Democrats Are Getting Desperate

Pathetic. Just pathetic.

I realize that in today’s political environment, that word could easily refer to damn near everything. And, honestly, it should. The people, places and things in politics are just the worst; truly the worst.

It’s almost impossible to differentiate which is worse, they’re all just, well, pathetic.

While I could cast aspersions across the entire political spectrum – lord knows there’s enough stupid, exploitative, opportunistic grifters on our side in elected office, on televisions and behind microphones – but no one appreciates the ugly truth reflected in a mirror, they’d much rather hear how age as impacted everyone else’s looks, not theirs.

Maybe another time.

Right now, I want to talk about this ridiculousness about the flag.

How in the hell did the flag become controversial?

The reality is that it did not, one side of the political aisle has lost so much of its mind that the thoughts they used to only entertain alone at night, are now the currency of their wing of humanity. Twenty years ago, hating the United States would’ve gotten you excommunicated from the Democratic Party. Now, it’s a requirement for membership.

Who attacks the flag? Democrats.

It started with the Gadsden flag – Democrats declaredthe concept of “Don’t Tread On Me” to be controversial, undoubtedly because they desperately seek to tread on everyone. At least the Confederate flag was associated with something negative – granted, it was something negative Democrats did and desperately wanted the world to forget they’d done it.

After burying their shame as best they could, they turned to shaming everyone else. Like the bad parent lecturing about how their kid isn’t allowed to smoke with a Pall Mall hanging out of their mouth, Democrats declared everything that wasn’t nailed down to be “extreme.”

Suddenly, the American flag would make some people “uncomfortable” because of what it represents in their heads. Their heads, of course, have plenty of vacant space in which things can easily be misrepresented – space and echoes make for confusion.

Democrats are now on the warpath, targeting Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito because his wife used their flag as the equivalent of a middle finger to a neighbor she’d been fighting with. Of course, Democrats can never be accused of flying a flag in a way anyone could spin as “offensive” because they’ve already burned all of theirs. The only flags a Democrat respectsare the Ukrainian flag and the Palestinian flag: corruption and terrorists, the conjoined twins of the progressive left

Oh, and the seizure inducing, vomitus rectangle called the “Progressive flag,” where every form of degeneracy is celebrated and human beings are reduced to a color. Democrats really notice color, just any black person who lived under their control in the south 150 years ago.

Now the “Appeal To Heaven” flag is the latest “extremist” flag. It was designed by an extremist: George Washington.

Washington was so extreme that he walked away from political power for the first time in human history. Actually, he was so extreme and love the country so dearly he’d despise Democrats and may well advocate for their trial and execution for treason.

Alito, it turns out, flew this Washington flag, too. If anything proves someone is an extremist it is holding the greatest Founding Father in anything other than contempt. Just ask anyone condemning the existence of Jews in their commencement address to a bunch of new minted unemployable lesbian history studies majors and they’ll yell you all about it. Er, tell you all about it…yelling.

Democrats Senator Sheldon Whitehouse, who literally belongs to a “whites only” beach club his wife helps run, had the balls to declare Alito too extreme to serve. That takes an incredible amount of gall, or at least the knowledge that the people of Rhode Island really don’t like black people either, so why bother to keep your campaign promise to resign? Hell, those morons reelected him three times, and are poised to do it again. There’s little daylight between how Sheldon conducts himself and how KKK Grand Wizard would.

Hell, Democrats elected a leader of the KKK to be their lead two times in the Senate in the 80s and 90s, do you really think they’re going to let a little racism keep them from their exclusive swimming club?

Now the San Francisco Chronicle is writing stories about how dumb people are now afraid of this flag, seemingly having gotten over the concerns around piles of human feces and used junkie needles all over the street. Also, having forgotten that the flag flew at SF City Hall at the same time that evil Alito had it at his house. And the New York Times, which praised an art exhibit with the flag in just a couple of years ago.

But no one noticed it at Alito’s house back then, now they have, and for stupid people, history begins when they first notice something they can complain about or exploit.

