Some Friendly Liberal Advice to Republicans

Don't give the Left a diversion that distracts from the consequences of their horrible policies.

I want to offer my sincerest apologies for your present illiberal treatment by the Democrats, especially progressive Democrats. Your rights as Americans are being violated—in speech and in deed and in broad daylight. If present trends continue, it’s not going to end well for America.

May I offer you some advice? I know the nature of what you are up against. Progressives are bullies. They don’t like liberals either. Progressives don’t like the idea or the reality of dissent. They are impatient with the democratic process and persuasion. It’s either their way or the Substack way. They are unbearable.

Heads up: they are goading you to a prime-time slaughter. A mild-mannered historian, Jon Meacham, framed a Bull Connor of a barn-burner speech for Joe Biden. As the race-baiting segregationist Connor once sought to do with blacks, Biden’s speech looked to put the deplorables outside our civic and social order as enemies of the people.

Meacham’s speech had a message for two groups of Republicans.

To the mainstream, populist-adjacent Republicans, the message was: It’s time to bend the knee and join the Liz Cheney, Democrat-sanctioned Republican future.

To the “ultra MAGA” Republicans, the message was an intended provocation—a poke in the chest, a double-dare to stand up and push back.

The progressives are ready and wanting you to show up for a fight. They want you to show yourselves as the animals that they say you are. They are provoking folks who see themselves as American patriots so that they can cast them as domestic terrorists.

Don’t take the bait. They are looking to provoke a civil war. Instead, give them a civil rights response: peaceful and nonviolent protest is the only way forward. That’s the proven way to fight the oppression of a greater power with asymmetrical advantages.

It’s good to know the extent of the power behind the provocation, and the comparative strength of your arms.

With regard to voters, the United States is still evenly divided, but below the voter waterline, Democrats and Republicans are far from equals. Democrats have institutional arms that Republicans can’t match and don’t fully appreciate. The commanding heights of education, entertainment, media, Big Tech, big business, Wall Street, advertising, and the permanent state—these are all solid assets of Democrats. Even if Republicans win, and win, and win again, the Democrats are in a different weight and fight class. In their own heads and in reality, they are Leviathan.

One would think, looking at politics through this lens, that Democrats would calm down and ride the arc of history to eventual victory. The Republican frog is being slowly boiled. Why spike the heat and have them jump out? Just give it time. Instead, they are raising the heat to encourage the frog to jump.

Why would they do that? Because they can. They have the collective power to pull it off.

Parties and politicians rise and fall, but Washington has a permanent administrative class that defends its own interests, which appear completely aligned with Democrats and against Republicans.

Once upon a time, Republicans could think that the CIA and FBI, the Justice Department, and the military were balanced, even favorable to their interests. No longer. Once upon a time, the media and the Democratic Party were deeply suspicious of these institutions; now they are the cheerleaders and apologists for them, and regard their personnel as trusted experts whose patriotism is beyond reproach.

Maybe Al Gore did create the Internet. Before tech was Big Tech, it presented itself as a rival to all the Davos hierarchies. Now it is their tool. Business rivals work in concert with one another against those they find deplorable, looking to erase them in a world that otherwise catalogs everything.

All these institutions—and their tectonic, aggregated influence—are in Democrat hands. They and their commanding partners understand their asymmetrical superiority, and they think it’s in their short- and long-term interest to demonstrate it now.

Why? The biggest threat that progressive politics faces are the consequences of progressive legislation. Progressivism comes on the scene as a luxury good. The immorality of “poverty in the midst of plenty” is their platform to re-imagine society. But in the end, they always drive out prosperity and make poverty more pathological. Look at New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco—this is the logic of progressive government made real. It doesn’t poll well or perform well at the ballot box.

Democrats should take a hit this November—so they are flexing their muscles across the commanding-heights marketplace to solicit an advantageous response. Their prospects improve with political violence. Preceding Biden’s speech was the legally sanctioned raid of former President Donald Trump, who is widely expected to pursue one more presidential campaign. After the speech, the FBI legally served and netted all the president’s men, with no blowback at all from the mainstream press. Poke, poke.

