Both Candidates Promise to Undo the Biden-Harris Administration

Oddly enough, there’s really only one thing both Kamala Harris and Donald Trump agree on: Joe Biden has been a disaster as President of the United States. Both Harris and Trump promise to undo much of what Biden has done, which is a good thing. But it’s a little bit weird that one of those candidates helped implement those policies in the first place. It’s going to be interesting to see how Kamala distances herself from, well, herself and Joe Biden.

What should they undo? Well, all of it, honestly. Joe Biden’s 4 years in the White House should be wiped clean from the history books. We’ll never get back the money the Biden/Harris administration cost us these years, but we can make sure we rip out the causes of that pain by the root.

Of course, what Kamala Harris is promising to do is much worse. Price controls have been the foundation of some of the worst ideas that human being have ever come up with, and the concepts that accompany those ideas led directly to the deaths of more than 100 million people in the last century, so it’s not a good road to travel down.

That being said, if Harris or Trump are looking for some specific ideas to repudiate or completely repeal in the next 4 years, allow me to make a few suggestions.

A good place to start would be to close the border until a wall – a good wall, a double wall, can be built and patrolled like the border of Poland. Poland has no interest in allowing illegal aliens, er, asylum-seekers into their country. And who can blame them?

While Poland isn’t “celebrating the diversity” that is overrunning the rest of Europe, they’re also not dealing with the spikes in immigrant crime or grooming gangs that have swept the rest of the continent either. Fewer murders and assaults in exchange for people being able to communicate with one another and a scornful look from leftists in Brussels and beyond is a fair trade.

Until the border is sealed, no one should be allowed in. Once it is sealed, the standards for who is allowed in have to be set high, and enforced. There’s nothing wrong with asking “What do we get out of letting you in?” There’s everything right with sending anyone who can’t answer that question in a way that demonstrates it will not only be something we need, but something we want, too.

Then fine the hell out of any company that hires illegal, something like $50,000 per illegal. Making hiring them painful, while cutting off welfare benefits and only subsidizing plane tickets home will be a subtle way to send a message that the United States has a border again, and it means something.

Stop sending blank checks to Ukraine. Hunter Biden will no longer be around to take his cut, so maybe Democrats will have less interest in this grift. Then again, a lot of them have degenerate kids who are unemployable in any other way than their last names, so who knows?

No matter what, we need to attach some strings to any aid headed that way in the future, like a basic accounting of where all the previous money went. If they can’t or won’t do that, they should get nothing. If they do, then the United States should lead talks to end the war with Russia. Ukraine won’t like it, but at least it will still exist after. They don’t have to, if they aren’t interested in accounting for what they did with our money…

Repeal mandates and cancel all unspent waste. The government is readying to set a huge pile of money on fire for rural broadband internet and electric vehicle charging stations. Cancel it. If Biden can cancel student loans, the next president can cancel wasteful spending that hasn’t happened yet. Democrats love abortion so much, they can think of this as a late-term abortion of billions in unnecessary spending.

Another policy that needs to be flushed down history’s toilet is the 95 percent tax the government can now impose on drug companies that won’t comply with a president’s demands. The presidency was never meant to be the Godfather, telling pharmaceutical companies that either their brains or their signature will be on the “negotiated” price agreements the feds put in front of them, but that’s what Joe Biden turned it into. It was insane at the time, it’s still insane now and needs to end.

Hell, while they’re at it, repeal the entire Inflation Reduction Act. A lot of the damage from this monstrosity has already been done, but some of it can be stopped by repealing that mess and cutting off the creation of the money to pay for it before it’s too late. Biden created inflation, and much of it with this beast, ending it would go a long way to undoing much of the mess he caused.

And so does Joe’s rewriting of Title IX to mandate the indulgence of gender dysphoria by public schools and girls’ sports. While it would be best for the states to simply reject all federal money – attached strings don’t matter if you don’t take what they’re attached to – Title IX needs to be changed back to be about women and girls. Democrats can’t tell you what a woman is, but none of them have ever accidentally dated a man pretending to be one. Let them remain confused in public and a gynecologist in their personal lives, while normalcy is allowed to be reinstated for everyone else.