It’s actually a sign of desperation that Democrats are will to make themselves look this stupid rather than engage on the issues. Once they get done promising an abortion in every uterus, they’ve pretty much run out of issues where they enjoy anything close to majority support. That gives me hope that voters will throw their worthless asses out of office in November. What it does mean for sure is they’re only going to get more desperate before then.

A Final Indignity to the Arsenal of Democracy?

Abetting communist Chinese subnational incursions into our states has been a bipartisan disgrace—and this is despite the bipartisan warnings of the military, intelligence, and law enforcement.

It is Memorial Day weekend. A time for us to commemorate and reflect upon the ultimate sacrifices given by our fallen citizen-soldiers and the enduring grief of their families and loved ones, which were and are selflessly borne in the defense of their fellow Americans and our free republic.

This spirit of self-sacrifice is rarely evidenced by far too many of the elected officials who will publicly eulogize these same fallen patriots and extend condolences to their families and loved ones. While exhorting others to emulate the example of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, these disingenuous politicians refuse to risk an ounce of political capital—not by opposing public sentiment—but by supporting it in the defense of our national security. Why? Because they fear alienating major corporations and their own party leaders.

While currently occurring primarily in “Blue States,” abetting communist Chinese subnational incursions into our states has been a bipartisan disgrace—and this is despite the bipartisan warnings of the military, intelligence, and law enforcement communities.

The complicit politicians’ reasoning is as follows: using taxpayer money to subsidize CCP-linked businesses locating in states will provide jobs and boost the economy of not only the local populace but also the profits of these companies’ American corporate partners. In sum, having failed to implement the necessary fiscal and free market policies to produce domestic economic growth, these politicians have latched onto these Chinese-linked companies as an electoral lifeline. Apparently, these politicians think the public believes a job is a job and will not care about the use of their tax dollars to import CCP-linked companies into our backyard.

To wit: my home state of Michigan, which during World War II was rightly lauded with the name “The Arsenal of Democracy.” The “greatest generation” of Michiganians not only fought in foreign fields, they toiled in machine shops’ and factories’ floors to produce the armaments needed not only for our forces but for our allies as well. One shining example of American industrial and military might was the Ford Motor Company’s Willow Run Facility (Air Force Plant 31).

As the Detroit Historical Society records, Willow Run was built in 1941 with $200,000,000 investment by the federal government. At its wartime peak,

…Willow Run was able to achieve remarkable production rates. At its peak in 1944, it produced a B-24 [bomber aircraft] every hour. By 1945, it was able to produce 70 percent of its B-24s in two nine-hour shifts, with pilots and crew members sleeping on 1,300 cots as they waited for the B-24s to roll off the assembly line. The Ford Motor Company eventually produced half of their 18,000 total B-24s at Willow Run.

Yet, over time, even as the threats to America ebbed and flowed, morphed and intensified, Willow Run ebbed in the minds of policymakers and the public. In 1953, Willow Run changed hands by lease and, ultimately, by deed from Ford to General Motors; and by 2010, Willow Run plant became a casualty of GM’s bankruptcy proceeding:

Most of the plant was demolished in 2014 but a 175,000 foot portion was offered to the Yankee Air Museum, housed in a hangar until a 2004 fire. After successful fundraising, the Museum reopened in 2017 in the historic building.

“The American Center for Mobility claimed the remainder of the massive site and in 2018 opened a proving ground and research facility for self-driving cars, the only one in Michigan and one of ten in the U.S., as designated by the U.S. Dept. of Transportation.

What is of note to the present discussion is this: back in 1941, the U.S. government expended taxpayer dollars to an American corporation to provide employment in making armaments for the defense of our nation. Today, state governments are expending taxpayer dollars to CCP-linked companies that use the mantra of “jobs” to deflect from the potential to undermine our national security. All this for a talking point how “[Politician Name] Created [X Number of] Jobs.” (Sadly, the economic mendacity of this message remains lost upon far too many of our citizenry.)

And the offending politicians show no signs of slowing in their feckless endangering of our national security. As the Daily Caller’s Nick Pope reports:

Michigan Democrats shot down an effort to significantly expand the vetting process for China-tied companies seeking to cash in on state incentives earlier in May.