Don’t take the bait. If you do, you’ll be playing into the trap set for you.

If you find yourself mad as hell and you don’t want to take it anymore—for the sake of what you hold dear, stand down. You should be suspicious of anyone calling for kinetic action. There is good reason to think that that person is an FBI agent. Big Tech and the FBI are watching, waiting, and enabling. They want a super-sized Ruby Ridge. Don’t give it to them.

An eyes-wide-open understanding of this asymmetrical distribution of power calls for a civil disobedience response—peaceful, nonviolent resistance. Let them show their illiberal nature. Don’t give them a diversion that distracts from the consequences of their horrible policies.

This is the path to short- and long-term Republican gains. For all that we have at stake, please commit to this path. We rise and fall together.

Enjoy tonight's rally in MIMcompoop's wasteland! 🤣🤣 Here's tonight's news:

The Boomer Left Circles the Bowl

For the Boomer Left, “Our Democracy” is
translated as “Our Legacy.”

In the past, I’ve mentioned how David Horowitz and Peter Collier aptly pegged their fellow Baby Boomers’ “New Left” as the “destructive generation.” Yet, it must be conceded that the now-aging radicals have managed, indeed, to create something—a paranoid, alternate reality known as “Our Democracy™.”

As with so much of the Baby Boomers’ old (née New) Left rhetoric, one must recognize how they’ve hollowed out the word “democracy” and reloaded it with their own partisan and personal meanings. For the Boomer Left, “Our Democracy™” is translated as “Our Legacy™.”

The fear that one’s life’s work may have been in vain is a powerful one. While most people measure their time in this vale of tears through the personal prism of faith and family, the Boomer leftist’s identity is subsumed by politics and sustained by external validation from their like-minded collective. This is true not only for the secularists among them, but for the believers who have subordinated and tailored their revealed religions to suit their leftist civil religion. When weighing themselves in the balance, the crux becomes “did you further the ‘progressive’ project?” Consequently, as the Boomer Left’s septuagenarian narcissists “rage against the dying of the light” (which is not synonymous with “speaking truth to power,” for introspection isn’t their forte), their greatest fear is that all their earthly works will be undone.

So too, the Boomer Left’s all-consuming, narcissistic fear has proven capable of being inculcated generationally through sundry, escalating degrees of indoctrination. In both rhetoric and reaction, the Boomer Left has led and fed the collective “progressive” Left with a steady diet of paranoia, ironically rendering FDR’s heirs as the party peddling fear itself—not to preserve our actual democracy but their legacy.

And what is the Boomer Left’s legacy to which they so desperately cling as, wine and reefer in hand, they confront their own mortality and their legacy’s precarity?

What the Boomer Left confronts is a paranoid collective wherein God-given, constitutionally recognized, enumerated, and protected rights, such as the free exercise of religion, free speech, the freedom of association, and the right to bear arms are eviscerated.

Where the police and surveillance tools of the state are weaponized against all dissidents, many of whom are falsely branded [fill in the blank]-phobes and -deniers, and/or domestic terrorists.

Where schoolchildren are indoctrinated, not educated and are preyed upon as pawns for the Left’s latest cultural crusade, while their parents’ rights are deceptively trammeled by teachers and administrators, who consider “Mom” and Dad” both to be passé terms and impediments to the child’s “development.”

Where justice is no longer blind, but colored through a political prism for the benefit of the leftist collective; and criminals are the creation and victims of an “unjust” society.

Where immigrants who follow the law and assimilate are treated as suckers by open border policies and officials who not only refuse to enforce federal statutes, but reward illegal entry into the country.

Where rolling energy outages, rising household costs, reduced personal mobility, among other consequences are imposed to stem the scientifically unproven “climate apocalypse.”

