Why the Democrats Really Lost

The blame game and accusations by the Democrats started immediately after Trump’s victory Tuesday, and they were exactly what we expected.  And they proved the Democrats learned nothing, and they won’t, because this is ideological to them, not reality and truth (more on that in a moment).  Most people don’t give up their ideology when they lose.  So, racism, sexism, homophobia, Nazism, etc. were faulted.  That didn’t win the election for Democrats, and won’t be accepted by intelligent people as reasons they lost.

We could break up the Democrats’ loss into a plethora of rationales (racism, sexism, Nazism not being among them), but they are all really rolled into one major problem.  I want to look at two things, but again, point one is actually part and parcel with point two.  Let me explain.

1.  “It was the economy, stupid.”  By all intelligent reasoning, the economy under Biden and Harris was horrible.  They fudged the numbers, but only the sycophantic were fooled by that.  Anybody who went to the grocery store or gas station (or had to stay in Thailand) knew the economy was terrible.  The pocketbook is, has always been, and will always be a strong incentive for people who vote.  Harris lost decisively in 2024, and it is undeniable that the economy was a major, if not THE major, reason why.

The Democrats, of course, will never admit their economy was dismal; that would be admitting their economic ideology is wrong.  And, as noted, they will never give up their ideology.  But that leads to point two, which is the real cause of their defeat, summing up all else.

2.  The Democratic elites, the tyrants who now control the party, have become radical, far-left ideologues, and they pushed the country too far towards left-wing extremism in their lust to destroy traditional America and have the power they crave.  This applies to point one, economics.  The Democratic Party leadership is now genuine Marxist, socialist, big government believers.  They can’t get everything they want yet, but history is a process, not an event.  The Deep State, using Biden as its puppet, expanded government exponentially to give themselves more power.  This created the massive inflation of food, gas, housing, etc. prices that Americans eventually voted against.  So, it was ideology that drove the Democrats to defeat, as they applied that ideology, socialism (which never works) to the American economy and created massive hardships for the people.

But it goes deeper than economics.  I repeat—and this cannot be stated too often—the far, radical Left, the AOCs, the Pelosis, the Harris’s— now control the Democratic Party machine.  The “common” people members of the Democratic Party have always been, at least since Franklin Roosevelt—“left of center.”  Republicans are viewed as “right of center.”  But, until Obama, and especially, Biden, both parties tried to stay reasonably close to the “center” because they knew the American people would not accept radicalism from either the Left or the Right.  Ronald Reagan was probably the most “conservative” President America has had in the past 100 years, but he could not govern “radical right.”  He did some “conservative” things, but had to stay reasonably close to the center.  Bill Clinton was “left of center,” but again, stayed close to that center while governing “left-leaning.”

Today’s Democratic Party has thrown that thinking completely out the window.  They no longer try to stay “moderate” and govern only a little “left of center.”  They want to ram their hard-left ideology down the American people’s throats.  Folks, there is a reason why Kamala Harris chose Tim Walz and not Josh Shapiro as her running mate.  Shapiro (rightly or wrongly) is at least perceived as being more “moderate.”  Harris, a hard-left, radical ideologue, didn’t want somebody like that, so she chose the clone Walz.  That’s the way the Democratic Party elite thinks now.

So, for the past four years, Democrats pushed every radical, nauseating far-left ideological position they could—on the economy, transgenderism, homosexuality, child mutilation, abortion, illegal immigration—they went as extreme as they could, and they got a lot of what they wanted.  The only problem for them is, many “normal” Democratic Party members, and certainly the rest of Americans, were repulsed by this.

America has been drifting left for several decades now.  But the Biden/Harris administration pushed it to an extreme.  The American people just weren’t ready for four more years of a horrible economy, a nation overrun by crime and illegal aliens, men in women’s sports and bathrooms, abortion up through puberty—the Democrats simply forced their radical agenda on a largely unwilling public.  And Donald Trump was elected President.  He’ll bring matters back much closer to the center.  And the radical Democrats, in the media and elsewhere, can’t stand that because they are die-hard, godless, anti-Christian, anti-Ameica, anti-capitalistic ideologues.  Again, they are the Democratic Party elite, and they have a lot of power.  But, for the moment, they are too radical for most Americans.