Republican lawmakers in both chambers of the state’s legislature pushed budget amendments that would have prohibited the use of state funds to subsidize corporations originating from adversarial countries like China, but neither amendment made it into the budgets that passed on May 9 and May 15. House and Senate Democrats leveraged their control of each chamber to shoot down both amendments.

The reason for the partisan divide is the support of the democratic administration of Governor Gretchen Whitmer for “Gotion, a company looking to build a subsidized facility in the Grand Rapids area… The state announced in October 2022 that it would be providing Gotion with incentives worth $715 million to attract its $2.4 billion factory to Michigan.”

This is despite the fact that Gotion

…is tied to China and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) via its parent company, Gotion High-Tech. The Daily Caller News Foundation has reported extensively on the company’s links to China and the CCP, which include Gotion High-Tech’s employment of more than 900 CCP members as of 2022 and the fact that a visiting delegation of CCP officials set up a talent recruitment work station at Gotion’s California headquarters in 2017.

This is not a one-off by the wholly Democrat-controlled Michigan legislature, who, according to state Senator Jonathan Lindsey (R-17):

Governor Whitmer and the Democrats in Michigan are so married to this idea of taking Michigan taxpayer dollars and giving them to these corporations with ties to China, they refuse to budge. Last year they voted against preventing tax dollars from supporting child slave labor in China. This year they voted against reviews and limitations on those dollars flowing toward our global adversaries. What they’re doing is absolutely wrong for the people of Michigan.

As Michigan Senate minority leader Aric Nesbitt (R-20) further points out, “It’s shocking to watch the Democrat majority in Michigan hand over hundreds of millions in tax dollars from struggling Michigan families to multinational corporations that pledge allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party in their corporate documents.”

Yet, what of the Ford Motor Company, the quintessentially American corporation that was a major artery pumping munitions and materiel through the heart of the Arsenal of Democracy and into our military and allies’ hands? Like the Willow Run plant, Ford has another project seeking public subsidies. Unlike the Willow Run plant, however:

…Ford’s licensing deal with CATL, a Chinese battery manufacturer, has also drawn scrutiny. Ford planned to open a facility in [Michigan] – with the help of state incentives in excess of $1.5 billion – where it would manufacture batteries using CATL’s technology and know-how, but the company has since scaled down its planned factory, according to CNBC.

Perhaps it is an elected official and Navy veteran, State Representative Andrew Beeler (R-64), who, being well versed in the self-sacrifice made by our men and women in uniform and their families, so well expressed his consternation and concerns:

I didn’t spend years in the Navy pushing back against the Chinese Communist Party in the South China Sea only to come to the Michigan Legislature and give them government handouts… But House Democrats voted to let hostile foreign powers keep spreading influence and gathering intelligence on Michigan taxpayers’ dime.

Given the bipartisan opposition to spending taxpayer money to subsidize CCP-linked companies, one might be tempted to chalk this up to a case of imbecilic political hacks cutting off their nose to spite their face and hoping no one notices. Granted, it would not be the first time. Yet this is far worse. These useful elected idiots are spending taxpayer dollars to buy the CCP the razor that barbaric regime will use to cut our throat. That this is happening in Michigan could well constitute a final—suicidal—indignity to the arsenal of Democracy.

That this is happening at all constitutes an unconscionable affront to the citizen-soldiers who gave their last full measure of devotion for us.

Would DeSantis Work As Trump's VP?

Previously, I looked into former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard as Donald Trump's potential VP pick, weighing the benefits of having an outsider run with an outsider for the Republican ticket. But now, let's look at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who seems to be making his own headway into being a VP pick himself.

(Hear Me Out...Tulsi Gabbard Would Not Be a Bad VP Pick)

Let's start with the elephant in the room. DeSantis and Trump ran a really contentious race, which is par for the course with Republicans, but when you run against Trump for office, any race is contentious. Trump isn't kind when he fights. This is both his blessing and his curse because while it may push him into the center spotlight, it alienates many people.