Where woke capital, corporations, and the legacy and much of the social media are willing, well remunerated tools of the Left’s fascism.

Where liberty and equality are replaced by the DIE cult’s worship of “diversity, inclusion, and equity.”

Where the freedom of conscience and the pursuit of happiness are crushed beneath dictates of the totalitarian state, that is the Boomer Left’s legacy.

This is a lengthy—but far from comprehensive—enumeration of the Boomer Left’s “legacy.” One can see why they fear it will not stand the test of time.

The Boomer Left’s attempt to transmogrify the American revolutionary experiment in self-government into a totalitarian socialist collective has been instituted by their “long march through the institutions.” But as a “top-down” effort to foist its harmful leftist agenda upon America, the precarious nature of their movement and accomplishments have only served to further fuel the Boomer Left’s paranoia that their legacy—“Our Democracy™”—will be undone by their fellow citizens, the vast majority of whom “Progressives” deem “Nazis.”

Further, their paranoia combines with the failure of their radical policies, which leads a majority of the populace to reject the results. As a result, to retain power the Boomer Left and their acolytes in the inch-deep progressive collective have weaponized the police and surveillance power of the administrative state, and have leveraged their “information dominance” within Big Tech and the popular culture to demonize their opponents, stifle all dissent, and try to spread their paranoia to the rest of the population.

Irony abounds. Consider the Left’s violent reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs, which rectified an unsound usurpation of the public’s power to decide how their state should or should not restrict abortion. Rather than praise a decision that replaced the court’s unappealable judicial decision with one that allowed the public to democratically make their own determinations in the individual states, the Left decried this expansion of democracy. They consider abortion on demand to be a pillar of their democracy—i.e., again, the Boomer Left’s legacy. Indeed, in the phrase “we’ve had this right for 50 years” one can hear the nostalgic lament of the Boomer Left not only for unrestricted abortion on demand, but the fear that their political legacy is already circling the porcelain bowl of history.

Evidently, what most endangers the Boomer Left’s legacy is . . . democracy. True, “died of democracy” isn’t the Boomer Left’s desired legacy. But it is their deserved epitaph.

It's Not Biden's Gaffes That Matter, It's His Blatant Lies That Are Inexcusable

Mike Miller reporting for RedState

Every time Joe Biden makes another gaffe, keyboard warriors across America rush to slap up the “news” about the latest stupid crap that comes out of his mouth. But it isn’t Biden’s never-ending gaffes that matter; it’s his blatant lies that are detrimental to the American people, yet Biden appears unfazed by that reality.

Biden’s recent “Where’s Jackie?” gaffe was a perfect example.

Biden scanned the White House crowd on Wednesday, looking for Indiana Republican Rep. Jackie Walorski, who was killed with three others in an August 3 head-on collision, including two members of her congressional staff. Embarrassing? It should be. Newsworthy — from a journalistic perspective? Hardly.

Daniel Greenfield, Shillman Journalism Fellow at David Horowitz Freedom Center, shared his spot-on take of Biden in a recent Front Page Magazine column:

What’s really telling about Biden’s “Where’ Jackie” moment isn’t that he forgot that Rep. Jackie Walorski is dead. Or that she died fairly recently. What is telling is that the Biden administration has gone into defense mode, spinning obvious lies to pretend that we didn’t hear what we heard.

There’s not much in the way of a mystery about Biden. Trump has had multiple books written about him. There isn’t enough there about Biden to fill even half a book. But there is one mystery which is how out of it is he. Biden’s version of Trump’s chaos and madman theory is to keep people guessing how senile he really is.

His functioning can vary quite a bit. Republicans tend to underestimate his functionality while Democrats overestimate it. The truth is between him, his wife and his doctors. But the bottom line is that he’s not fit to hold office. And yet he and his handlers are determined to run for another term. No matter how implausible that may seem.

The real issue is Biden’s blatant lying.