That’s the real goal: restoring some normalcy. In all of these suggestions, returning to normal after the attempted bastardization of that concept by Democrats, is exactly what the doctor ordered. OK, maybe not a doctor a Democrat would see, but a real one who isn’t interested in mutilating children or relying on government to “negotiate” anything on their behalf.

Promising a return to normal would go a long way toward winning in November, and Democrats are anything but normal.

Reagan Didn’t Defeat the Commies for Us to Hand Our Country Over to Them Now

When the Berlin Wall fell in 1989 and the Soviet Union formally collapsed in 1991, these world-shaping events were not the consequence of luck or some inevitable outcome. It was the result of strong, principled leadership from free world heroes — President Ronald Reagan along with Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher and Pope John Paul II — who orchestrated the demise of the USSR, set the global push for communism back generations, and brought liberalized democracy to millions. It wasn’t an easy feat, either. Bullets and bombs nearly took out these three leaders before their strategy to trounce communism could be developed and deployed.

Here’s the deal: Reagan didn’t defeat Soviet communists and their fatally flawed policies just so Americans could willingly hand the country over to them some 40 years later. Yet that’s exactly what Kamala Harris is asking Americans to do with their votes this November.

The story of Reagan’s triumph over communists and against the then-conventional political wisdom — and even concerns of his own advisors — is masterfully laid out in the movie “Reagan,” starring Dennis Quaid as the “great communicator,” coming to theaters at the end of August.

“Reagan” had its worldwide premiere Tuesday night in Hollywood, and the film tracing Reagan’s life and leadership brd on books by historian Paul Kengor shows exactly what it took for our 40th president to bring freedom to Western Europe and prove the murderous Soviet experiment a failure.

Emphasizing his formative childhood years in Dixon, Illinois, — where a screening of the movie (hosted by this writer’s employer, Young America’s Foundation) is set to bring the community together to remember its favorite son this Thursday night — his time in Hollywood heading the Screen Actors Guild, faith in God and a greater purpose for his life, and lasting love with “Nancy Pants,” the movie traces the events that made it possible for Reagan to achieve what even the Soviets doubted could happen.

Decades since the fall of the Soviet Union that made the United States the world’s lone superpower and allowed the torch of freedom to illuminate the lives of millions formerly subjugated under deadly and disastrous communist policies, a growing chorus of voices are hoping that hyping up Kamala Harris and her supposedly contagious “joy” will trick Americans into allowing collectivist, statist, and communist policies to become the law of the land.

Ironically, “not going back” has become a refrain used by Vice President Kamala Harris in her canned campaign speeches since Democrats installed her — without winning a single presidential primary in her career — as their nominee. Yet, “going back” to the era of lurking communism threatening not just Europe but the United States is exactly what Harris has now proposed, if elected.

President Reagan rightly called the Soviet Union an “evil empire,” yet the vile policies that crushed the human spirit and were allowed to spread like wildfire as the result of an America weakened by the failed policies of Jimmy Carter are now undergoing an attempted rehabilitation at the hands of Kamala Harris.

As Democrats furiously try spinning the fact that Kamala Harris’ lack of a clear policy agenda totally normal (don’t worry, one recently claimed, the media will explain why whatever she’ll do is a good thing the American people) the scant details Americans have so far received to judge her on are devastatingly bad.

Namely, the Harris campaign’s rollout of proposed “price controls” as one economic policy. If that’s her starting point, one can only imagine — because she’s intentionally keeping Americans in the dark about her agenda as this column explained last week — what all will follow. “Hope” and “joy” are, whatever those at the Democrats’ convention say, not a policy. Price fixing, however, is. And a bad one, tried and failed before, at that.

The Washington Post, even, ran a column noting that it was political and messaging idiocy to pledge the introduction of price controls in America, confirming former President Donald Trump’s attacks lobbed at “Kamala the communist” are right over the target.

