'He is a Traitor': Internet slams Steve Bannon as he urges MAGA supporters to be ready for Prison

'He is a Traitor': Internet slams Steve Bannon as he urges MAGA supporters to be ready for Prison (msn.com)

WASHINGTON, DC: Political strategist Steve Bannon recently asserted that MAGA supporters should be "prepared to go to prison" during his keynote address at the Patrons for American Statecraft Conference in Washington, DC on March 15th.

In his speech, he further mentioned that former President Donald Trump is not flawless and proceeded to describe him as an "instrument of divine providence."

Currently, Bannon is challenging a felony conviction and a four-month jail sentence for purportedly evading a congressional committee subpoena regarding the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.

During the speech, Bannon said, "The political class in this city cannot deal with the problems we face. This is why they hate Trump. Trump's not perfect. He's far from perfect. That he's an instrument of divine providence is no doubt in my mind because I was there. I saw it."

He added, "No money, no organization, a plane, a man, a message, and just go around and people listened because he connects to them and he shows you the multi-ethnic, multiracial coalition we can put together, particularly if we focus on the economics of it."

He further stated, "You can't just talk about deconstructing the administrative state, you have to do it. You have to take on the deep state. You have to do it. You have to be prepared to go to prison. I've got prison sentences all over."

Significantly, in 2020, Bannon was arrested aboard a Chinese billionaire's yacht and charged with defrauding supporters of the 'We Build the Wall' initiative.

The initiative had pledged a privately financed border wall, which ultimately turned out to be nonexistent.

After receiving a pardon from President Trump, he evaded federal charges. However, once New York State assumed jurisdiction, he will face trial in May on charges of money laundering, criminal conspiracy, and a "scheme to defraud" related to the alleged scam, as per MSNBC.

Internet slams Steve Bannon for his statement

Several people on the internet trolled Steve Bannon for his statement saying "MAGA should be prepared to go to prison."

A user wrote on X, "That went well for them on J6. Bannon's judge needs to lock him up!" while one added, "He is a Traitor to this country. SO many traitors walking free."

A user also posted, "Openly promoting sedition. Perhaps the @FBI

or @DOJCrimDiv or someone in the legal arena should visit Bannon" whereas one mentioned, "Bannon should be prepared to go to prison."

A user commented, "Encouraging civil engagement is important, but it's essential to uphold the rule of law and democratic principles in pursuing political goals."

'Just Trash': Jake Tapper's Response to Aaron Rodgers Denying CNN Hit Piece Claims Was Something Else

Sister Toldjah reporting for RedState

We reported Thursday on a hit piece from CNN's Jake Tapper about New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, which was published one day after independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed Rodgers was on his short list of possible vice presidential picks.

The CNN story contained allegations from two sources, one being an anonymous source and the other being CNN reporter Pamela Brown, that Rodgers was a Sandy Hook mass shooting conspiracy theorist, believing it was a government-orchestrated event.

As we noted in our write-up, however, not only was the article thinly sourced and the allegations unverifiable, but the timing of it was quite convenient considering Kennedy's earlier statement about Rodgers.

Further, there is bad blood between CNN, Tapper, and Rodgers stemming in part from Rodgers' January comments about late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein - comments that led Tapper put public pressure on Disney and ESPN to no longer give Rodgers a "forum" with which to spread "false, defamatory, [and] wildly irresponsible" claims.

As we also reported, Rodgers posted a denial of CNN's claims Thursday on the Twitter machine, referencing past comments he made on the tragedy:

"As I’m on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I am not and have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts and prayers continue to remain with the families affected along with the entire Sandy Hook community."

In an update to this developing story, Tapper filed a new "report" to address Rodgers' tweet. In one of the most blatant attempts at gaslighting ever made on CNN, he declared that Rodgers did not deny "previously sharing conspiracy theories about the tragedy" - even though that's exactly what he did in his tweet.

Displaying his grotesque unprofessionalism and liberal bias in what was supposed to be straight news reporting, the purportedly "principled journalist" openly sneered at both Rodgers and RFK Jr. and actually chuckled when he repeated his false claim that Rodgers did not deny what CNN reported.