As Biden continues to lie with reckless abandon and without conscience, seemingly about anything, the Federalist in March published a list of Biden’s lies since becoming president, which was updated on September 23. Here are several:

Biden Pretends Inflation Isn’t Hurting Everyday Americans

During his “60 Minutes” interview with Scott Pelley on Sept. 18, Biden argued inflation is not as bad as it seems.

“Let’s put this in perspective,” Biden said. “Inflation rate month to month was up just an inch. Hardly at all.”

“You’re not arguing that 8.3 is good news?” Pelley asked, noting that the annual inflation rate for August was up 0.1 percent from July and more than 8 percent since the same time last year.

“No, I’m not saying it’s good news, but it was 8.2 or 8.2 before. You’re making it sound like all of a sudden, my God, it went to 8.2 percent,” Biden said.

As Pelley noted, “It’s been the highest inflation rate, Mr. President, in 40 years.” Americans are struggling to pay their grocery and energy bills, which have cost hundreds of extra dollars compared to previous years.

“I got that,” Biden retorted. “But guess what we are. We’re in a position where, for the last several months, it hasn’t spiked. It is just barely, it has been basically even.”

Biden Falsely Claims Energy Costs Came Down

In the same “60 Minutes” interview, Biden claimed energy prices have come down, but data for August inflation show energy costs are up 23.8 percent since August of 2021.

Biden Says His Ridiculously Named “Inflation Reduction Act” Will ‘Get Control of Inflation’

Moments after denying that inflation is spiking, Biden claimed that it’s his administration’s plans, including massive spending plans such as the misnomered Inflation Reduction Act, that will “get control of inflation.”

“Is the economy going to get worse before it gets better?” “60 Minutes” interviewer Pelley asked.

“No, I don’t think so. We hope, we hope we can have what they say a soft landing,” Biden said. “…I’m telling the American people that we are going to get control of inflation. And their prescription drug prices are going to be a hell of a lot lower. Their health care costs are going to be a lot lower. Their basic costs for everybody. Their energy prices are going to be lower.”

Despite Biden’s self-professed optimism about the economy, reports from financial analysts including those at the Congressional Budget Office say Democrats’ spending will make inflation over the next five years much worse, not better, as Biden and his party claimed.

Biden Says Inflation Reduction Act Will Not Raise Taxes On Americans Earning Less than $400K

During an Aug. 16 signing ceremony for the Democrat Party’s $740 billion “Inflation Reduction Act,” Biden claimed that “no one earning less than $400,000 a year will pay a penny more in federal taxes” once the legislation takes effect.

Biden’s assertion, however, runs contrary to an analysis by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO), which estimates that Americans earning less than $400,000 a year “will pay an estimated $20 billion more in taxes over the next decade” as a result of the bill, “which also sets aside $80 billion to hire 87,000 IRS agents.”

Biden Repeats ‘Fastest-Growing Economy’ Lie

Biden told Jimmy Kimmel during a June 8 interview that the U.S. has the “fastest-growing economy in the world.”

Wrong.

White House Repeats Lie that Ban on Semiautomatic Weapons Decreased Mass Shootings

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre repeated the lie that Congress’s 1994 semiautomatic gun ban decreased mass shootings.

“When he — when we talk about the executive actions that he’s taken — more than any president at this time of their administration — those are real steps that this president has taken. And not just as president, during his Senate years, in 1994, the banning of assault weapons; that is something that he led on,” she said during a press briefing on June 6.

“And if we even look at what happened those first 10 years of that — of that assault [weapons ban] was in law — into law, it actually brought down mass shootings. And when it — when it expired in 2004, 10 years later, we saw mass shootings triple.”

Wrong, KJP:

2004 study funded by the Department of Justice, however, found that the Clinton-era ban was not the reason shootings decreased in the U.S.

“We cannot clearly credit the ban with any of the nation’s recent drop in gun violence. And, indeed, there has been no discernible reduction in the lethality and injuriousness of gun violence, based on indicators like the percentage of gun crimes resulting in death or the share of gunfire incidents resulting in injury,” the report stated.