3.  I think it is also truthful to say that the Democrats lost because, as unpopular as Donald Trump is in many circles in America, he ran an excellent campaign and sounded eminently more reasonable and pro-America than Harris did.  “Not Trump” was not a feasible campaign strategy and the people saw through it.

Lenin said that occasionally, after two steps forward, one must take one step back.  Sometimes you shoot for the stars and hope you get the moon.  The Democrats, under Biden, shot for the stars, and probably did conquer the moon.  The country is further left now than it’s ever been.  Mr. Trump will bring it back to the right somewhat, but he probably won’t be able to undo all the damage Democrats did.  And the Democrats, ideological to the end, will regroup and try again. They’ll never give up.  Power and control are all they live for.  The fight is far from over.

What Now? There Are Things Trump Can Do Both Now And After The Inauguration

While Kamala Harris is asking for the number of the truck that hit her, Donald Trump should put that trash truck in gear. And don’t tell me he’s not inaugurated, so he doesn’t have any power. Not so fast! What would this not-so-humble pundit suggest that he do promptly?

First, even though he is not yet behind the Resolute Desk, he can start the ball rolling by demanding that all federal employees preserve all their emails and other records. That can be accompanied by a reminder that he’s only telling them to do what the Federal Records Act already requires. This includes all communications between federal employees and media companies of any description. Failure to do so will be regarded as obstruction of justice. The use of encrypted apps to communicate will also be regarded as obstruction.

Next, he should announce that because the Supreme Court rejected racial preferences in the Harvard case (“Eliminating racial discrimination means eliminating all of it.”) such preferences are not legal anywhere in the federal government. Any federal employees in DEI (Didn’t Earn It) jobs who wish to resign on January 20 will be paid through the end of the fiscal year. Of course, any other federal employees who wish to resign on January 20 will get the same deal. Ditto for LGBTQIA alphabet soup instructors.

By the way, we will use pronouns according to your sex at birth. And just in case you can’t define a woman, it’s a person with two X chromosomes and inside plumbing. A man has XY chromosomes and outside plumbing (h.t. Mom). Now that we’ve made a couple of things clear for those in Rio Linda, let’s finish that subject by noting that Title IX funds are for programs with biological women, not trans-whatevers. Girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms are for girls.

Continuing with education, any educational institution that continues with DEI programs will lose all eligibility for FISL or Pell Grant money. Research grants will go away as well. In the military, all officers who promoted or worked in DEI-type programs will be cashiered. The military must be staffed with warfighters, not wimps.

His next step should be to announce that any non-citizens who participated in protests that included property damage or personal injuries will have their visa/green card/etc. canceled. They know who they are and would be better off if they removed themselves from the country before January 20. If not, they can expect the same detention as the current J6 political prisoners. They have been admitted to our country as guests. Misbehavior makes them scofflaw schlemiels, who are just as welcome as a party guest who deliberately spills red wine on the hostess’ white dress.

Continuing in this vein, college-coddled aliens who participated in any protests whatever have made themselves into fetid foreigners. They are here because we graciously extended a privilege, and they are not entitled to any favors when they misbehave.

As you can tell, the list of possible announcements is long and distinguished. Please do not complain if I missed your favorite. We’ll have more time later.

Now, we can make things a bit more fun. Any illegal alien who turns himself in will go to the back of the deportation line. It may take a few days to ramp up the photo ID, fingerprinting, and so on at Post Offices, but the program should start as soon as it becomes possible. Because there are fewer than 34,000 post offices, perhaps some of those departing DEI lowlifes can be put to work managing the registration kiosks. Of course, if a bodega or three chose to volunteer for the job, they could be paid for every confirmed registration.

On the government side, we could shift some of those extraneous IRS employees Biden/Harris paid for into doing live verification of each record. That way, the kiosk can print out a laminated ID card for each registered alien. And by the way, the feds won’t be paying for you to stay here. That’s up to you to figure out. In the meantime, we’ll be detaining any illegals who commit crimes of any description. Misdemeanors get deported, while felonies will be a bit more entertaining. We should be able to find a closed, remote northern facility to house them and make them “productive.”