However, with the primary campaign over, and Trump now heading toward the General, several Republicans are positioning themselves to be his VP, and Trump definitely has a shortlist where you will find Ron DeSnatis's name among a few others. DeSantis, being the good guy he is, isn't signaling his opposition to that fact and is even raising money for Trump to the tune of over $3 million. Trump, in return, is appreciative that he has DeSantis' support.

“Ron, I love that you’re back,” Trump said during a call into a Ford Lauderdale fundraiser being put on by DeSantis.

Let's say that Trump selects him. What could we look forward to?

Firstly, this may end up de-ruffling the feathers of quite a few DeSantis fans who had had quite a bit of animosity built up from the primary. While I don't expect every DeSantis supporter to shrug it off, I think enough would bring even more oomph to Trump's campaign and smooth out one of the Republican Party's greatest handicaps, interparty friction.

Secondly, not everyone trusts Trump, but many do trust DeSantis. Given his track record in Florida, having someone like DeSantis, a conservative bulldog when it comes to the fight, would add some much-needed confidence in terms of decision-making. Moreover, DeSantis would bring a balancing of political styles, specifically those who like Trump's policies but would feel a lot better with someone who can act a little more traditionally behind the microphone.

Then, of course, there's the future to look to.

Trump is no spring chicken, but DeSantis is. If anything were to happen to Trump, the Republican Party can rest easy knowing that the guy taking over is competent and trustworthy. Even if anything doesn't happen to Trump, Ron DeSantis is on his last term as Florida governor, and politicians rarely benefit from being out of the spotlight for long. DeSantis being VP keeps him front and center so that when 2028 comes around, he's primed and ready to assume the role of POTUS.

This doesn't mean it'll all be rainbows and butterflies.

A Trump/DeSantis ticket won't do much to bring in independents, though one could argue Trump is already doing that just fine. If the Bronx rally showed us anything, it's that even Democrats seem to want to vote for Trump and don't seem to tie him completely to the Republican Party.

Then there's the fact that this won't be a ticket for moderate Republicans to enjoy. You can expect some pushback in D.C. from Republicans who find themselves comfortably in the McConnell camp. However, perhaps this will trigger something of a showdown within the Republican Party between moderates and conservatives that would decisively put the Party in one group's hands or another. This is an event many have been calling for for some time now. That said, it will complicate anything huge that a Trump/DeSantis team would try to accomplish.

Then, of course, there will be the fact that this ticket will cause a meltdown among the media who will not ever stop declaring the sky is falling and that we're all going to die because Trump and DeSantis are going to bring down plagues, fire, and brimstone at any moment. Any twitch of their finger or unusual blink will be overanalyzed, overreported, and overdramatized.

The press will do its best to render anything good the duo do as offensive and destructive purely because they're two people that they can't help but hate more than any others.

Don't get me wrong. It's fun to watch the press go apoplectic, but the sad fact is that they still have too much pull in this country, and they will abuse the absolute hell out of it to paint these two as apocalyptically bad, setting off a chain of events that will see towns burn, people die, and good policy made bad. If this is the ticket we get, these boys better have a plan to embarrass and discredit the press with every plan they have.

Overall, I like this ticket. I think it gives conservatives a reason to get motivated and it helps us pave a smoother path to 2028.

Look What's Come Back to Haunt Hunter Biden at His Gun Trial

Mia Cathell reporting for Townhall

Prosecutors plan to introduce the infamous "laptop from hell" as evidence against Hunter Biden at the First Son's federal gun trial. Yes, the laptop is "real," the Justice Department insists, and questioning its authenticity is an unfounded "conspiracy theory."

According to a court document filed Wednesday, special counsel David C. Weiss wants to submit the device into evidence as proof that President Joe Biden's son was addicted to crack at the time he bought a gun in 2018, thereby violating federal law.