“The ban’s impact on gun violence is likely to be small at best, and perhaps too small for reliable measurement. AWs [assault weapons] were used in no more than 8% of gun crimes even before the ban.”

So, there are just seven of the major 187 lies Biden has told since taking office, as of Sep 23. Serial liar? Of course.

The Bottom Line

Joe Biden has been a serial liar for at least his nearly fifty years in Washington politics and is guilty of multiple cases of plagiarism, as well. Research indicates pathological lying can occur because of low self-esteem and a false sense of self. People who lie pathologically may want others to view them positively, making things up to make them look better. Their desire to create a false sense of self could indicate that they are unhappy with themselves. Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. is a clinical example. He continues to insult intelligent people — who aren’t liberals, that is — without a second thought.

While Biden’s gaffes and lapses make for good fodder and ridicule, his serial lies are a larger problem; a problem unbefitting a president of the United States of America.

Joe Biden Delivers a Twofer of Absurdity at Rosh Hashanah Event

Bonchie reporting for RedState

Cranking out several hundred words about Joe Biden’s mental lapses is becoming harder and harder these days, if for no other reason than the sheer volume that the president puts out. It’s constant, with sometimes multiple “moments” in a single day. If he’s not trying to summon dead people, he’s getting lost during FEMA briefings or making up new words entirely.

Friday provided no exception to the rule, and the rule is that if Biden is speaking in public, he’s going to say ridiculous things. That happened at a White House reception to celebrate Rosh Hashanah, where the president handed out a twofer of absurdity.

We’ll start with this gem of human history. Did you know that Hispanics were apparently indigenous to what is now the United States?

This is one of those things that the fact-checking industry will lecture conservative sites for making fun of because you can twist things enough to make it sort of true, but it’s really not. The term Hispanic means Spanish-speaking, with the vast majority of Hispanics being descended from Europeans. About eight percent of Latin America is indigenous, and the people in those groups are differentiated as such from the general Hispanic population.

Further, if the suggestion is then going to be that because many Hispanics have indigenous ancestors somewhere in their lineage, it should be noted a lot of Americans have diverse indigenous lineages as well. In short, no matter how you slice it, suggesting that Hispanics were “here before we were” in relation to the current residents of the United States is silly selective pandering that doesn’t actually mean anything. Even if one were to grant the premise, so what? I just don’t understand the constant need by the left to speak down to modern Americans in such a way.

Moving past that, Biden doubled up on facepalms with this ridiculous, clearly false claim about attending shul more than actual Jews do.

It must be really awkward for the crowds that show up to listen to Biden speak. He does this thing where he tells a “joke” that is objectively not funny before smiling goofily, and everyone in attendance is then expected to act like he deserves a Netflix special. What exactly is the “joke,” though? Is he suggesting Jews are faking their religion? That they don’t value it? How would a Republican making such a comment be treated by the press? That’s rhetorical, of course.

Besides, does anyone actually believe that Biden attended shul more than observant Jews do? And isn’t the mere suggestion of that highly insulting? Judaism, for those that actually practice it, is not an accessory. It’s a deep religious observance.

I’d suggest that Biden sticks to being a faux Catholic. I’d also suggest that he leave the history lessons to people who aren’t easily confused walking off a stage. Hispanics are wise to the left’s game anyway. They don’t care about this pathetic fluffing. They care about the economy, inflation, and crime

Stock Market Tanked 14 Percent Since Biden’s Inflationary Boondoggle Passed

The stock market continued its downward spiral on Thursday as the economy struggles to cope with Democrats’ reckless spending adding fuel to runaway inflation.

All three benchmark indexes closed under their opening value with the Dow Jones Industrial Average down more than 450 points. The NASDAQ dropped nearly 3 percent Thursday and the S&P 500 fell by nearly 80 points.