Next on the chopping block should be NGOs. Simply announce that every “Non-Governmental Organization” is not properly part of the government and will be cut off from the taxpayer’s wallet. I don’t care what good or evil they do. They don’t belong on the government bread line. Good ones will get plenty of money from private donations.

This list would not be complete without key shout-outs to Congress. Getting elected should not be a feather bed. People like Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell, and other federal fungi should not exist. But unlike the presidency, these positions do not have term limits. My home state of Florida is flourishing under term limits. We seem to get tax cuts and bigger surpluses every year, with hundreds of thousands of people U-Hauling their cats and squirrels south every year. The same medicine should be good for Congress.

Why should AOC be a multimillionaire after a handful of terms in Congress? She makes less than $200k per year and was broke when she arrived. Rinse and repeat for dozens of others. The answer is simple: term limits. But Congress won’t exercise its Article V option to propose a term limits Amendment because that would cut off its gravy train. So, it’s time to bypass the roadblock at Mordor on the Potomac.

Article V allows states to call a convention to propose amendments. VP-Elect Vance has already announced his support for one. Right now, the number of states calling for one seems to be nineteen, with thirty-four needed. If Donald Trump were to announce his support for such a convention, it’s likely we’d get enough in no time. So what would we ask them to do?

The two most obvious Amendments would be Term Limits and Balanced Budget. If that’s all we got, it would be a success. Suppose members of the House and Senate were limited to twelve years in either chamber. The fossils who run the show now would be long gone. Institutionalized corruption would be very much reduced. And members would actually have to convince their constituents that they were somewhat more useful than a rubber crutch. Ideally, we’d repeal the Seventeenth Amendment, returning the Senate to its original function as a body that directly represents state governments while the House directly represents the people.

Just to allay any fears about a runaway convention, consider this. No amendment proposed by the convention can become part of the Constitution until three-fourths of the states ratify it. So if a proposal comes to outlaw red-headed stepchildren, thirty-eight states have to say “Yes” before it becomes law. So that’s not happening.

I’m sure that there are lots of other good bits that might come out of a convention, but for today, let’s get our movement moving. There isn’t any need to wait for January 20.

We Failed Black Women…And Other Things I Just Don’t Care About

This week might have been better than when Donald Trump first won the presidency in 2016. Back then, I was in shock for the first three days, making the thorough embrace of schadenfreude difficult. Thank God for YouTube for giving me the ability to see what I missed, and completely relive the rest that I saw. This time, I’ve done my level best to make sure I don’t miss a thing.

My eyes are open and my DVR is full.

My misery is laced with what amounts to watching a dog try to use tools, as progressive after progressive tries desperately to figure out what went wrong; how they lost.

The simple answer is they ran a horrible and wildly unpopular candidate who picked a horrible and wildly unpopular running mate, they promised to implement horrible and wildly unpopular new policies while continuing horrible and wildly unpopular existing policies. The 2024 Democratic Party playbook seemed to be to make one mistake after another, piling them up on top of each other as they went along.

While it is impossible to know how things would have worked out had they done any of these steps differently, there really is nowhere to go but up. Had they not run a coup on Joe Biden, who knows if he could have pulled up from his dismal poll numbers. Had Joe decided not to run or had dropped out early enough to run some semblance of a primary the odds are fairly high they would have not picked Kamala Harris. The furious blowback over bypassing the sitting Vice President and a woman of color would have faded fairly quickly – Democrats are insane, but they do want to win and even they knew, deep down, that the more people saw of Kamala they less they liked her. That’s why they tried to hide her for 3 months.

Picking Tim Walz as a running mate was the first and greatest unforced error of the campaign. The one time Harris had a chance to show the world she would not be beholden to the radical left she crawled into bed with it. Passing on the popular Governor of Pennsylvania, taking that state off the table and sliding it into her column, simply because Josh Shapiro is Jewish and the activist left hates Jews was monumentally stupid. Walz is a clown who may look somewhat good on paper -  he served in the National Guard, a sitting Governor with a record the base likes, etc. – but it was tissue paper, unable to stand up to the most basic of scrutiny.

