prices. This keeps Hamas in power and, crucially, it negates the goal of the aid by putting it out of reach of the people who actually need it. A wider security perimeter for the distribution center—only possible with fewer such centers—is one solution to the problem.

But what if the aid groups don’t want to solve the problem? The other, main problem with the plan, says the UN, is that it is “designed to reinforce control over life-sustaining items as a pressure tactic.”

Translation: Israel’s plan enables it to feed the Palestinian population without sustaining Hamas. In other words, it is the only kind of plan that truly makes sense at this point in the war. The subtext of the UN statement, however, is rather astonishing. It is essentially saying that not feeding and supplying Hamas is contrary to the principles of humanitarian intervention.

And I suppose in a way it is—contrary to the UN’s conception of humanitarian intervention, that is. Let’s remember that UNRWA, the UN agency devoted to the descendants of Palestinian refugees, including those internally displaced within what was then Mandate Palestine, was established separately from the UN agency that handles all other refugees. It counts as refugees many millions of people who are manifestly not refugees, even by the UN’s own definition. Its primary use of funding is toward schools that hire Hamas members, serve as Hamas battle stations and weapons depots, and which replaced an educational curriculum with a program of indoctrination into medieval anti-Semitism.

The purpose of all of this is, obviously, to prolong the conflict by teaching violence, offering no alternative, and refusing to resettle refugees and their descendants until Israel is destroyed and the Jews can be wiped out.

The truth is, Hamas has entirely coopted anything that might once have been called a “pro-Palestinian” organization outside of Gaza. Campus pressure groups fly the Hamas flag and wear the green headband, all while Hamas openly murders, maims, and tortures the Gazans who want to be free. Aid groups’ new policy of refusing to feed Gazans unless they and Israel acquiesce to continued Hamas rule—and let’s be frank, that’s exactly what this is—serves the same purpose.

Super Hornet Crashes Landing On USS Truman, Its Second F/A-18 Loss In A Week

Details remain very limited at this time, but CNN reports that another F/A-18 Super Hornet from the Supercarrier USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) has been lost. Two U.S. officials have confirmed to TWZ that the mishap did indeed occur.

CNN states that the jet crashed into the sea during its attempt to land. Both the pilot and the Weapon System Officer (WSO) were able to eject and were recovered by helicopter with only minor injuries. TWZ has confirmed that the arrestment failed on touch-down and the jet careened off the deck. MH-60 Seahawk squadron HSC-11 made the rescue and the F/A-18F Super Hornet was from VFA-11, the Red Rippers.

This is the second loss of a Super Hornet from the carrier — one of two operating in the region — in just a week. The other loss occurred while the vessel was evading a Houthi attack, with the Super Hornet rolling off the deck into the sea. Nobody was hurt in that incident, thankfully.

The USS Harry S. Truman has been deeply involved in months-long intensified air campaign against the Houthis in Yemen. Those hostilities may have now come to an end as the White House declared an agreement with the extremist faction has been reached to cease the exchange of fire. The deal would see the Houthis end their campaign against shipping in and around the Red Sea.

CNN also reports that the Houthis attacked the carrier today despite the deal, stating:

“Separately, the Iran-backed Houthi rebel group “took a shot” at the Truman on Tuesday, the four sources said, despite President Donald Trump announcing an apparent ceasefire with the group hours earlier. It is not clear whether the two incidents are related.”

TWZ has not been able to confirm this at the time of publishing.
