Justice Clarence Thomas Hospitalized

According to media reports tonight, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is in the hospital.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Justice Clarence Thomas has been hospitalized because of an infection, the Supreme Court said Sunday.

Thomas, 73, has been at Sibley Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C., since Friday after experiencing “flu-like symptoms,” the court said in a statement.

The court offered no explanation for why it waited two days to disclose that the justice was in the hospital. It also provided no additional details about the infection, but said Thomas is being treated with antibiotics and his symptoms are abating. He could be released in the next couple of days, the court said. Government Creating Another Brick for Us To Place in the Walls Around Us

Forty years ago, a rock band named Pink Floyd had a hit song, The Wall, describing the institutions of education as indoctrination machines generating thought controls.   In the era of the internet, the thought control mechanisms metastasized, but the intents of the gatekeepers remain the same.

In his weekly monologue, Neil Oliver frames new internet safety legislation in the U.K. around the issues of government-controlled speech, free thought and the recent examples of weaponized outcomes in the example of our COVID era.  [The transcript is HERE, and the internal citation he mentions from Alana Newhouse is HERE].  Oliver’s perspective is thoughtful.  WATCH:

[Transcript] […] “Moving faster and faster, from the 1970s onwards, the online culture enabled the tiny, ideologically driven elite that created it to win and take all. The online safety bill now making its way through parliament feels a whole lot like yet another move from a playbook that is well worn by now – make us, the little folk, feel we’re in danger from something we cannot see, and promise to make us feel safe by assuming yet more control over our lives.

The technocrats moved fast and they broke stuff. They broke the national boundaries that stopped them making more money in every part of the world. All the same stuff – made for the lowest price at the expense of human beings – is, increasingly, available everywhere, so that it is harder and harder even to know where you are. Rather than setting us free, the online world is, more and more, about uniformity and conformity. Much more of this and it won’t matter where you are anyway.

This is not just about the online safety bill – obviously it’s not. That piece of legislation is just another brick in the wall. During the past two years, we have been swiftly and efficiently herded to the opening of a whole new era. Most people did what they were told, in hopes of feeling safe.

And yet let’s stop for a minute and look at where we are, right now, on account of what we were told to do for the best: a cost of living crisis of the sort few alive today have ever seen and no credible ideas about how most might cope with the hits that are coming; spiking inflation; energy prices rising in a way that is out of control; restated commitment to carbon Net-Zero and, now, a land war in Europe that could go in any direction at the drop of a hat. This is where and what we’ve been brought to by those that insisted, with the full weight and force of the law behind them, they would keep us safe, safe from ourselves. In fact, while a handful of billionaires doubled their wealth, the world is apparently more dangerous than ever before.

In recent years, faster and faster every day, the technocrats, corporations and the governments with whom they enjoyed a relationship you might describe as friends with benefits, saw to the breaking or the setting aside of the institutions, long in the building, that really had kept us safe and allowed us freedom to transact with one another, in all manner of fruitful ways: education, bodily autonomy, parliament, employment rights, journalism, even the privately owned businesses on the High Street.

The authorities told the churches to close their doors on their congregations during Covid and most, shamefully, complied. Even the past itself was vilified and dismissed as corrupt, malign, only to be ashamed of. So much of what had grown over centuries, even millennia, to give us real shelter and protection, meaning in our lives, has been methodically steamrollered flat and replaced with the thinking and morals of so-called and self-proclaimed progressives who looked around at all that had been and merely sneered. Most recently, even the biological difference between men and women has been discarded – so that much of the foundation of medical science and also feminism, has been dismissed as mere bigotry. To declare that there are two sexes, and that those sexes matter, is hate-speak.

Across the board we have replaced discussion and debate with a new game where the only acceptable move is to take turns repeating and so validating the narrow world view of those progressives who have so efficiently exploited the technological revolution to create a world shaped in their own image and designed to benefit them and them only.

But of course, every one of you still awake already knows all of what I have just said, anyway. We have this understanding in common and, if nothing else, it has kept us connected and sane in an increasingly insane world that has been deliberately manipulated to make every last one of us feel alone. They shut the pubs, the schools, the churches and made us stay in our homes so that our only means of communication was via the online world they controlled.