Why, if she doesn’t intend to usher in anti-freedom, failed-before policies reminiscent of the communist ideology belonging to the ash heap of history, would Kamala Harris and her ilk threaten to implement the very policies exploited by Reagan and his crew of freedom fighters to topple the Soviet Union? What’s more, she picked Minnesota’s communist governor Tim Walz — who encouraged his state’s residents to tattle on their neighbors to the government during COVID lockdowns — as her running mate. Their goals are clear.

Harris made her ideology plainly apparent when she mounted her failed presidential campaign in 2019. Radically to the left of anything the supposedly “normal” Democrats were suggesting at the time, Harris was looking to drag a laundry list of at-best communist “lite” policies out of the trash.

Now, by rolling out price controls as her initial economic policy for her 2024 run, she’s confirmed that nothing has changed, she’s still if not even more radical, and America’s freedom, prosperity, and strength used by Reagan to triumph over communism isn’t safe.

It was the 40th president, after all, who warned us that “freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction” and must be “fought for, protected, and handed on.” Some 40 years after Reagan fought for, protected, and handed a legacy of freedom to future Americans, now is not the time to willingly cast it aside and instead let America fall to communist ideals.

The Democrats Truly Hate Us Normal People

My bingo card didn’t have the Democrat Governor of Kentucky going to the Democrat National Convention and suggesting that somebody rape someone in JD Vance’s family, but you know, maybe it should have. Here’s an ugly reality that we have to accept. The elite of the Democrat Party hates us. It doesn’t just dislike us. It doesn’t find us merely annoying and tiresome. It certainly doesn’t want to live and let live. It wants to rule and let us die. There is not a single bad thing that they wouldn’t wish upon you. We know because they keep telling us.

That sure sounds harsh. So does suggesting that a member of your political opponent’s family ought to be raped to make some dumb point. These comments are not just mistakes or slips of the tongue. There are too many threats, too many death wishes, and if they are mistakes, why do they always go in the same direction? Why are they always greeted with wild applause?

It’s tough to accept, but we need to listen to Democrats. We need to believe them when they tell us they want us gone. And understand that this isn’t just random. It’s not a few nuts talking trash. It’s the elite. This is policy. This starts at the top, or what was the top until Nancy Pelosi deposed the top. Demented old pervert Joe Daddyshowers has been, right up to his valedictory shoutfest, saying one thing and one thing only: that we normal patriotic conservative Americans are evil racist monsters who must be disenfranchised and even killed.

I know a lot of people don’t want to accept it, but it’s true. You can’t just laugh it off as colorful rhetoric. It’s not. It’s what they believe. And you should believe them. You should take people at their word when they tell you they want you dead or enslaved. Look at what Joe Biden said in that weird fascist speech a couple of years ago. He basically said that the other half of America is America’s enemy. So, what do you do to such enemies? What do you do to existential threats? Well, you don’t treat them with respect, and you certainly don’t let them have power no matter what. You do whatever you want. If that means locking up your political opponents, stifling free speech, and cheating in elections, fine. Those normal patriotic American citizens are really bad, so whatever the left does is OK.

And they want to do it. Desperately. Biden continually goes on about sending F-16s to bomb American citizens for the crime of owning AR-15s. You can tell it excites him – every time he starts going off on that tangent, Dr. Biden has to check him after four hours in case she needs to bring him to a real doctor.

If you’re watching the Democrat National Convention, and I’m trying desperately not to, you are seeing a lot of this stuff. Now, to be fair, it’s not all about raping the families of political opponents. Sometimes it’s about sympathizing with people who literally want to murder every single Jew on Earth – in his 3 AM speech, our alleged president pretty much assured us that Hamas lovers are very fine people.

Their current candidate for vice president is a literal Maoist; he got married on the anniversary of Tiananmen Square. The guy has visited China more times than the Delaware Dementite has visited the White House. Walz thinks the communists are great. Everybody gets free rice! How could you not like that? Don’t pay attention to the millions of corpses though. This is a guy who is subcontracted by America’s enemies. He’s also a stolen valor, blue falcon scumbag. But you know, that’s not even the weirdest thing about this guy. This is a guy who lied about using IVF with his wife. He actually used not in vitro fertilization but the old-fashioned the turkey baster approach, presumably because he was unable to perform as a man.

