Here's tonight's news:
Linda Thomas-Greenfield, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, recently appeared on NPR’s “News Hour” to discuss the looming catastrophe in Somalia and call for more aid to the troubled east African nation. In her interview, she repeatedly cited climate change as the reason for Somalia’s current predicament.
Framing problems, whether they occur in Syria, Somalia, or California, as primarily the result of “climate change” is inaccurate and unhelpful. The drought in the Horn of Africa is indeed severe, so bad, in fact, that NPR reports it as “the worst drought in 40 years.”
So what about 40 years ago? If the multiyear drought gripping the Horn of Africa in the 1980s was worse than the one we’re seeing today, what changed? It wasn’t the climate.
What’s really happened in Somalia over the past 40 years is, in almost every imaginable aspect, evidence of how the international community’s foreign aid agenda has failed. Food insecurity in Somalia and elsewhere is exacerbated by aid policies that ignore the root causes and propose unsustainable solutions. Today, the trajectory of policies proposed by globalists in the name of combating “climate change” are going to make the problems facing nations like Somalia much worse.
To begin with, the primary cause of Somalia’s current difficulties is a population that has grown beyond the capacity of a primitive agricultural economy to sustain. In 1950, Somalia’s population was only 2.2 million. By 1983, 40 years ago, it had nearly tripled to 6.1 million. Without investment in infrastructure and adoption of modern agriculture, Somalia was already overpopulated. The nation already lacked the ability to withstand a drought. But the drought and famine in the early 1980s was just the beginning of Somalia’s imbalance between its internal capacity and demand for food.
Today Somalia has a population of 18.1 million, triple the number of people living there in 1983. There is no end in sight. In 1983, the total births per woman in Somalia was 7.3, unchanged from 1960. By 2020 that rate had only dropped slightly. Women of child-bearing age in Somalia on average are still having 6.4 children. Their population is increasing at a rate of more than 3 percent per year. This means their population will double to 36 million people by 2045, just 22 years from now.
If Somalia were possessed of a vibrant and growing economy, modern infrastructure, and a robust agricultural sector, one might applaud their fecundity. After all, prosperity, as we have seen throughout the world, tends to correlate almost perfectly with population decline. But nothing of the sort has happened in Somalia. It is a failed state, utterly dependent on foreign aid.
Ever since African nations gained independence in the 1960s, the policies of mostly Western nations have centered around shoveling billions of dollars in food aid and medical aid, with the utterly unsustainable result being exploding populations in societies that don’t evolve and advance internally because they don’t have to.
To put this failure into stark economic terms, Somalia’s GDP in 2020 was $6.9 billion. On that base, their exports totaled a paltry $276 million, while they imported $4.2 billion. Somalia’s trade deficit is nearly 60 percent of their GDP. They are a welfare nation, living on a welfare continent.
When Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield elaborated on the crisis in Somalia, one of her first observations was how the war in Ukraine, a world breadbasket, was reducing the flow of food aid. But while welfare in the form of food aid may be necessary and justified in the present crisis to avert mass starvation, in the long run it is the addiction that kills the patient.
Even now, Somalia could produce all the food it needs internally and withstand droughts. The nation has two rivers running out of the highlands of Ethiopia that could irrigate vast areas of fertile land in Somalia’s southwest. The Juba River, at its point of entry into Somalia, has an average annual flow of 4.5 million acre-feet per year while the Shabelle River averages another 1.9 million acre-feet per year. According to the World Bank, Somalia has an estimated 3.5 million acres of arable land. To feed 18 million people, this is plenty of water and plenty of land.
An expert on the potential of Somali agriculture is Dr. Hussein Haji, founder of the Somali Agricultural Technical Group (SATG). In a lecture posted on the SATG website, Haji identifies Somalia’s perennial water sources for irrigation, its ample farmable land, and its year-round growing season. Haji also points out that crop yields per unit of area in Somalia are one-tenth that of modern farms. Haji goes on to note the potential of Somalia’s coastal fisheries and abundant grazing land.