Here’s the thing: I don’t know about you, but I have had about as much doom and gloom as I can take, these two years past, and I am a naturally miserable person, I will be the first to admit it! From now on, and as much as possible, I propose to look for the light and the fresh air of promise and potential.

What I feel, more strongly every day, is that there is a way to fix this. Or if not to fix it exactly – because some things are beyond fixing – at least to resist its effects and to offer other ways. Ways for those of like mind to turn away from what is being broadcast at us every moment of every day by every means available – and to try something different. (read more)

X22, Christian Patriot News, and more-March 20

If I end up in a big depression bout this week, you know exactly which show to blame. 😉

Here's tonight's news:

Biden’s Handlers Are Preparing to Eject Him (and Kamala)

They must replace him, otherwise they themselves risk being replaced, which would be intolerable.

I sense a disturbance in the force. In fact, I’ve been feeling the tremors for a while. Back in January, I wrote a column for American Greatness called “The Coming Dethronement of Joe Biden.” In it, I noted that Biden’s appalling performance as president would sooner or later—and probably sooner, given the ostentatious nature of his multifaceted failure—lead to his removal as president.

I should have added that it wasn’t Biden’s performance per se that would lead to his downfall. The problem, rather, was the way his performance was undermining his—and therefore his minders’ and puppetmasters’—political power. As Saul Alinsky, community organizer to the stars, noted, the “issue is never the issue.” Accordingly, the people who put Joe Biden in power—I cannot name them, but I know they are the same people who keep him in power—do not care about inflation, rising gas and food prices, COVID lockdowns or mask mandates, the porousness of our Southern border, the threat of war with Russia, or the myriad other issues that worry ordinary voters. I am quite certain, in fact, that the word “voters” brings a vaguely contemptuous smile to their faces.

They are not troubled by the suffering of the people, indeed, they approve of a certain amount of suffering. Suffering produces dependency; and dependency, in turn, is like an insurance policy for those who cater to it: the bureaucrats who fill the troughs that feed the populace. The point, of course, was never to end the dependency but to manage in such a way as to perpetuate and expand it. Joe Biden is an errand boy, a figurehead, in the metabolism of this great (not to say Great Society) act of political legerdemain.

Back in January, I compared the conundrum that Joe Biden presented to The Committee that keeps him in power with the conundrum that Richard Nixon presented to the elites of his day. Nixon was hated by all the beautiful people of his day, but before he could be disposed of the elites had to address the problem of Spiro Agnew, who in his own way was nearly as preposterous as Kamala Harris. Fortunately for the anti-Nixon forces, Agnew was also corrupt in a pedestrian, easy-to-demonstrate sort of way. So all that the forces of light and virtue had to do was produce evidence of his glomming on to paper bags full of pelf in exchange for favors rendered and, presto, Agnew was history.

Kamala Harris is more of a problem. She is at least as appallingly incompetent as her boss, and no less challenged rhetorically, as her alarming performance in Poland and Romania a week or two back demonstrated. But Harris will not be as easy to shift as was Agnew. I have heard nothing about actual bribery, and acting as the warm bun for Willie Brown’s bratwurst may be in dubious taste but is not actionable.

But Biden’s—and Harris’—polls continue to crater, with 60 percent of respondents disapproving of the job Biden is doing, and 50 percent “strongly” disapproving. It’s the worst showing yet, and many commentators are rubbing salt into the wound by stressing the adverb: We’ve been traveling down this road for months, they say, and so far every “worst yet” turns out to be tomorrow’s “hold my beer” moment.

The last several days have been full of wonder at the New York Time’sadmission that, guess what, Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” was not—as Joe Biden claimed—“Russian disinformation.” Nope, everything that Donald Trump said to Leslie Stahl about it was true. Everything the New York Post said about it was true. Twitter and the rest of the regime media pronounced a damnatio memoriae on the Post and anyone who dared publicize the scurrilous story. The poor computer repair chap who found and publicized the dirt, political as well as sexual, on Hunter’s laptop was hounded and driven into bankruptcy. (Remember Jonah Goldberg on that poor fellow? I do. “Wait you believe the computer repair shop story? Like at face value?”)