But you know he would happily put you in a camp if he thought he could get away with it. He let scumbags, criminals, and degenerates rampage in Minneapolis, and the reason is simple. He’s allied with them, just like the Hamas fans inside the Democrat National Convention are allied with the Hamas fans outside the Democrat National Convention. The people who don’t agree with them didn’t show up. Where was Josh Shapiro? Well, I think we know he’s not welcome and why. John Fetterman wouldn’t show up either. When Senatorial Shrek is the voice of moderation and wisdom in your party, your party has a problem.

Actually, America has a problem. It seems that it should not be necessary to say it, but it is. We can’t have a functioning country when the ruling elite of one of our two parties literally wishes rape and murder upon the members of the opposing faction. This is not conducive to a functional and free society – and I was told, by them constantly, that Our Democracy is at stake. Democracy relies on the ability to have reasoned and rational arguments and discussions. You can’t have that when the other side wants to kill you – or, to be fair, sometimes only rape you. You also can’t have it when the regime media wholeheartedly supports one party and refuses to actually cover the race because the leader of its chosen party is a babbling, incoherent communist idiot. Everybody seems angry that Harris won’t talk to the media, everyone except the regime media that she is ignoring. But if she doesn’t even speak to the media and she won’t articulate her positions, do we really have a democracy? Vibes, joy and brat are not enough. Democracy implies that you know what the candidate you are voting for stands for.

The problem is the Democrats don’t care. They’re not thinking about America down the road. They’re not thinking about the damage this is doing to our country. They are thinking about what gets them short-term power.

I wish they would turn this around. I wish they wouldn’t do this. But I don’t think they can stop. I don’t think they have any other choice. Are they going to make some rational argument for price controls and giving away free money that will inflate the housing market? For taking all the gains from your savings, if you were a sucker and actually saved? No, there’s no argument for that. Socialism is a failure, and it always will be. That’s why they can’t afford to actually have discussions. That’s why they can’t afford to allow their opponents to have any kind of standing to participate in politics. They can’t have a debate on issues, so instead, all we get is the feelz of erotically unsatisfied wine women.

Everything they do is focused on getting them power and has the side effect of ruining our country. I’m not sure what else they can do but just triple down on this insanity. But you know what? A United States where the only currency is power is not going to end well - for them. Putting aside Joe Biden‘s F-15 fantasies about bombing other Americans – Does anyone want to guess what is the most vulnerable part of a fighter plane? – armed citizens will always get a vote, and not the kind that mysteriously appears after midnight behind closed doors on election night. After all, as Tim Walz’s hero, Chairman Mao, memorably said, “Power grows from the barrel of a gun.” After having rape and murder wished upon us by the Democrats, those of us who are paying attention are buying guns and ammunition.

Who Is ‘Destroying Democracy in Darkness?’

Have those who lectured us about democracy in danger now decided to save it by destroying it?

The 2023-2024 campaign season is not just the strangest on record, it’s also arguably the most anti-democratic.

Ostensibly, the Democratic Party has claimed over the last decade that Donald Trump posed a continued and existential threat to the republic.

That allegation subsequently justified a variety of anti-democratic means to neuter his first two presidential candidacies, his presidency, and now his third and final run for the White House.

A near decade ago, we witnessed the 2015-2016 Hillary Clinton/Democratic National Committee/FBI-assisted effort to plant the false accusation of Trump-Russian collusion to warp the 2016 election.

That gambit centered around the fraudulent Steele dossier and nearly fatally crippled the Trump 2016 campaign. That hoax would later sidetrack 22 months of his presidency before being proven a fantasy.

On the eve of the 2020 election, the left next birthed the Russian laptop disinformation campaign.