Bringing Somalia, and the rest of Africa, into the 21st century is complicated. But what is not complicated is the fact that nothing on offer from the globalist climate change agenda is going to help. Somalia needs hydroelectric power and reservoirs to guarantee a drought-proof water supply. That will require dams, or at least off-stream reservoirs if the topography permits it.
But dams and hydroelectric power are environmentally incorrect. Hence Somalis are denied water and food security.
Somalia also has abundant oil and gas reserves. They could drill and refine oil and gas to fuel their growing industrial and transportation sector, generate electricity, produce fertilizer, and have plenty left over to export.
Successfully transitioning Somalia into a nation that is food independent even in drought years requires a combination of conventional infrastructure investment paired with evolved thinking on sustainable agriculture. Innovative grazing techniques could help restore arid landscapes in Somalia and elsewhere in Africa. Purchasing high-yield, but open-pollinated seeds, could ensure Somalia’s farmers can improve their productivity without becoming hooked on expensive so-called terminator seeds, which cannot be saved and used for next year’s crop.
A common thread that can inform what might otherwise seem an inconsistent approach is to recognize that behind strategies to supposedly combat the “climate crisis” is a cabal of Western corporate and financial elites who want to control the world. To do this, it is necessary to leave nations dependent on foreign aid and unable to survive without incurring huge trade deficits. This is the hidden agenda behind the supposed necessity to halt all investment in practical infrastructure and conventional energy in developing nations.
If you want to control a people—whether it’s an emerging nation overseas or an aspiring inner-city community in America—control the food and control the money. In the bargain, your bureaucracies and your corporate allies will be the conduits through which power and profits will be harvested.
Americans and citizens of other Western nations are also victims of the globalist climate agenda. One must differentiate between the misanthropic actions of the plutocracy that has currently hijacked American politics, and the innate, magnanimous character of the American people: traditional values, know-how, optimism and bold dreams.
If a political balance were restored between genuine environmentalist values and the need for practical infrastructure, Americans could preserve upward mobility and the middle class in their own nation at the same time as they made investments in nations like Somalia to enable them to achieve prosperity. Moreover, if American companies went to Somalia to build dams, aqueducts, power plants, an electricity grid, and drill for gas and oil, they could do it with the utmost possible respect for the environment.
If Somalia were to become a truly independent and prosperous nation, its population would stabilize, as has happened without exception throughout the developed world. This is perhaps the finest irony and most sinister consequence of the climate change agenda. If Africa’s population stays on course, and doubles to over 2 billion people by 2050, every time there is a drought or a disruption in food aid, hundreds of millions of Africans will strip the forests bare for fuel and slaughter the wild game for protein. They will live in societies so destabilized by poverty that the very last thing on their minds will be breathing clean air, drinking clean water, or protecting wilderness and wildlife.
Environmentalism, in trying to solve the alleged climate crisis, is destroying the environment.
At its cynical roots, globalist diktats to combat the “climate crisis” are schemes to create dependency and debt in order to control the Global South. This is the real reason why Somalis are starving today. This is why, along with all their counterparts throughout Africa, they are migrating by the millions to prosperous Western nations. Western elites call them “climate refugees.” The precise opposite is true. They are refugees from nations held down and impoverished by the globalist climate agenda.
Satan Is So Hot Right Now
This week, the Grammys were held in Los Angeles. They featured a star-studded cavalcade of singers who can't sing, songsters who require a team of dozens to write their songs and dancers who can't dance. They also featured a full-on satanic ritual onstage, starring used-to-be-just-a-gay-dude-then-genderqueer-now-gender-nonbinary singer Sam Smith and transgender female (translation: biological male) Kim Petras.
Their song, "Unholy," won them Best Pop Group/Group Performance. Their performance, in which the tubby Smith donned a Satan outfit and top hat with horns while Petras gyrated in a cage surrounded by Satan-costumed strippers, made headlines for its transgressive imagery.
The goal, of course, is to tweak people of traditionally religious bent, draw a response and then act offended. "Why can't you just leave us alone?" cry our cultural elites as they demand our attention.