The Dow’s decline marks a continued trend since the signature passage of President Joe Biden’s dubiously named “Inflation Reduction Act” on Aug. 16. The Dow Jones Industrial Average has now fallen nearly 5,000 points, or more than 14 percent, in the aftermath of Biden’s bill becoming law.

The U.S. inflation rate, meanwhile, remains at a four-decade high with Labor Department data out in early September revealing that prices rose 8.3 percent last month over the year prior. When Biden celebrated the bill’s passage at the White House in mid-September, markets continued to plunge as James Taylor played “Fire and Rain” on the South Lawn.

In July, official GDP numbers revealed two consecutive quarters of negative growth, meaning the country is in a recetion. The Biden administration responded by pretending the recession doesn’t exist and sought to redefine the term, and his lapdogs in the corporate media followed the administration’s lead.

“Most economists and most Americans,” Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told reporters, “have a similar definition of recession — substantial job losses and mass layoffs, businesses shutting down, private sector activity slowing considerably, family budgets under immense strain. In sum, a broad-based weakening of our economy. That is not what we’re seeing right now.”

Most Americans are struggling to cope with inflation, however, with prices for gas and groceries increasing far higher than what they were when Biden took office. The nationwide average for a gallon of gasoline, for example, is $1.36 higher than in January 2021.

According to a survey published by the University of Michigan the month before Yellen’s comments to reporters, consumer sentiment plunged to its lowest record. Inflation also remains at the top of voters’ minds in poll after poll headed into the November midterms. Yet in an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Biden claimed the inflation rate was up “hardly at all.”

As the nation’s economic health continues to deteriorate, the stock market will keep collapsing. The falling markets have already wiped out more than $9 trillion in U.S. household wealth.

Ginni Thomas Delivers Statement That Shuts Down Jan. 6 Committee

Nick Arama reporting for RedState

Some on the left have concocted insane conspiracy theories about Ginni Thomas, Justice Clarence Thomas’ wife, and her involvement in what happened on Jan. 6.

While Thomas certainly encouraged pursuing legal means regarding concerns about fraud, there is no evidence whatsoever that she had anything to do with the riot that occurred on that day.

But if you read the insanity that is leftist Twitter (and I have so you can be spared that going down that hell hole), they have invented all kinds of calumny against her, calling her a traitor and demanding that she be prosecuted. For what, that isn’t clear. But if some had their way, “WrongThink” would be a crime and everyone who didn’t think in line with the leftist narrative would be guilty of “WrongThink.” It’s all based on their hatred of her husband and their wild thought that somehow they could implicate him in something.

I don’t know how much that crazy influenced the Committee asking Thomas to talk with them. They are ridiculous for asking her at all, like a throwback to a McCarthy hearing. Listen as CNN frames it as “having to clear her name.”

Jonathan Turley blasted the Committee for having her come in at all when there’s no evidence that she was involved in anything illegal.

The media is breathlessly reporting that “Ginni Thomas tells Jan. 6 panel she still believes false election fraud claims,” as if it were a public confession of a reactionary resisting reeducation.

The satisfaction in forcing the wife of Clarence Thomas to appear for hours of examination is deeply disturbing. Thomas is hated by the left and that hatred seemed to drive much of this effort.

CNN’s Jamie Gangel reported “Chairman Bennie Thompson has also told reporters that she still believes the election was stolen, Jake. Ginni Thomas is still an election denier.” Ok, so what? Millions of people hold the same view. They have a right to hold that view.

There was never any evidence that Thomas participated in any violence and had simply encouraged the White House and other officials to challenge the election.

But you’re not allowed to have that WrongThink, otherwise, you are an “election denier” and that’s bad. Unless you’re Hillary Clinton, Stacey Abrams, Rep. Benny Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the Jan. 6 Committee (who objected to electors in the Bush election), or Rep. Jamie Raskin (Jan. 6 Committee member, who objected to electors in the Trump election). Then it’s all cool.

However, Thomas spoke to the Committee on Thursday voluntarily. She delivered a powerful statement before speaking with them.