"The defendant's laptop is real (it will be introduced as a trial exhibit) and it contains significant evidence of the defendant's guilt," Weiss wrote in Wednesday's court filing, citing sources that corroborate the laptop's legitimacy, such as Hunter Biden's own admissions in his book, Beautiful Things. "Any argument that suggests his laptop is not authentic would be inappropriate because there is no foundation for such questioning, and it risks creating juror confusion about the evidence actually at issue in this case."

Earlier this week, Hunter Biden's defense attorneys opposed the prosecution using the laptop as supporting evidence, arguing in an opposition filing that "the data had been altered and compromised before investigators obtained the electronic material..."

Hunter Biden had dropped off his MacBook Pro at a Delaware computer repair place—The Mac Shop owned by John Paul Mac Isaac—in April 2019 and never reclaimed it. Eight months later, Mac Isaac handed the hard drive to the FBI in December 2019.

"Mr. Biden cannot agree this electronic data is 'authentic' as to being his data as he used and stored it prior to Mac Issac obtaining it," Hunter Biden's defense counsel countered Monday. The defense claimed that in Mac Isaac's memoir, American Injustice: My Battle to Expose the Truth, the store owner acknowledged he "dove into the laptop every evening" within the first few weeks of acquiring it, accessing its contents, watching videos, scrolling through photos, reading emails, and opening files. The repairman also made copies or "clones" of the data for others, including Trump allies Robert Costello and Rudy Giuliani.

The defense cited a forensic analysis commissioned by The Washington Post that cast aspersions on the data's veracity. "Thus, vast amounts of what has been reported as Mr. Biden's data from the laptop could not be validated as his," the defense wrote.

"Mr. Biden should be able to object on authenticity grounds to any data from the iCloud or the MacBook laptop," the defense counsel argued, claiming that it's "inflammatory evidence that may have been tampered with by someone other than Mr. Biden."

In response, Weiss said nowhere in Mac Isaac's book does the author say he manipulated the data, because "no such passages are quoted in the defendant's response." Furthermore, the prosecution has witnesses lined up ready to testify that they exchanged these messages in question with Hunter Biden. Also, Weiss added, the laptop's contents are only a fraction of the digital evidence collected against him, including iCloud data obtained directly from Apple and not originating from the laptop.

"What are the messages the defendant is claiming were somehow retroactively planted into his non-functional laptop, and what is the evidence of that? There is none. He has not shown any of the actual evidence in this case is unreliable or inauthentic..." Weiss rebutted. "Instead, the defendant's theory about the laptop is a conspiracy theory with no supporting evidence."

Speaking on the WaPo report's findings, Weiss noted that The Post had made copies of a portable drive provided by a third party and furnished them to the analysts they hired. Meanwhile, the federal government is using "actual extractions" taken by an FBI forensic specialist following "a technical examination" of the laptop, "not whatever files were [...] eventually obtained by the Washington Post after who-knows-what was added to them by third parties that have nothing to do with this criminal case."

The laptop's discovery ignited a media firestorm in the lead-up to the 2020 presidential election. A trove of damning emails found on the laptop uncovered the Biden family's shady overseas business dealings and apparent influence-peddling scheme abroad.

The pro-Biden establishment tried to dismiss it as Russian disinformation. Fifty-one ex-intelligence officials, now known as the "spies who lied," claimed—without evidence—that the story bore "all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation." Biden, then the Democratic nominee, invoked the letter at the second presidential debate. But, one of the letter's signatories, Michael Morell, formerly the CIA's deputy director, admitted that Biden's 2020 campaign played an active role in the letter's origins and strategized the statement's release in an effort to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story ahead of Election Day.

Now, Hunter Biden's defense relies on an allegation involving a Russian businessman claiming that the defendant's devices were compromised by FSB assets (Russia's Federal Security Service) during a trip he took to Kazakhstan in 2014. "This is yet another example of the defendant asking people to believe Russian intelligence when it suits his interests, but not to believe Russian intelligence when it doesn't suit his interests," Weiss wrote Wednesday. "None of this hearsay on hearsay is evidence, and none of it demonstrates that the actual trial evidence was altered. Any questioning suggesting this would be without a foundation."