We're all supposed to be shocked, of course. That's the point.
But the fact that the performance is so un- shocking should be the true shock. The Grammys were sponsored by major corporations. Shadow president of the United States and world's greatest physician Dr. Jill Biden showed up to present an award. And CBS tweeted in anticipation of the Satanic routine, "We are ready to worship!"
But the truth is that Satan is so in right now.
After all, Satan's message has become our society's: personal "authenticity" requires the destruction of all traditional mores and the trashing of all intermediate institutions of Western civilization. To be "free" means to live without rules or boundaries. And our truest heroes are those who say, as John Milton's Satan did, "better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heav'n."
Milton meant his Satan to be a villain, rejecting the Good, True and Beautiful in favor of personal power. But we have followed the path of dissolute romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley, who argued, "Milton's Devil as a moral being is as far superior to his God as one who perseveres in some purpose which he has conceived to be excellent in spite of adversity and torture." Sure, Milton's Devil provided no good to anyone, including himself -- but he stood up to the strictures of an outside, objective moral code. It was Shelley himself who argued that "religion and morality, as they now stand, compose a practical code of misery and servitude: the genius of human happiness must tear every leaf from the accursed book of God ere man can read the inscription on his heart."
How different are the musings of Shelley from the less-sophisticated musings of Smith and Petras? As Smith says, "It really is just about how I feel." Or Petras: "it's a take on not being able to choose religion. And not being able to live the way that people might want you to live... I was kind of hellkeeper Kim."
God makes demands of us. God suggests that there is a higher Truth to which we are subject, rules and roles we ought to obey for purposes of societal strength, spiritual durability and personal fulfillment. Satan makes no demands of us beyond the surrender of our reason, our higher aspirations and our souls. Milton's Satan rebelled against God. Today, those of Godly bent are increasingly fighting a rebellion against the truly dominant spiritual power of a narcissistic culture that prizes self above all, celebrated by a transgressive monolithic culture.
Sunlit7 op
Tucker Carlson at it again spinning lies, a couple weeks ago he was telling the world that Jordan Walker, the man seen in the Project Veritas supposed undercover sting was third in line at the top of Pfizer when the truth actually prevailed he was a business contractor with an office at Pfizer but didn't actually work for Pfizer. The closer truth to that, which is still speculative, is that he was under the supervision or worked in the division under the third in line at Pfizer. But PV knew that already as seen in the video when the "supposed" date Walker was on with asked him if his information was coming from Sarah Wu, your executive.
What's being seen up with Tucker of recent? Chicken eggs and a supposed shortage thereof. Many have pointed out there isn't a shortage of eggs just a lot of eggs out there that are costly. Tucker doesn't go to his what he terms his "chicken whisperer" Tiara Soleim, whose made several appearances on his show about chickens to ask if she is experiencing a lack of her hens laying chickens he shows a clip off tiktok of someone claiming their hens haven't been producing eggs. He than lays claim that it isn't just one farmer but chicken farmers all across the country, not of them but a lot, than he plays the tiktok video.
"Now healthy hens lay eggs on a regular basis, every 24 to 26 hours. But suddenly, chicken owners all over the country – not all of them, but a lot of them – are reporting they're not getting any eggs or as many. So what's causing that? Clearly, something is causing that. Some have concluded their chicken feed may be responsible."
"And so instead of going to the usual sources at the AG Department or calling the White House press office, we decided to listen to people who actually have chickens. And that one, for example, the lady you just saw, says she switched her chicken feed and it solved the problem. Her chickens began laying eggs once again immediately.">
When he said immediately that should have been enough to send out a heads up. I called someone out on it in a blog the other day when he said he changed his feed and the very next day his chickens were laying eggs. I told him you had me there for a few minutes until you made the next day claim. If he'd said three, four days later, maybe a week it would have been more believable. Everyone knows it takes time to clear away something bad in your system, it just doesn't happen overnight. That's why of the half dozen videos put out there on social media of chicken not laying eggs only one story was believable in that regard and that was the guy who said within six, seven days his chickens started producing again.