That hoax also warped a presidential debate with false charges that Hunter Biden’s own incriminating laptop was once again the work of Russians seeking to conspire with Trump.

Those unusual efforts continued during the Biden administration.

For the first time in election history, the allies of one campaign sought to persuade some 16 states to try to remove a major party’s likely nominee from their primary and general election ballots.

The plan was to smother a Trump third presidential bid in its infancy, and thus once again not allow the people to accept or reject his candidacy.

Nearly simultaneously, four federal, state, and local prosecutors filed dozens of felony charges against Trump.

They all shared some strange similarities.

These indictments would likely not have been filed, had Trump not run for office. Nor would any of them have proceeded had Trump not been a controversial conservative Republican seeking reelection.

Almost all the charges had not been filed against any other prior candidate and rarely a private citizen.

Some of them could just as easily have been lodged against Joe Biden and his son.

Some indictments and convictions may still achieve their objectives of bankrupting, jailing, or keeping Trump inert during the final weeks of the campaign.

One of the Georgia prosecutors had undisclosed meetings with the Biden White House counsel.

President Biden himself, on the eve of the federal prosecutor Jack Smith’s indictment, all but declared his campaign rival Trump guilty.

Biden’s own chief of the White House had also met privately and secretly with Smith.

In an unprecedented fashion, Smith rushed his prosecution to ensure it synchronized with the 2024 campaign.

Similar federal charges could just as easily have led to the indictment of President Joe Biden—if the special counsel in that case had not claimed that he could not convince a jury to convict a culpable but cognitively challenged Biden.

Another Biden prosecutor mysteriously left his top position at the Justice Department to join the Alvin Bragg Manhattan prosecutorial staff.

Nonetheless, Trump had survived collusion, disinformation, de-balloting, lawfare, and a subsequent assassination attempt to surge far ahead of Biden in the June presidential polls.

Biden’s poll collapse prompted Democratic donors and high-ranking politicos to force a stress-test presidential debate before either candidate was even nominated at their respective conventions.

When Biden imploded in the debate, a supposedly once-fit president was suddenly declared impaired. And a previously uninspiring Vice President Kamala Harris was abruptly transmogrified into a superb replacement candidate.

Biden was forced to resign his candidacy to save his last five months in office from a Democrat threatened removal via the 25th Amendment.

The primary votes of nearly 15 million voters were abruptly nullified.

Harris who had neither won a primary nor a single delegate through an election was suddenly coronated as the new Biden-replacement candidate—and without an open convention contest or vote.

The donor-politico class further decided that, like a challenged Biden in 2024, Harris could not be allowed to hold press conferences. She would do few if any live interviews, unscripted town halls or any other venue given fears her visible liabilities might endanger her candidacy.

So, the Party that had proclaimed democracy dies in darkness now favors the shadows as the preferable means to obtain and retain power—whether by ignoring primary voters, open conventions, or transparent venues with the voters.

Add up the last decade’s purchased collusion caper, unprecedented two impeachments, orchestrated disinformation hoax, efforts to de-ballot Trump, warping of the legal system to jail him and destroy his candidacy, forced removal of an unpopular but unwilling President Biden from the Democrat ticket, virtual anointing of Harris by fiat in his place, and the current collusion with a compliant media to avoid public scrutiny and cross-examination of Harris.

And the conclusion?

Have those who lectured us about democracy in danger now decided to save it by destroying it?

Biden’s DOJ Seeks Revenge On IRS Whistleblowers For Exposing Hunter’s Crimes

A weaponized government under Biden-Harris’ command will punish anyone and everyone who dares to challenge it.

A recent legal filing from IRS whistleblowers suggests Hunter Biden and his father’s Department of Justice are seeking revenge on the courageous agents who helped force the Biden family’s misconduct into the public eye and turn the First Family and the feds against each other in the courts.

The filing comes in a case Hunter Biden brought against the IRS, effectively targeting its whistleblower agents, Gary Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, who came forward last summer to expose how federal law enforcement tanked the investigation and prosecution of Hunter Biden and others associated with the Biden family’s international influence-peddling operation.