At the end of it, Tapper gloated over the fact that his evidence-free hit piece is already bearing fruit because RFK donors are supposedly now expressing discontent over his consideration of Rodgers:

Spectator Contributing Editor Stephen M. Miller described Tapper and his DNC-style journalisming as "just trash. You're just trash."

Others turned the tables on Tapper:

What I find especially fascinating about all of this is that Tapper has skipped straight over the whole "these are allegations" qualifiers that you typically see in stories of this nature and has gone straight for the "this is true" framing, presumably because one of CNN's reporters said it happened.

The problem is that CNN has a massive credibility crisis that stems in part from pseudo-journalists like Jake Tapper who, for example, spent four years peddling Trump/Russia collusion hoax nonsense (not to mention the Brett Kavanaugh conspiracy theories) with nothing to show for it in the end. As a result, only diehard GOP-hating leftists believe anything that comes out of their mouths anymore.

Further, though CNN has no proof that Rodgers said any of these things, there is evidence Rodgers is telling the truth:

I'm not an RFK Jr. fan, and I don't have any particular affinity for Rodgers one way or the other. But what I dislike even more is when bad-faith actors in the mainstream media do the bidding for one political party or another in what in the end equates to election interference, media-style.

It is not up to Aaron Rodgers to disprove what CNN alleged. It is up to CNN to prove the claims and then and only then should the alleged statements be definitively portrayed as true in their broadcasts and stories.

Until then, I'm left to conclude that this is just more evidence of CNN doing what they do best: running interference for Democrats by trying to destroy anything and anyone that potentially could stand in their way. Prove me wrong.

Biden Regime Abuses U.S. Intelligence Community to Undermine Netanyahu’s Leadership

For America’s intelligence agencies to do the job they were created to do and be taken seriously by presidents and U.S. officials, they must strictly stay out of U.S. politics.

Something reprehensible happened this week during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on the U.S. Intelligence Community’s annual worldwide threats report. In addition to discussing threats to our country from China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and terrorist groups, the report questioned the leadership of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and said large protests in Israel demanding his resignation could drive him from power.

This finding caused an unnamed senior Israeli official—believed to be Netanyahu—to allege that the Biden administration is trying to overthrow the Netanyahu government. The Israeli official’s response was reasonable in light of growing tensions between Biden and Netanyahu over the Israel-Hamas War and Netanyahu’s refusal to give in to the Biden administration’s pressure to end the war early because this conflict is deeply unpopular with many of Mr. Biden’s supporters.

Following up on the intelligence report’s language, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer yesterday called on Israel to hold new elections and said Netanyahu has “lost his way” and is an obstacle to peace.

Such public criticism by a top U.S. politician of the leader of a close ally is inappropriate. But it is unacceptable for the U.S. Intelligence Community to do this.

One has to ask why criticism of Netanyahu and the prospects of him remaining in power would be part of an unclassified intelligence report on worldwide threats to the U.S. Shouldn’t such a report be devoted to the analysis of nations and groups that threaten our country?

This was politicization of intelligence, pure and simple, and followed a long tradition of Democratic administrations using intelligence agencies as proxies to promote their policies. By asserting that U.S. intelligence is strictly nonpartisan, expect White House officials to claim these findings are authoritative and nonpolitical.

Unfortunately, it has been well established—especially during the Trump Administration—that U.S. intelligence agencies are far from nonpolitical. From distorting analysis to undermine the Trump administration, to leaking intelligence to hurt Trump campaign and administration officials, to fabricating a false narrative of collusion between the 2016 Trump campaign and Russia—which included spying on Trump campaign officials, no sensible person in this country believes the myth that U.S. intelligence agencies are nonpolitical and above politics.

And let’s not forget the October 2020 letter by 51 former intelligence officers that falsely claimed the Hunter Biden laptop story was Russian disinformation—a letter that was cleared for publication by Intelligence Community officials.