Considering these individuals on social media releasing these videos are miniscule in the overall picture of our national egg supply Tucker added some more falsehoods to the feeding frenzy of the Q Anons by mentioning, once again, other falsehoods that has spread across social media. For instance food production facilities that were hit by airplanes, which wasn't true, there were two plane crashes nearby but not directly into the food facilities themselves, a potato plant fire and a recent fire at a factory last month that involved an estimated one hundred thousand chicken deaths.
"But some days you do wonder. On Saturday, an enormous commercial egg farm in central Connecticut burned to the ground for no obvious reason. Huge fire. At least 20 fire departments responded, fought the blaze for over 8 hours. More than 100,000 chickens died."
"Now, that's a sad story. But what's interesting is that most media companies did not consider it a story at all. Weird, considering egg prices have become an actual problem for most Americans. Egg prices are up more than 100% in many places. And yet at that exact moment, when eggs are a concern, 100,000 chickens die in a freak fire. And The New York Times, which is right next door in a neighboring state, does not even cover the fire. What is that? Don't worry. "Things like this have nothing to do with egg prices, say the media. It's just avian flu."
"So if you ask the Agriculture Department, for example, or anyone in the Biden administration, to the extent they're paying attention, which is not much, they'll tell you that egg prices are high because avian flu. And that's a completely natural virus, just like COVID. The prices have nothing to do with chicken farms burning down. Again, not that anyone in the government tracks that kind of thing. Why would they? Because nothing like that could ever happen. Settle down, QAnon. And a lot of people, particularly the national news media, people who could not identify a chicken if it didn't come with dipping sauce, are satisfied with that explanation."
It's false the government doesn't track our food supply, they very much do so. You can find out exactly how much is grown of anything in this country, produced in this country, raised in this country, is exported out of this country, the cost figures attached to those activities, and the losses to those activities due to crop failures, disasters and production losses. That's how I found out that there are over five thousand different types of malfunctions that causes disturbances in the manufacturing processes, it could be anything from fires, bacterial contaminations or burst pipe. You can also find out that with over forty five thousand food manufacturing plants spread across the nation five thousand mishaps, which some are minimal with many not disrupting the entire operation, are a minute factor in our overall ability to supply adequate food supplies in the country.
Tucker isn't going to tell you all that, nor is he going to the AG site to check out the stats on. He'd found it's less than minuscule on the backyard hens and minuscule of a major producer burning down would have on had on our egg supply. The same minuscule when I looked into his propaganda a few months ago on factory fires and planes hitting them.
A spokesperson for the state’s Department of Agriculture confirms that approximately 100,000 egg-laying hens were killed. While some may wonder if this could impact egg prices, they say no.
“There are more than 372 million egg-laying hens in the United States. The anticipated potential impact on egg prices due to this incident is minimal to none currently,” according to a Department of Agriculture spokesperson.
With three hundred and twenty six million people in the country that's one egg a day for every man, woman and child that exist on a daily basis with forty six million eggs left over. The next day, if all those hens lay one egg a day the process starts over for all three hundred and sixty five days in the year. If the backyard farmers hens never laid another egg in their lifetime it would have zero effect on the nations egg supply. If it took them a year to rebuild that chicken plant it also would have zero effect on our nations egg supply. When he says minimal to none he means minimal if they are being produced for retail to none if they are possibly, they'll never tell you this, one of a number of egg producers who produce exclusively for the government under contract for vaccines. Those producers are those who are held as non disclosure in the interest of national security. It is also those producers whom produce eggs from young hens, five to six months, some sooner as that's when they have the highest level of lgY in their eggs. So now we could go out a year and a half with getting that plant back up and operating and still it'd have minimal effect on the nations food supply. So why would Tucker mislead you like that? It's two fold with one aspect found in his closing and in the closing of a subsequent interview he did on that:
"We don't think that's the last word. Again, we can't tell you for certain either way. But we do know and here's really the point, that America's food supply is one of those topics is worth being a little paranoid about. This is not a matter of how many trans Pacific Islander oboists we've got. This is a matter of national survival – of food. The question on which empires rise and fall."