“Regarding the 2020 election, I did not speak with him (Justice Thomas) at all about the details of my volunteer campaign activities. And I did not speak with him at all about the details of my post-election activities, which were minimal, in any event. I am certain I never spoke with him about any of the legal challenges to the 2020 election, as I was not involved with those challenges in any way,” Thomas said at the beginning of her testimony earlier today.

Thomas then dropped a nuke all over the Committee for their low actions regarding her and her husband. “And I know he was completely unaware of my texts with Mark Meadows until this Committee leaked them to the press while he was in a hospital bed fighting an infection.” I wrote, at the time, about it being another “high-tech lynching.” She had texted Meadows asking him to continue to pursue legal options. Again, nothing wrong with that, but she’s dropping the Committee for their attempt at a smear.

Thomas also put paid to any thought she could influence her husband when it came to his cases, “Let me also add, it is laughable for anyone who knows my husband to think I could influence his jurisprudence – the man is independent and stubborn, with strong character traits of independence and integrity.” She also made it clear that they generally didn’t talk politics and they didn’t talk about his pending cases.

Her lawyer also said that she had answered all the questions they asked her.

I don’t know what they thought they would get with this tactic, she just made them look even more silly than they had looked already. But she appears to have set Thompson back on his heels, with him saying, “She’s a witness…We didn’t accuse her of anything.” Yes, you just tried to unsuccessfully smear her by leaking texts as though they meant something and ginned up your crazies on the left. But she laid them out with the truth.

DeSantis Campaign Rips Kamala for Radical, Racist Remark About Hurricane Relief

Nick Arama reporting for RedState

Democrats seem to have a deep and abiding problem with race.

As we reported earlier, you had House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) saying the racist quiet part out loud about why they want to allow illegal aliens to pour across the border — because they regard them necessary to “pick the crops.” Then, there was Joe Biden trying to pander to a Hispanic group and making warped remarks about Hispanics. I suppose that shouldn’t be surprising given his wife comparing Hispanics to “breakfast tacos.”

But on Friday, a video clip of Kamala Harris went viral, talking about hurricane response, where she spoke about delivering resources based on race.

She went on about “giving resources based on equity,” saying that we fight for equality but we also need to fight for equity and not everyone starts at the same place but that if we “want people to be in an equal place,” sometimes we have to take into account those disparities.

Wow. How many ways is that racist and wrong? No, you can’t deliver resources based on race, that’s illegal. Does she think hurricanes discriminate as she does? Hurricanes hit people of all races and hurricane resources should be distributed based on need, not race. Equality vs. Equity is leftist gobbledegook. What America guarantees (or at least did until Biden came in), was equality under the law. You cannot guarantee equality of result and any attempt to try only guarantees that everyone will become poor in the process.

This isn’t the first time that she’s pitched this “equity” stuff. Indeed, this is what she said in August.

So equity, as a concept, says: Recognize that everyone has the same capacity, but in order for them to have equal opportunity to reach that capacity, we must pay attention to this issue of equity if we are to expect and allow people to compete on equal footing. (Applause.)

Again, no. Everyone should have equality of opportunity, but everyone does not have “the same capacity.” That doesn’t even make any sense. I don’t have the same capacity in math as my brother, who taught math. He doesn’t have the same ability as I do in writing. If you’re hiring someone to teach math, he would be your guy, not me. And you could give me all kinds of help, but that would still be true. “Same capacity” sounds like Communist nonsense where everyone is regarded as the same automaton.

But while I note that math is not my thing, I think I know far more about math than does Kamala Harris from her amazement with Venn diagrams.

The video that suggested giving resources based on race got blasted by everyone on Twitter. But perhaps the best response was from the DeSantis Warroom account that made it clear that despite what Kamala Harris was trying to push, Florida and FEMA would be ensuring that everyone got the resources they needed for hurricane relief, regardless of race.

That’s what we’re about. That’s who we are, not whatever radical thoughts that Kamala Harris is trying to impose on us all.