This is not the first time that worldwide threat hearings have been politicized. For example, during a 2019 worldwide threat briefing to the Senate Intelligence Committee, CIA Director Gina Haspel and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats questioned President Trump’s policies to counter the Iranian and North Korean nuclear programs and suggested that they would fail, positions consistent with the foreign policy establishment and government careerists. President Trump didn’t appreciate his intelligence chiefs publicly criticizing his top national security initiatives. As a result, Trump canceled open worldwide threat briefings for the remainder of his presidency.

Given how closely the report’s criticism of Netanyahu tracks with Biden Administration policy, I believe this language wasn’t just reviewed by National Security Council officials; it was drafted by them. In effect, this was an attempt by the Biden White House to dress up their criticism of Netanyahu as an intelligence assessment.

This is not the first instance of tawdry treatment of Israel by the Biden Administration. Every time Biden officials try to smear and undermine this close friend of America, they fritter away what is left of their credibility. This is why global instability is rising as U.S. deterrence fades away.

The worldwide threat report’s criticism of Netanyahu comes at a time when the U.S. Intelligence Community is still suffering from an erosion of trust because of its inappropriate political activities during the Trump administration. The report’s Netanyahu language makes this worse by blurring the line between intelligence analysis and political commentary.

For America’s intelligence agencies to do the job they were created to do and be taken seriously by presidents and U.S. officials, they must strictly stay out of U.S. politics. Their continuing refusal to do so could lead to painful reforms starting in January 2025.

Mike Pence Says He Will Not Vote for Donald Trump

Playing the role of the faithful corporate Republican, former Vice President Mike Pence appears on Fox News today to advocate for the nation state of Israel and disparage President Donald Trump.

One does not need to be a deep weeds political follower to understand the motives of Pence and how they relate to his corporate Republican alignment.  The Wall Street Sea Island group, who operate in the multinational financial world, in combination with the professional political class, who organize both wings of the UniParty system, are diametrically opposed to President Donald Trump.  This is Mike Pence’s tribe, and his influence and affluence are dependent on his association.  WATCH:

There’s a sense of disgust, a genuine dislike of people who hold the personality traits of Mike Pence.  President Donald Trump really did become a touchstone to reveal the deep rot within our USA body politic.  In the Trump, era we see just how horrid and corrupt the system is.

If you stand back and think about it, more people voted for President Trump than any Republican in history; a man who has withstood some of the most vicious and vitriolic attacks in history.  Yet, here stands the sanctimonious Mike Pence declaring himself as the arbiter of all things Republican.  I dislike these people immensely.

Conrad Black: (Canada's) Globe and Mail fails on Trump Opinion by Conrad Black • 5 min read

It is a painful duty for me, once again, to take issue in these pages with the Globe and Mail. Because of the competition between these newspapers, there is a natural element of rivalry. But that has never diluted my acceptance that the Globe and Mail is an important and distinguished national institution. (I was a founding columnist with its future editor William Thorsell in the ROB magazine until my late friend Norman Webster genially fired me on Christmas Eve, 1997, because of my role in the founding of the National Post).

I have had many friends there over many years including in the Webster and Thomson families, which between them have owned the Globe and Mail for about 65 years. In 1979, I joined with the late John Bassett and George Gardner in an effort to buy the Globe and Mail and affiliated publications in 1979 but we were outbid by Ken Thomson. The following comments on that newspaper’s lead editorial on Tuesday, March 12, are accordingly made from a perspective of respectful concern that the Globe and Mail not deviate from being a source of reliable information and enlightened and sensible comment.

My concern about that editorial is not about the preference that the newspaper’s editors express in the upcoming United States presidential election. While I have frequently been derided for stating that Donald Trump has more merit as U.S. president and as a presidential candidate than is generally believed in this country, the fact that on the advice of the White House legal office, he gave my co-defendants and I a full pardon from charges made against us in that country, which the White House counsel, after meticulous review, considered were unjust, and after we had effectively won legal vindication anyway, does not prevent me from seeing the former president’s limitations or the arguments that can be made against him, as a perusal of my book about him shows, “A President Like No Other.”