**
"So are we being a little paranoid about thee American food supply? Yes we are and we are proud of it and our leaders should be even more paranoid about our food supply, always about our food supply. Food, energy, water, the rest of it is noise, and of course they're ignoring what really matters."
Here, once again and I argued this point in my op on the Project Veritas video, and to a greater degree in my Giving Them What They Want opinion piece, is a contra operation to gain public trust while undermining those same individuals. This time though it was inclusive of an institution that is a supporting mechanism within the nationalist empire they want to fall. That being a focus upon a major supplier of a trusted brand name company across rural America whose motto is "For Life Out Here", The Tractor Supply Company. Tractor Supply Company is a publicly listed company with thirteen billion dollars in annual revenue, has forty six thousand employees with over two thousand locations in forty nine states who businesses are geared toward rural America. That's a whole lot of material support for the red blooded Americans. Whom by throwing Q Anon into the mix of the conversation was an attempt at branding the whole of rural Americans as low IQ individuals. With Purina's name splashed in huge letters across his screen Tucker went on to remind American's that recently, recently evidently being three years ago, one of Purina's products was recalled due to contamination that caused some cow's death in Florida. The farmers appeared way less worried about the cows as Tucker has with non laying hens. The farmers were quoted in the article as saying when the test come back if it was the feed they'll make it right with us. Cows die all the time by the hands of farmers, it's not like they're kept as family pets, as long as their compensated it's just the death were caused out of the ordinary. He can't express enough the importance of our leaders to express paranoia over our food supply. For as long as you can keep the populace stressed about food, energy and water their ignoring what really matters, like the take down of a entrenched nationalist company.

America's Civil War, which raged from 1861 to 1865, was by far the bloodiest conflict in our history. Original estimates put the death toll at about 620,000, including some 360,000 Union and 260,000 Confederate dead. More recent estimates of the carnage are even higher: 750,000 to 850,000. The Battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862, at Sharpsburg, Maryland, still ranks as the bloodiest day in U.S. history, with nearly 23,000 casualties on both sides, including 3,675 killed in action. How does a country possibly recover from a calamity so huge?
But recover we did. Thanks to the wisdom of martyred president Abraham Lincoln and the munificence of soldiers who had fought brother against brother, reconciliation and reunification were achieved, and our country not only survived, but prospered.
It could have been so much worse. Bloody guerrilla warfare might have persisted for decades. But saner heads on both sides prevailed. After all, Lincoln's goal had been nothing short of preservation the United States of America.
Members of the West Point class of 1961 at their 40th reunion gifted their Alma Mater a monument commemorating that seminal time in our history, when North and South put aside their animosities and united in common purpose. Reconciliation Plaza is a series of stone markers, reminiscent of gravestones, commemorating members of the classes of 1861 and 1961 who lost their lives in wars separated by a century. In addition to these markers, others reflect the ironies of West Point classmates and instructors pitted against one another in mortal combat and record acts of charity and brotherly love by soldiers on opposite sides of the conflict.
One marker tells the story of future Supreme Court justice, then–Union captain Oliver Wendell Holmes, staggering severely wounded into a house on the Antietam battlefield behind Confederate lines. A Rebel asked through a window if wounded Yankees were inside and, when told yes, tossed his full canteen inside to slake their thirst.
Another marker chronicles how at the Battle of Cedar Creek in 1864, mortally wounded Confederate Major General Stephen Dodson Ramseur was carried to Northern lines, where Union West Point classmates and friends, including Major General George Armstrong Custer, gave comfort through the night as he lay dying.
Marker number 8 commemorates West Pointer Robert E. Lee's surrender to fellow academy graduate Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Courthouse, Virginia on April 9, 1865. The Union's greatest general magnanimously permitted the defeated Confederates "to return to their homes not to be disturbed ... as long as they observe their paroles ... let all men who claim to own a horse or mule take the animals home with them to work their little farms."