The truth was there, staring everyone in the face. Remember Tony Bobulinski? He is the former Navy officer and businessman who was set to start a financial company with Hunter and Jim Biden, Joe’s brother. As I noted at the time, just before the 2020 election Bobulinski demonstrated, with copious contemporary documentation,

that various Chinese entities, all of whom—like all things Chinese—are ultimately answerable to the party, have invested heavily in the Bidens via various business enterprises of Joe’s son Hunter. We are talking about tens of millions of dollars.

Now, why would the Chinese do this? Out of some misplaced humanitarian instinct? No, they did it in order “to capitalize on the Biden name.” At the time, remember, Joe was vice-president of the United States. That was all that Hunter had to offer. But it was, the Chinese wagered, quite a lot. Many thought that Joe Biden might be president, and it turns out they were right. It was, in short, “influence peddling of the grossest and most spectacular kind.” As I said then,

When influence is peddled, obligations are incurred. When obligations are incurred, favors can be expected. When the favors are owed, directly or indirectly, to the Chinese Communist Party, you want to be sure that the people in debt are not, you know, presiding over the government of the United States of America.

All that information about Bobulinski came from an interview with Tucker Carlson. It was about the only place you could find his name. Searches for him on CNN turned up zilch: “search not found.” We’re talking about a week or two before the election. Everything not friendly to Biden was memory-holed. Hunter’s laptop, of course, but also the evidence that Bobulinski produced showed that, contrary to Joe Biden’s direct testimony, Joe did talk to Hunter about his business. In one communication, equity stakes for the new company are spelled out. Ten percent is to be held by “H”—that’s Hunter—for “the big guy,” “my Chairman,” i.e., Joe Biden.

Which brings me back to the disturbance in the force with which I began. Why do you suppose that the New York Times has decided, finally, at this late date, to acknowledge that the story that the New York Post broke about Hunter’s laptop was true? The Times, like the rest of the fake news establishment, like virtually all of social media, buried the story, screaming loudly that of course it wasn’t true, of course it was Russian disinformation, mediated somehow by that consummate Putin puppet, Donald Trump. Fifty-one “intelligence experts,” remember, signed an open letter denouncing the story and pronouncing anathema upon Donald Trump. Presented with evidence that they were wrong, every one of that disgusting crew—John Brennan, James Clapper, and the rest of the anti-Trump deep state coven—refused to apologize

Many people seem to think that the reason that the story of Hunter’s laptop—which is just as much about Joe Biden’s perfidy as it is about Hunter’s perversion—has emerged now is because it can no longer do any serious damage. The election is over, Biden won—at least, he was declared the winner, which is not quite the same thing, although it does mean that he gets to live at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

But I wonder if there isn’t something else going on. The news is full not only of stories about the New York Times fessing up, sort of, about the contents of Hunter’s laptop, but also of stories about how Hunter is likely to be indicted for tax fraud. In one sense, that is not news. I wrote about it at the end of 2020 when Hunter announced, sotto voce, that he had been informed that he was being investigated by the tax authorities. But in another sense, I suspect, that news, like the revelation from the New York Times that, what do you know, all that stuff about Hunter’s laptop was on the level, like Joe Biden’s bizarre suggestion a couple of days ago that “everybody knows somebody” who has taken nude pictures of some lover and then used them to “blackmail” the person—all that has a different valence now that the Biden Administration is seriously underwater and there are no lifelines in evidence.

The issue is never the issue. I suspect that Joe Biden is being prepped for ejection. Exactly how it will happen I do not yet know. But he is on the threshold, or possibly has even passed the threshold, where he could appear to govern. His minders understand this. They must be the ones to replace him, otherwise they themselves risk being replaced, which would be intolerable. As I say, it’s not entirely clear yet how the defenestration will take place. Obviously, Kamala will have to be dealt with first, and she will be. Look for some ground softening stories such as the Times just served up about the laptop. They won’t be long in coming.

Peak Stupid Is Reached as Cats, Mustard, and the First Man in Space Are Canceled Because They Are Russian

streiff reporting for RedState

According to the New York Post, the non-profit Space Foundation has canceled a fundraiser named after the first man in space and renamed it “A Celebration of Space: Discover What’s Next.”