With these disclaimers, I dissent from the editorial mentioned because of its portrayal of this coming election as a clear case of the incumbent President Joe Biden as a champion of “liberal democratic values around the globe,” while a victory for Trump would be a victory for a “neo-autocratic” xenophobe who attempted to perpetrate an “insurrection” after the last election.

Trump did absolutely nothing when he was president to justify the charge that he seeks to alter or violate the constitution, diminish the democratic safeguards of the American political system, reduce anyone’s civil liberties or abuse the justice system.

Those who wish to judge the issues in this presidential election fairly should remember that Trump’s opponents politicized the Central Intelligence and National Security agencies and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other parts of the Justice Department in 2016 to facilitate the production of a pastiche of lies and defamations assembled at the behest and expense of the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign that was presented to the American media as the product of authentic and impartial intelligence gathering.

They should also recall that Trump was impeached unsuccessfully for asking the president of Ukraine to let him know if the Biden family had acted with propriety or not in its commercial dealings in Ukraine. The transcript of the conversation that gave rise to the impeachment charge is available to the public; Trump asked for the facts, not for a cooked-up smear job on the Bidens.

He was acquitted in the impeachment trial and we now know that the conduct of the Biden family in Ukraine is open to very serious question. They deserve the benefit of the presumption of innocence, but if Trump had ever been involved in anything remotely as compromising, the constitution would have been amended to require that he be tarred and feathered prior to life imprisonment on a ration of bread and water.

It would also be useful to remember that the present secretary of state, Antony Blinken, “triggered” a letter from 51 past senior intelligence officers on the eve of the 2020 election that attested that evidence against Joe Biden’s son, which has now been completely authenticated, was “Russian disinformation.” The directors of the National and Central Intelligence agencies, James Clapper and John Brennan, who signed the letter, had previously lied under oath to congressional committees and Clapper publicly announced that Trump was a Russian intelligence asset and Brennan accused him of “treason.”

The March 12 Globe editorial accuses Trump of attempted insurrection on Jan. 6, 2021. As everyone knows, he faces a number of indictments and impartial legal experts, including political opponents, such as Alan Dershowitz and Jonathan Turley, are almost unanimous in regarding these indictments as politically motivated and legally dubious, and it may safely be assumed that if there was one scintilla of evidence connecting Trump to an attempted insurrection that would have been charged. It has not.

Readers might wish to reflect what the reaction would be in this country if the leader of the opposition were indicted on scores of far-fetched charges in the run-up to a general election. Trump asked the hundreds of thousands of his supporters in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021, to demonstrate “peacefully and patriotically,” and it may be safely assumed that if he had intended an insurrection it would have been a more substantial challenge than a group of hooligans and lunatics in ludicrous costumes wandering aimlessly about Congress. Trump told former acting defence secretary Christopher Miller to “fill” a request for National Guard reinforcements, but this was not done.

Trump was understandably annoyed that the courts declined to hear any of the 19 lawsuits taken against the constitutionality of the changes to voting that permitted millions of unsolicited mail-in ballots. He should have been more careful to distance himself from the trespassers and vandals at the Capitol; but the last thing he wanted was an insurrection or the appearance of an attempt at one.

The editors of the Globe and Mail credit President Biden with a successful term and make no effort to explain why President Trump is leading the polls. The answer is that most Americans have higher taxes and lower disposable incomes than they had four years ago when there was effectively no unemployment, minimal inflation, petroleum exports exceeded imports for the first time in nearly 70 years, no serious war in the world and almost no illegal immigration compared to the eight- to 10-million people that have been allowed to enter the country in the last three years, including several thousand rapists and murderers.

There is also a steadily increasing number of people who are more alarmed at the threat to constitutional democracy posed by the politicization of the justice system than they are averse to the return of the ex-president.

Both President Biden and Trump have their shortcomings. It is indeed an important election but the desirable outcome for America and the world was not clarified by the Globe and Mail’s preposterously one-sided presentation of the merits of the candidates on March 12. More is expected of a major national institution.