Marker 12 tells of the West Point Centennial Celebration of 1902. The culmination of the reconciliation process, Union Major General Thomas H. Ruger, Class of 1854, and Confederate Brigadier General Edward P. Alexander, Class of 1857, delivered back-to-back speeches before an audience of veterans from both sides of the Civil War.
"When the end came there was found in their hearts an echo to the words 'Let us have peace,'" Ruger noted. Alexander spoke next: "It was best for the South that the cause was lost[.] ... The firm bonds which today hold together this great nation could never have been wrought by debates in Congress."
These are noble sentiments, spoken from the heart, which should be an inspiration to all of us. Yet here we stand, 121 years later, with Reconciliation Plaza slated for defacement and demolition.
One can imagine some pencil-necked minion of the so-called military base "Naming Commission" pointing his bony finger like a Salem Witch Trial judge at the names of dead soldiers on a marker, shouting, "These white supremacist traitors must be excised and exorcised! Shame! Shame!"
Surely, we are better than this.
Make no mistake; the objective of these leftist vandals is to further divide us so that their "fundamental transformation" of America, with its defunding of police, sexual grooming of children, demonization of parents, cancelation, and social credit systems, may flourish. Their ultimate goal is to so tarnish our Founding Fathers that the nation they bequeathed us, our Constitution, its Bill of Rights, and our Declaration of Independence all become the fruit of the poisonous tree. Then it's either a new civil war or one-party globalist rule, rigged elections, and citizen serfdom.
VICE recently held a discussion panel on “Asian Hate,” including the supposed plight of being a “model minority,” and it illustrated the absolute state of the deranged, race-obsessed left.
Things quickly went off the rails as the panel’s few conservatives clashed with several of the outspoken progressives. Disagreements over “whiteness” and how success is realized escalated into fireworks, with one purple-haired woman stealing the show, and not in a good way.
Here are a few of the funniest clips, though you can watch the full panel by clicking here.
I feel sorry for the poor guy in a suit. He’s sitting there trying to explain that he doesn’t feel as if he’s held back by a nefarious conspiracy of “white” power structures, but before he can finish, the purple-haired woman jumps in shouting about “white people.” Meanwhile, her sidekick, who we’ll call green-shirt dude, is making weird faces as if he’s in shock someone would suggest “whiteness” isn’t responsible for all the world’s ills.
It’s the second clip that is just everything, though. The discussion moves to why Asians have high incomes and low crime rates compared to other races (including whites), and the guy in a suit points out that things like family cohesion, personal responsibility, and cultural expectations are part of the reason. That sends the purple-haired woman into an apoplectic rage, accusing him of racism. The green-shirt dude then starts flipping out in shock that someone would dare suggest out-of-wedlock births are a cause of poverty. It’s absolutely hilarious.
Here’s a bit more of their argument over “whiteness.” It’s a real shame the moderator jumped in to save the progressives from actually having to define their terms because the guy in a suit had them dead to rights.
When you listen to the shouted opinions of the various progressives on the panel, their worldviews boil down to one thing: “Whiteness” is to be avoided at all costs, even if the things being described as “whiteness” are objectively positive and ultimately non-racial. The guy in the suit keeps trying to make the point that assimilation is good if the culture you are assimilating into practices that produce personal success and social cohesion.
Shouldn’t that be common sense? Go to school, don’t have kids until you’re married, and don’t break the law. Do those things and you’ve got a very good shot in America to succeed in life, no matter what race you are. That doesn’t mean racism doesn’t exist or that some people won’t hit speed bumps in certain situations, but the complete dismissal of success in America as “whiteness” is laughably dumb. It also happens to be false.
The Deep State in Washington, D.C. just offered to debrief Trump Administration officials about the hot air balloons that have invaded our airspace from China. But Biden was sworn into office as president more than two years ago, so hot air appears to be blowing as much from the Deep State in our country as it is from the Far East.
Apparently the shadow government in D.C. is no longer subject to the will of the American people in selecting our president. The career federal government employees admit now that they concealed information about prior invasions by Chinese spy balloons that are 200-feet tall and weigh more than a ton apiece, which reportedly occurred while Trump was president.