The fundraiser was initially billed as “Yuri’s Night” in honor of Soviet Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. Gagarin became a part of history on April 12, 1961, when aboard the Vostok 1 space capsule, he became the first man to orbit the earth. What caused the renaming?

“The focus of this fundraising event remains the same — to celebrate human achievements in space while inspiring the next generation to reach for the stars.”

You can see the current iteration of the conference here. In fact, the URL still calls the event “Yuri’s Night.”

This is lunacy.

There is no denying that Gagarin was the first man to orbit the earth, beating Alan Shepherd’s suborbital flight in the Freedom 7 Mercury capsule by three weeks (May 5, 1961). It would be nearly a year before John Glenn in the Mercury Friendship 7 (February 20, 1962) equaled Gagarin’s feat.

Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we’ve seen a cascade of events that are utterly unmoored from reality. Pianist Alexander Malofeev, violinist Vadim Repin, superstar soprano Anna Netrebko and conductor Valery Gergiev have all had appearances canceled because they are Russian. In addition, famed composer Pyotr Tchaikovsky has had his music pulled from concert repertoires.

It gets worse.

While I don’t think it is possible for sane people who are not under contract to a foreign government to disagree on the fact that Putin’s invasion of Ukraine was unprovoked and completely deserving of the international opprobrium brought upon Russian institutions and Russian politicians, the desire of the woke fringe in American society to feel like they are “doing something” is rapidly making a laughing stock of the cause of defending Ukraine.

It is one thing to ban Russian teams from international events, or even the Bolshoi from touring, as they represent the Russian government. That is justifiable, though I don’t think particularly well-thought-out. Even during the height of the Cold War, “cultural exchanges” took place. However, punishing individual performers, athletes, or artists strikes me as something we shouldn’t do. I don’t believe in guilt by blood, and I don’t think every citizen of a country should be accountable for the dumb****ert their government undertakes. Moreover, if we are trying to make a distinction between “good Russian people who want the war to end” and “a**hole Putin who started the war,” then making the “good people” suffer doesn’t seem to be on message.

This whole mess stinks of the woke progressive cancel culture that is pushing Critical Race Theory and sexual grooming on elementary school kids, tearing down statues of Thomas Jefferson, and trying to deprive private citizens of their ability to earn a living because they won’t agree that Lia Thompson is not now nor has he ever been a woman.

Banning cats from competition or a world-renowned soprano from concert stages does nothing to help Ukraine free itself from Russian invaders and goes a long way towards trivializing a very serious matter.

Jan 6 Committee Will Hire a Writer to Create a ‘Compelling Narrative’

Jan. 6 Committee Will Hire a Writer to Create a 'Compelling Narrative'

AP Photo/Andrew Harnik

It’s really a shame that the master propagandists of the mid-20th century in Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia missed the 21st-century revolution in imaging. Think what Goebbels and his Nazi cohorts could have done with modern CGI. Or what Stalin could have done with deep fakes.

Democrats on the Jan. 6 Committee are not similarly handicapped. They are beginning to prepare a multimedia presentation that will be available online when their final report is released (probably about six weeks out from the midterms).

And they plan to hire a writer as “part of its effort to turn its largely secretive work into a compelling narrative, multiple sources tell CNN.”

Question: Will there be scary background music to augment and enhance the “compelling narrative”?

CNN:

“We don’t want it to read like a clunky committee effort,” Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin told CNN. “We want it to have an authorial voice that tells the story of what happened.”

The effort to hire a writer, confirmed to CNN by three sources familiar with the discussions, comes as the panel enters a new stage of its investigation. After collecting mountains of information, committee members must now determine how much of it to use in building its case to a public still inundated with images of rioting at the US Capitol but which may not understand the full extent of the efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Will they differentiate between the legal efforts to challenge the electoral vote count and the illegal efforts to overturn the decision of the voters? Will they paint the peaceably assembled demonstrators who came to the Capitol ellipse to hear Donald Trump and other speakers as insurrectionists? Trying to lump the more than 50,000 Americans who came to listen to Trump in with a couple of hundred rioters who broke into the Capitol is false, misleading propaganda.