The prosecution asked the judge overseeing the looming trial to prohibit Hunter Biden from suggesting that the electronic evidence is fabricated or fake because "he has not offered any evidence supporting such a claim." The defense has had the raw laptop data since September 2023, but has failed to produce reciprocal evidence of its manipulation or alteration, Weiss wrote.

The judge presiding over the proceedings ruled Friday that jurors at Hunter Biden's upcoming trial on weapons charges can be shown the laptop evidence of his illegal drug use and that it cannot be barred outright based on the defense's claim it had been hacked and implanted with false information. However, U.S. District Judge Maryellen Noreika stipulated that the defense can also object to the introduction of certain pieces of evidence extracted from the laptop on an item-by-item basis. The ruling is likely to lead to feuds between the prosecution and the defense, stretching the trial beyond the one-week timeline we're expecting.

Hunter Biden's trial is scheduled to start on the morning of June 3 at the federal courthouse in Wilmington, Delaware, his father's stomping grounds. The proceedings will kick off with jury selection, and the jury trial is supposed to last from three to six days.

Hunter Biden is charged with making a false statement in the purchase of a firearm, making a false statement related to information required to be kept by a licensed dealer, and possession of a firearm by someone who is illegally using or addicted to a controlled substance. If convicted, he faces up to 25 years in prison. He is pleading not guilty to the three felony firearm crimes.

Yes, Democrats Want Aliens To Vote In U.S. Elections. Take Jamie Raskin’s Word For It

Raskin suggested in a law paper that ‘Alien suffrage’ could
‘become part of a basic human right to democracy.’

As the House voted Thursday to bar foreign nationals from voting in local Washington, D.C. elections, Democrats and their public-relations team in the corporate media have rolled out the big guns in attacking such election integrity efforts. They’re painting the legislation that ensures noncitizens cannot vote in elections as the next so-called “Big Lie,” sticking to their well-worn narrative that noncitizens already are prohibited from voting in U.S. elections and that such violations “don’t exist.”

But one of the fiercest opponents of the election integrity legislation has said the quiet part out loud, as Democrats are wont to do.

‘Alien Suffrage’

As Fox News reported, U.S. Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., wrote a full-throated defense of “Alien Suffrage” in a 1993 paper for the American University Washington College of Law, where he serves as Professor of Law Emeritus. Raskin is ranking member of the House’s Oversight Committee, which, among other things, has constitutional oversight of the District of Columbia.

“In this Article, I will argue that the current blanket exclusion of noncitizens from the ballot is neither constitutionally required nor historically normal,” Raskin wrote. “Moreover, the disenfranchisement of aliens at the local level is vulnerable to deep theoretical objections since resident aliens — who are governed, taxed, and often drafted just like citizens — have a strong democratic claim to being considered members, indeed citizens, of their local communities.”

Not surprisingly, Raskin was among 143 Democrats voting against the Republican-led bill blocking illegal immigrants and other foreign nationals from voting in elections in the district, over which Congress has ultimate authority. Interestingly, 52 Democrats joined Republicans in passing the measure — because the vast majority of Americans believe only U.S. citizens should be allowed to vote in local and U.S. elections. Taking the opposing view is not a smart reelection strategy for politically vulnerable liberals.

Several cities in Raskin’s home state have allowed foreign nationals to vote in local elections for years. Takoma Park, Maryland in November celebrated its 30th anniversary “of the first non-US. Residents” voting in the Washington, D.C. suburb.

“Even if it’s only a handful voting in elections—and it’s more than that—it’s a huge step forward for democracy,” said Seth Grimes, a leftist community organizer, in an official city press release. “Non-citizens have a stake in civic affairs, and everyone should have a voice in who governs them.”

Polling shows an overwhelming number of Americans don’t share Grimes’ point of view, or the one expressed in Raskin’s law school report. A national poll conducted last year for Americans for Citizen Voting by RMG Research, Inc., found 75 percent of respondents were opposed to allowing foreign nationals to vote in their local elections.

In his 1993 paper, Raskin argued that the “emergence of a global market and the corresponding dilution of national boundaries, would invite us to treat local governments as ‘polities of presence’ in which all community inhabitants, not just those who are citizens of the superordinate nation-state, form the electorate.”