Knowing the DOJ’s faux pursuit of the president’s son was about to be exposed, the Justice Department rushed to cook up a sweetheart plea deal with Hunter. It was a transparent bid to protect him from serious legal peril with any sort of connection to his father — insulating the president while allowing the DOJ to save face by acting like it was doing something about Hunter’s obvious lawbreaking.

When the sham plea deal fell apart under Delaware Judge Maryellen Noreika’s questioning, she forced the Justice Department’s hand. To fix a disastrous situation, Attorney General Merrick Garland elevated U.S. Attorney David Weiss, the lead prosecutor on the spiked Hunter Biden “case,” to special counsel. After years of shielding the Bidens and running out statutes of limitation on serious crimes, his team brought Hunter on gun charges in Delaware and tax evasion charges in the pending California case — charges still at a remove from the Biden family business.

The IRS agents, Shapley and Ziegler, claim they faced reprisals for coming forward through the appropriate channels with disclosures to Congress and thus the American people. The IRS allegedly pulled both Shapley and Ziegler off the case after Biden’s legal team lobbied the DOJ to pursue them.

Hunter Biden’s lawyers have not only maligned the duo in court filings but, in bringing suit against the IRS last fall, charged that the whistleblowers and their attorneys made unlawful disclosures of Hunter’s confidential tax information.

Since Hunter is suing the U.S. government rather than its employees, the case perversely puts the IRS and the DOJ, as the government’s lawyers, in the position of defending the very agents who exposed those agencies’ alleged malfeasance. Despite this glaring conflict, the U.S. government disputes that Shapley and Ziegler wrongfully disclosed Hunter Biden’s tax records — consistent with the factual record — illustrating how frivolous Hunter’s suit is.

But the feds have refused to defend the whistleblowers adequately. They confine their admission that the IRS agents are innocent to a mere footnote in a filing supporting their partial motion to dismiss the case. The feds have called on the court to dismiss the wrongful disclosure count only “to the extent” that Hunter Biden’s team brings its claim “based on the alleged wrongful disclosures by the IRS employees’ personal attorneys.” (Emphasis mine.)

The feds have vowed to “answer … remaining allegations … and … raise all available defenses” — of the whistleblowers — only after the court rules on the partial dismissal. In other words, the U.S. government is leaving IRS agents who blew the whistle on the government’s alleged malfeasance twisting in the wind.

Because of the obvious conflict, and the government’s absurdly passive posture, agents Shapley and Ziegler understandably motioned to intervene in the case to defend themselves back in May. Yet Hunter Biden’s legal team and the feds opposed that intervention. The government argued that only it “has the right to decide its litigation strategy, which includes the right to decide what arguments to make and when to make them,” and claimed Shapley and Ziegler lacked standing.

On Aug. 7, Shapley and Ziegler jointly filed a motion blowing the lid off this chilling effort to punish them, in response to both Biden’s and the government’s opposition to their intervention. In the filing, the agents assert:

[T]he IRS opposes intervention in a case where Shapley and Ziegler seek at the outset to secure an appropriate and complete dismissal of this lawsuit against the IRS. But instead of taking the position any litigant on the defense side of a civil lawsuit would take, the IRS opposes dismissal and purportedly wants ‘to wait for a fully developed factual record to present its defenses.’ In other words, the IRS wants the parties to engage in written discovery and depositions, even if unnecessary to resolve this case in its favor … oddly inviting needless discovery that defendants would normally seek to avoid.

The agents also highlight the Kafkaesque situation they find themselves in, in which the “very parties against whom the[y] … blew the whistle (Hunter Biden, the IRS, and the Department of Justice’s Tax Division) are collectively asking this Court to prevent them from defending the clear legality of their actions by intervening as parties in this litigation.”

The whistleblowers have made clear in court that they could face any number of personal and professional harms should the government not vigorously and successfully defend them — a compelling argument that they have standing to intervene in the case.