According to NPR, a similar breach of our airspace by immense balloons from China has occurred at least four other times the past few years, without the public apprised of this. Similar high-altitude balloons have been used for spying for more than a half-century.
This belated revelation by the Deep State about these Chinese balloons reinforces the shocking admission in 2021 by the worthless Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, that he would give advance warning to China if the United States planned an attack against it. In the last few months of the Trump presidency, Milley made two unusual phone calls to Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army.
Democrats were in control of the House Armed Services Committee then, but did nothing. Republicans called for Milley to resign but he declined to do so.
Milley is the entrenched bureaucrat who declared about education at West Point, “it is important that we train and we understand – and I want to understand White rage. And I’m White,” he added.
Milley should be called to testify about whether he, too, knew about any spy balloons from China invading American airspace, and whether that information was withheld from elected officials. Trump’s second Secretary of Defense, Mark Esper, confirmed that he was never told about this.
CNN reported on Tuesday that a balloon from China flew over Florida in 2019, while Trump was president and yet he was not informed about this. The military bizarrely asserts now that it did not become aware of this violation of our airspace until years after the fact.
It was only the public sighting of one of these balloons over Montana that caused the Deep State to admit that it has known about them, and yet done nothing. Days of indecision by Biden followed, when he should have acted decisively at the outset.
Biden says now that he ordered the latest balloon shot down as soon as the military deemed it appropriate, but then it waited until the balloon floated offshore before downing it. The military brass allowed the balloon to traverse the United States and thereby electronically send back to China immediately as much information as it could gather.
China admits that its balloon had some steering capability, which implies that its travels were being controlled by signals from the communist country. Such instantaneous communication through satellites is commonplace now.
By allowing the balloon to complete its journey across our country, the Deep State permitted China to obtain everything it wanted. Shooting it down over the Atlantic Ocean was nearly pointless.
This dilly-dallying echoes the ineffective response by Biden to China-owned TikTok, the social media platform for short videos that has upended Facebook, Google, and YouTube in attracting participation by young people. Many have observed the threat that TikTok poses to the United States as it foments and monitors addictive behavior by tens of millions of young Americans.
Meanwhile, the consequences of the power grab by unelected officials in D.C. in rejecting the authority of duly elected presidents are breathtaking. Even now, the Deep State may not be promptly obeying orders by Biden as the current president, as it apparently defied for days Biden’s order to shoot it down.
The D.C. elite fail to safeguard our southern border against invasion by illegal aliens, so it is not surprising that they fail to protect our airspace, too. Fortunately, Republicans control the House now and can hold hearings to compel answers about these repeated breaches of our border security, as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) properly demands.
“The POTUS is the Commander in Chief,” Rep. Greene remarks about Biden. “We must investigate and hold accountable those who broke rank” and immediate congressional hearings on this issue are necessary to accomplish this.
Courts should end their longstanding practice of deferring to federal agencies based partly on the fiction that these bureaucrats act in the best interests of Americans. The Deep State advances the globalist interests of China rather than the people who are paying their salaries: the American taxpayers.
Apparently, something happened during the Grammy Awards the other night that got the usual dopes on the right clutching their pearls in “well-I-NEVER” indignation.
And thanks to those morons, all the people who ignore the Grammy Awards (including me) now know about it. If they’d only ignored it, the attention-seeking performance would’ve gone unnoticed.
It genuinely amazes me how many people on our side, who are often quick to mock the left for being melodramatic, pearl-clutching, outrage-fueled drama queens, instantly turn into melodramatic, pearl-clutching, outrage-fueled drama queens every time someone on the left gets under their skin.
“It’s SATANIC! How dare the Grammy Awards allow that singer to put on a satanic performance! Well, I NEVER!! We should boycott all the advertisers and send a sternly-written letter to the network, vowing never to tune in again!!”
Hey, I got a better idea. How about next time some asshole on the Left deliberately needles you to get publicity, you don’t take the bait, ya dopes.
For heaven’s sake, stop falling for it!