Nothing the campaign did worked, but they kept doing as if they were convinced they could fail their way to success, unpopular their way to prom queen. It was odd.

Now that they’ve suffered the humiliation of having raised more than a billion dollars and still ended up in debt, the Harris campaign may be the Sam Bankman-Fried on politics.

Now the recriminations have begun. But they are hollow. There is nothing they did more wrong than the very first thing they did. A house built on a faulty foundation will collapse, no matter how pretty it was in the blueprints.

All these “men let women down,” “married women betrayed their gender,” “Hispanic men don’t like black people or women,” “black men sold out” and “everyone let down black women” – as the New York Times put it in a supposed “news” article, “From the moment Kamala Harris entered the presidential race, Black women could see the mountaintop… Was America ready, they asked, to elect a Black woman?  The painful answer arrived this week” – make watching MSNBC absolutely worth it, even though I could not bring myself to truly care about it on a dare.

These people deserve every bad thing that comes their way and more. They turn on each other like they’re Highlanders – there can be only one.

Not one of these people get it because they aren’t looking for reasons, they’re looking for excuses. There’s a big difference. Unless and until that changes, nothing else will.

The American public does not like what Democrats are pushing. Kamala Harris was a horrible, fake candidate who made really bad choices while refusing to answer any specific questions. No one could take a piece of paper with “Kamala Harris was raised in a middle class family” (which she was not) to the grocery store and get 25 percent off; no one’s rent payment is reduced by that.

As I watch a panel on MSNBC this morning whining about who America let down black voters because Democrats lost, I have to laugh. The largest prostitute in politics today, former RNC Chair Michael Steele, actually read a script about how Donald Trump “under-performed” in the election because he got fewer votes from 2020, which any moron could look up and see is not true. They don’t care that they lie to their side, they take comfort in the knowledge that no one on their side will either know the truth or look it up for themselves.

Ultimately, that’s why they lost and will lose in the future if they don’t change – once Democrats lost control of Twitter to Elon Musk and he made it a true forum for free speech, the left no longer had a monopoly on communication and could not continue to contain the truth. And the truth is kryptonite to the left.

They can whine and complain all they want, but every MSNBC viewer with an ability to think now has the opportunity to avail themselves of it. Democrats will do all they can to coral them back to the barn, but for the first time in a long time a not-insignificant segment of the “woke” were actually awake. As long as Republicans deliver, there’s little reason to think they’ll be going back to sleep, no matter how hard Democrats insist voters have let anyone down because we didn’t let ourselves down.

Photographer Takes Breathtaking Shots of Giant Wave ‘Jaws’ on Maui’s North Shore—And It’s Unreal

The photographer lugs his waterproof suitcase full of equipment aboard the open-canopy boat and, wearing his wetsuit, sets off to get drenched with the captain and voyagers in the swollen, Disney-blue waters off Maui, all in search of the infamous wave aptly dubbed: Jaws.

ALL ADDITIONAL PHOTOS IN COMMENTARY - COULD NOT COPY PASTE!
The jaunt out to meet the surf where Jaws lurks is far from relaxing. Andrew Shoemaker, 42, was anxious his very first time out, as the prospect of 40- to 70-foot waves sounded “super dangerous,” he told The Epoch Times. But Mr. Shoemaker—a former photo gallery owner from Lahaina, the entirety of which burnt to the ground one year ago—is way more seasoned today and just focuses his eyes on the prize of capturing that perfect curling, 7-story wave in crisp clarity.

Jaws is the biggest wave here in Hawaii. “The Hawaiian name is Piahi,” he said. “You can actually photograph it from a cliff, but we actually go out on a boat, and we’re right next to the wave with all the surfers around and jet skiers.”

Boating in is more dangerous, but “it’s worth it,” he said. “The bad thing is, it seems like almost every time we go someone gets seasick because it’s really choppy out there.”