Shapley and Ziegler conclude in their Aug. 7 filing that “unless the IRS’s ‘litigation strategy’ is not to prevail in this case, it begs the question of why the IRS opposes enabling the two people whose conduct is at issue to have a seat at the table.”

The answer would seem to be that a hyper-politicized and weaponized government under Biden-Harris’ command will punish anyone and everyone who dares to challenge it.

Will Harris Defend Her Turkey of a Plan for Price Controls, After Democrats Ignore the Economy at Chicago?

Or is she going to flip-flop again Thursday night and say — ‘I really didn’t mean it,’ like her fracking ban and other inconvenient policies?

Why aren’t any Democrats defending Vice President Harris’s absurd price control package?

On day two at the Democratic National Convention at Chicago, President Obama and Michelle Obama disgraced themselves.

Once upon a time at the DNC in 2016, Mrs. Obama said: “when they go low, we go high.”

Well, last night, they both went low, and then lower still.

All they did was trash President Trump. And it was awful. Unseemly, especially for Mr. Obama.

Totally obsessed with Trump. He’s inside their heads.

No wonder the DNC ratings crashed 22 percent from 2016. The whole setup is a big nothing-burger.

And then, of course, Mrs. Obama couldn’t help but play the race card, as usual.

“For years,” she said, “Donald Trump did everything in his power to try to make people fear us. See, his limited, narrow view of the world made him feel threatened by the existence of two hard-working, highly-educated, successful people who happen to be black. Who’s gonna tell him that the job he’s currently seeking might just be one of those ‘black jobs’?”

There’s not one whit of policy, though, certainly nothing on the economy, which is the biggest issue thus far in this election cycle.

Indeed, for the first two nights, I don’t think any of the speakers referenced the economy.

Except President Biden — whom nobody saw, because the Democratic bosses pushed him deep into the night, the same way they took him off the ticket. Like a Godfather-style hit job.

Other than that, nobody talked about the economy or the border.

I keep waiting for the Democratic bigwigs to defend Ms. Harris’ $2 trillion spending package and her misguided price controls on food and groceries.

I mean… This was her big economic speech last Friday, which was uniformly eviscerated by liberals and conservatives, including the left-wing Washington Post — because no one seems to want to bring back Nixonomics.

People can talk about Soviet-style controls, or Venezuela-style controls, but we had our experiment right here at home with President Nixon in the early 1970’s, and it was a disaster.

Controls led to shortages, then the price caps were finally blown off, and inflation soared 15 percent.

Remember President Carter’s gas lines in the late 1970’s?

When President Reagan decontrolled gas, oil plunged to around $10 a barrel.

I digress, though. Back to Ms. Harris’s economic policy debut.

Suddenly, no one is talking about it. Odd, don’t you think?

Plus, it was about a $2 trillion spending package with numerous programs paying people not to work, completely goofy national rent controls, and housing subsidies that will — wait for it — actually make housing prices even higher and more unaffordable.

Why didn’t the Obamas defend Ms. Harris’s economic plan? Why didn’t anybody after two days of the convention?

Or is she going to flip-flop again Thursday night in her speech and say — “I really didn’t mean it. I said it when I was much younger, six days ago, but now I’ve changed my mind.”

Kind of like the fracking ban, decriminalizing illegal immigration, giving illegals free healthcare, abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement, defunding the police, and government takeover of health care.

She didn’t really mean it right? Flip-flop, flip-flop.

And let’s not forget raising the corporate tax, which will make America uncompetitive and destroy the wages and take-home pay of working folks.

Or the wealth tax on unrealized capital gains. Or the tax hike on stock buybacks. Or the higher tax rate on small businesses.

All that was in the Biden-Harris budget that came out five months ago, when Ms. Harris was much younger, and maybe she didn’t mean it.

You know what, though?

She personally hasn’t denied any of it. And she is stuck with that price control turkey of a speech last Friday.

And you know what else?

If she ever wins and jacks up all those taxes, spends all that extra money, and keeps the price controls, she will destroy the economy.

From Mr. Kudlow’s broadcast on Fox Business Network.