“Alien suffrage would thus become part of a basic human right to democracy,” the now-congressman wrote.

Does Raskin still feel that way? His office did not return The Federalist’s request for comment.

Media: Alien Voting Doesn’t Happen and It’s Fine When It Does

After Thursday’s vote, it’s not a leap to suspect many of Raskin’s fellow Democrats support foreign nationals voting in local elections. If they were against it, they would have voted for the D.C. election integrity measure.

Corporate media, of course, have been running interference for Democrats in the weeks since former President Donald Trump, the GOP’s presumed presidential nominee, and Speaker Mike Johnson announced the rollout of the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act. The SAVE Act is aimed at shoring up glaring holes in the 30-year-old National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) passed during a simpler time, when politicians believed in borders. The bill would amend the 1993 “Motor Voter” law to require individuals to provide proof of citizenship before they are automatically registered to vote at state departments of motor vehicles and other agencies. It also requires states to remove foreign nationals from their voting rolls, something too many state election officials have been loath to do. The NVRA does not require direct proof of citizenship for voter registration.

Republicans say the legislation is crucial in the wake of the millions of illegal immigrants that have poured through the U.S. southwest border since Joe Biden took the presidential oath of office in January 2021.

“There is currently an unprecedented and a clear and present danger to the integrity of our election system, and that is the threat of noncitizens and illegal aliens voting in our elections,” Johnson said at a Capitol press conference earlier this month announcing the bill.

But the accomplice media, while conceding foreign nationals have been caught voting in federal elections, assert the act is extremely rare. Besides, the left’s messengers contend, what illegal alien in his right mind would risk committing a felony just to vote in a federal election? The New York Times accused Republicans of “Sowing [a] False Narrative.” The Associated Press asserts “Noncitizen voting isn’t an issue in federal elections,” while it acknowledges that it does happen.

“To be clear, there have been cases of noncitizens casting ballots, but they are extremely rare. Those who have looked into these cases say they often involve legal immigrants who mistakenly believe they have the right to vote,” AP admits

So much for the idea that any illegal vote dilutes the validity of an election. Again the corporate media like to put qualifiers on fraud, forced by the facts to acknowledge its existence but insisting it isn’t “widespread.”

“They’ve used ‘widespread’ for years as a way of downplaying any concern about it,” said Hans von Spakovsky, a former member of the Federal Election Commission and Senior Legal Fellow in the Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies. “We don’t have ‘widespread’ bank robberies but we have enough of them that we take very detailed security precautions to prevent them. Election fraud is exactly the same.”

Where Democrats Stand

Raskin isn’t the only Democrat who has defended foreign nationals voting in elections. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, a Brooklyn Democrat, has been very vocal in his support for aliens voting in New York local elections. His New York congressional colleague, leftist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, has suggested the Republican-controlled House’s bill to bar foreign nationals from voting in D.C. is reminiscent of the days of slavery.

“They’re singling out the residents of the District of Columbia and expanding in the history of disenfranchisement that goes all the way back to the legacy of slavery,” she said last year.

James Comer, chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, said the bill aims to rectify the D.C. City Council’s decision to “recklessly allowed non-citizens to participate in elections in our nation’s capital.”

“This move by the Council was irresponsible and subverts the voices of American citizens,” Comer said in a statement. “Today, Congress took action and I applaud the passage of legislation that will now prohibit non-citizens from voting in District of Columbia elections.”

The House bill pertaining to D.C. elections and the SAVE Act aren’t going anywhere this year with a Democrat-controlled Senate and a president who appears to be running a Democrat Party future recruitment drive. But Americans, many of whom don’t support illegal aliens and other foreign nationals voting in U.S. elections, know where the party stands heading into the November election.

“Rep. Raskin is okay with the ‘dilution of national boundaries.’ I am not. And neither are the majority of United States citizens,” said Jack Tomczak, national field director for Americans for Citizen Voting, which is leading a growing national effort to amend state constitutions to include citizen-only voting language.