Mr. Shoemaker has built a friendship with the captain, Loren, who once saw his voyagers to safety by steering the boat’s nose directly into a wave that would have overturned the vessel had it struck its flanks. Today, Loren was the catalyst for a panoramic shot of Jaws breaking to form a perfect curl that looked like a pair of, well, jaws. The maw seems about to swallow up the distant cliffs of Maui’s famous north shore.

It’s a trick of perspective, obviously. The islands appear miniature—bite-sized if you will—as if about to be consumed. But the simile echoes the real relationship between these lonely volcanic islands smack in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and the Godzilla-sized waves that pummel them mercilessly and have for millions of years.

Winter storms south of Alaska set that ocean into motion, which builds unchecked to cross the open sea before ambushing Hawaii point blank. The group of islands known as Hawaii are giant mountains sticking up from the ocean floor, a rather stark wall where the sudden shallows force impending swells to break into surfs. Hawaii’s north shore sees the brunt of that hydro action—and became famous when surfers in the 1980s realized they could jet ski out and ride through tunnels of water.

One of the most famous to do so was Kai Lenny. “That guy is just on a different level,” Mr. Shoemaker said, adding that he photographed the surfer catching a ride down Jaws “like he’s surfing down Niagara Falls or something. It’s nuts.”

Any average surfer is “just trying to survive” on that big blue monster, but not Kai Lenny, the photographer said. “Watching him surf is like watching art.”

On that particular junket, one of Mr. Shoemaker’s all-time favorite photos was born: “Super Kai.”One reason he prefers to include surfers in his shots is that it puts the sheer scale into proper perspective, without which it’s often misleading. “That wave is 70 feet,” he said. “You can’t quite envision that that wave is 70 feet, right? Unless there’s a little surfer in the photo.” His photograph “Wave Rider” drives home the point.

“When you get a surfer in there, that’s when you really get this sense of scale on just how giant that wave is,” he said, mentioning also that this is why he captured “Adrenaline Rush.

But the beauty of water alone also comes to the fore in his photos. The “weird thing” about waves and water is that they may be violent, but something about them and their look calms him down. That iconic wave curl is epitomized in his photo “Blue Crush,” also one of his best sellers. “Firebird” showcases a blazing wave at sunrise lit up with amazing colors: flaming ochres, pinks, and turquoises. The thing about waves in Hawaii, he said, is they are gorgeous all times of day, in any light.

The calming effect of water contrasts the initial “pretty sketchy” boat ride out with Loren to hunt for photos of Jaws, which, the photographer added, are best captured during Hawaii’s warm winters, when northerly storms drive those ginormous waves to crash upon the most remote group of islands in the world. Once several thousand shots are safely stowed in his memory card, though, he packs his camera back into its waterproof case, and they can just relax and grab a beer while heading back to harbor.

He said, “The ride back is when you’re kind of reflecting on how awesome the day was.”

Report: Trump Seeking to Use Military Assets to Enact His Illegals Mass Deportation Plan

Rusty Weiss reporting for RedState

Advisers to President-elect Donald Trump are formulating plans to execute his promise of mass deportations once he assumes office, potentially involving a national emergency declaration to repurpose assets from the Pentagon to detain and deport illegal immigrants.

The idea of using a national emergency has been floated in the past, and implementing such a declaration, according to a Wall Street Journal report, would "repurpose military assets," allowing the new administration "to detain and remove migrants."

Trump has, for months on the campaign trail, vowed to invoke the Alien Enemies Act if elected, a wartime law that would allow the president to authorize the arrest and deportation of illegal immigrants over the age of 14.

And he has been unwavering in his promise to restart border wall construction, which was halted by the Biden administration, while launching a mass deportation program once he returns to the White House.

The Journal writes:

"As a first step, Trump’s advisers are discussing issuing a national emergency declaration at the border on his first day in office, which his team thinks would allow him to move money from the Pentagon to pay for wall construction and to assist with immigrant detention and deportation."

They state that the behind-the-scenes discussions are already underway.

These same advisers note that the declaration would also "unlock the ability to use military bases for immigrant detention and military planes to help carry out deportations."

There is a 100 percent chance that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) will define military bases used for detaining illegal aliens as 'concentration camps,' which somehow disappeared under President Joe Biden, but are sure to make a big comeback with Democrats raging over their imported voter base being sent back from whence they came.