This pop singer dressing like the devil during an awards show is doing exactly the same thing as the teenage boy in the front row of the movie theater yelling curse words at the top of his lungs is doing. The goal is to draw attention to himself by irritating people.
I wouldn’t be in the least surprised if we found out that this singer spent rehearsals boasting about how pissed off those backwater Christians were going to be when they saw his performance. And kudos, you dopes. You played right into his hands.
I saw all the breathless, angry tweets from people sharing the video of this guy’s performance, and I just shook my head at their stupidity.
See, I don’t live in a bubble. I know intrinsically that making a big freaking deal about this performance would only feed the beast. Thanks to the tireless work of the breathless dopes on the right, that singer’s performance became big news yesterday.
You know what they say. When you are a star, no publicity is bad publicity.
As a thank-you for all the free publicity, that singer, whoever the hell he is, should send a gift basket to every yarn head on the right who screamed blue murder over his performance at the Grammys.
The “How DARE you” outrage mob ensured that this guy’s devil costume performance would be seen by all the people who don’t waste their time watching the Grammys.
Top-notch work, guys. Give yourselves a round of applause.
I imagine if someone kidnapped one of these dopes and set him loose in the woods so a team of armed men could hunt him down, he’d get caught in a snare five minutes in. All the hunters would have to do is set up a laptop playing a Grammy performance in front of a deep hole covered with a tarp, and that dope would stumble right into the trap.
Seriously, don’t take the bait.
How hard is it to avoid such an obvious trap?
Here’s a helpful rule to live by. When confronted by someone deliberately trying to push your buttons, walk away and pretend he doesn’t exist. His power comes from your willingness to engage. It’s what he wants. It’s what he lives for. Why in heaven’s name would you play a game in which your opponent sets all the rules?
Knob-heads like Benny Johnson got a lot of Twitter engagement from posting a video clip of that guy’s performance. His tweeted video (that he likely stole from someone else because that’s what Benny does) had over 2.5 million views when it rolled across my Twitter feed this morning.
I didn’t bother watching it the first time I saw it yesterday morning, and I sure as hell didn’t watch it when it appeared again today. Because, unlike the 2.5 million people who did click Play, I don’t have any desire to give this singer the attention he craves.
Then again, Benny Johnson posted the video for the same reasons the singer did the performance in the first place: exposure.
Johnson wanted to goose his Twitter engagements. And all the dopes who follow Johnson not only gave the singer exactly what he wanted, but they also gave Johnson exactly what he wanted too, namely views, retweets, and increased Twitter engagement.
I’d wager 90 percent of the right’s social media “influencers” who also shared the video did it for the same reason.
They don’t really care that some singer whose name I don’t know dressed up like the devil and sang a song at the Grammys to get free publicity for himself. But they know it will drive a certain segment of the right nutty with outrage, so they promote videos of the performance to get free publicity for themselves.
It’s like a circle jerk of attention-seeking narcissists.
And I blame social media for the whole stupid clown show.
Before social media came along, the only people who would’ve known that a Grammy performer dressed like the devil would’ve been the folks who tuned in to watch the Grammy Awards. The rest of us would’ve remained blissfully unaware.
But now, the instant it happens, the usual dopes on social media scramble to be the first to post a video clip of the performance while blustering with impotent rage. Then all the leftist social media users pile on to mock the right for being puritanical lunatics who lose their marbles over a performance on an awards show they didn’t watch. Then all the lazy-ass reporters who think “journalism” means scouring Twitter for “scoops” write articles on the outrage featuring headlines like “Conservative Pounce on ‘Satanic’ Grammy Performance.”
And the shitshow social media casserole is complete.
Don’t get me wrong, the Left behaves in exactly the same way when they see something that offends them. The only difference in the recipe is that, in this case, the reporters write articles featuring headlines like “Conservatives Outraged After Social Media Mocks Christian Performer.”
Why would anyone with a single working brain cell want to wade into this mess?
Ignore it all. Don’t give it an ounce of oxygen. Maybe then this ridiculous charade can die and go to hell where it belongs.