On the plus side, AOC will have a couple of months to work on her sad panda photo-op face.

The discussions indicate advisers are very early in the planning stage and all ideas are in flux. But the WSJ report seems to point to a very serious operation being formulated. And it will be implemented very quickly after Inauguration Day.

The administration will first focus its efforts on illegal aliens who have already received final deportation orders from an immigration court. A reasonable move that should be fairly easy to kickstart, removing 1.3 million illegals from the country.

President-elect Trump has relentlessly insisted on not only stopping the flow of illegal immigration across both the southern and northern borders, but reversing it.

In an interview this past March, Trump vowed to begin mass deportations on “day one.”

“We have no choice,” he said. “And we’ll start with the bad ones.”

“They [illegal aliens] ... come from prisons and mental institutions,” he said during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). “They’re killing our people. They’re killing our country. We have no choice!”

The WSJ report notes that there are questions as to how President-elect Trump will implement his plans, even questioning the "legality" of these moves.

The Alien Enemies Act, part of the Alien and Sedition Acts of 1798, will be used, Trump has previously said, to end “the scourge of illegal alien gang violence once and for all.”

The Act is not without its controversies.

President Franklin Delano Roosevelt used the authority granted in the Act to incarcerate Japanese Americans during World War II.

The law states that a president may order non-citizens “to be apprehended, restrained, secured, and removed as alien enemies” when he or she is deemed as coming from a “hostile nation.”

Democrats will no doubt attempt to fight back against using the Act, and any declaration of a national emergency, though with Trump having likely control of both Houses of Congress, it would remain to be seen if they can stop him.

RedState's Margaret Clark reports that the deportation plans are already receiving pushback in the form of massive protests in New York.

Clark revealed that the thousands marching in the streets are protesting against mass deportation and "systematic oppression," with many carrying signs accusing Trump of being racist, fascist, sexist, anti-gay, and anti-trans.To see videos of the chaos on the streets of Manhattan, please check out her report (which is linked above).

The “Six Ways from Sunday” Problem

All information provided to the Office of the President comes from the “six ways from Sunday” group.

The Presidential Daily Briefing is constructed by the “six ways from Sunday” group.

The DNI position is legislatively the most powerful position in the IC, yet that authority has never been exploited thanks to a DC silo system in the control of the “six ways from Sunday” group.

Barack Obama quickly learned the risks within the “six ways from Sunday” silo process.  Obama subverted the “six ways from Sunday” control mechanisms brilliantly, he just ignored it and gave the info to everybody.

President Trump is vulnerable to a DC silo system that self-preserves and that almost no one understands.

The President of the United States looks out his window and sees and illusionary world created by the “six ways from Sunday” group.

The agenda of the “six ways from Sunday” group can only succeed if the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branch are kept misinformed and isolated.

President Trump does not get accurate information and is kept isolated by the “six ways from Sunday” group.

In term-1, President Trump was victimized, controlled and targeted by the “six ways from Sunday” group.

Foreign governments understand the process of presidential isolation; the people within the United States do not.  Deep down, adversarial leaders of foreign governments feel pity toward the U.S. office of the President; they take advantage accordingly.

Currently, the entire mechanism of the DC system under the control of the “six ways from Sunday” group, are organizing the Presidential isolation filters again.

We are watching it unfold.

There are no current indications that President-elect Trump, nor his immediate circle of close advisors or influence agents, are aware of the scale of the problem.  They believe the system of government is good but simply operated by bad people.  This is not the case.

No chairman, committee member or staff on the HPSCI or SSCI, or any member within the Gang of Eight, has any method to obtain raw, truthful information, without going through the approval process under the control of the “Six ways from Sunday” group.

We the People need a radical paradigm shift of thinking, quickly, if we are to support President Donald J Trump.

There are two very key positions to watch in the next few weeks: the National Security Advisor and the Director of National Intelligence.  Both positions were under the control of the “six ways from Sunday” group during President Trump first term.

The mechanics of the same control operation are currently visible.

More soon…