One thing that’s certain about this production: it will only tell one side of the story. And the evidence and images will be manipulated with no “minority report” to push back on it.

Describing the type of candidate to take on the writing job, another source familiar with the decision said “the person who writes a press release isn’t necessarily the person that’s going to write the deep dive, and making sure that they can put the time and energy into it, was something that we talked about.”

The source added that Mississippi Democratic Rep. Bennie Thompson, who chairs the panel, first raised the idea of hiring an outside writer as early as November, and that it has remained an active conversation since.

“The last we left it was it’s something that we’re seeking, but we also have someone in house who’s taking on an expanded role to help,” the source said.

The reason that was given for all the propaganda razzmatazz with a “compelling narrative” and exciting imagery is that this is the way that most people people “consume information.”

Presenting its information in a comprehensive and engaging way will be crucial to creating a convincing argument for potential legislative changes as well as possible criminal referrals.

It’s also a recognition of how most people consume information in 2022 — and the massive amount of video evidence the committee has at its disposal.

In other words, people are too dumb to read words. The words must be accompanied by images. The Committee won’t want journalists for this work. This is a job for a Hollywood screenwriter.

The ability to show a “comprehensive” story in an “engaging way” is what Hollywood writers have been doing for 100 years. Oliver Stone would be an excellent choice, given he’s already written one nutty conspiracy film, JFK, and he’s a radical lefty to boot.

But I think Ron Howard is the Committee’s man to write this blockbuster. Cocoon meets Apollo 13? Can’t wait for the opening.

The Final Nail in the Coffin of Mask Hysteria Emerges

Bonchie reporting for RedState

I’ll admit, I’ve enjoyed not writing about COVID-19 lately. After almost two years of touching on the subject on a daily basis, it’s been several weeks since I’ve penned a piece dealing with the coronavirus pandemic. That’s obviously because the pandemic is over for all intents and purposes. Vaccines are available for those who want them and the lion’s share of Americans now have immunity via prior infection as well.

That hasn’t stopped the hysterics from desperately clinging to their narratives, though. Dr. Anthony Fauci, who had been missing in action until the last few days, is back with warnings of more mask mandates.

Then there are the way-too-online members of the medical establishment who apparently value their social media followings over being honest with people.

But while those who have made mask-wearing a symbol of religious virtue keep spreading their message, reality continues to provide a different response to those who insist masking is a vital part of COVID-spread prevention. The latest bit of evidence to that effect comes from South Korea, and it will likely represent the final nail in the coffin of mask hysteria.

To understand why I say that, recall that South Korea is a country that has long been held up as a model for how to fight COVID-19. Already possessing a culture of compliance, widespread mask-usage in the Asian country pre-existed the pandemic, and once the coronavirus hit, that kicked into high gear. Mask mandates were dutifully followed by almost all South Korean residents, and social distancing was implemented.

And for a while, it seemed to work. Whenever someone wanted to down the United States’ response to the coronavirus, South Korea was a favorite comparison to make. But as with New Zealand, it appears the inevitable was just being delayed by strict social distancing measures, which are effective but are also highly damaging to the physical, mental, and economic wellbeing of people.

To illustrate that, you only have to look at what’s currently happening in South Korea. Despite the nation’s best efforts, it is on the verge of catching up to the United States in cumulative COVID cases.

If masks are highly effective, or even marginally effective, at preventing the spread of COVID-19, how could that be? Why don’t we see South Korea’s caseload still magnitudes less compared to the United States, where some areas ditched masks over a year ago?

The simple answer is this: Masks do not work in any significant way to stop the spread of COVID-19, and even the proliferation and common usage of N95s has not helped in places like South Korea. In the end, an airborne virus is going to do what an airborne virus does, and no amount of facial decoration will prevent that. Some of us have been pointing that out via studies and real-world data for years now, and we were scorned as wanting to kill grandma. But we were right, and we were right during the Delta wave as well, with even studies back then showing little efficacy.

For the hysterics, though, the beat goes on. They are going to cling to their useless face diapers because there’s power in pushing COVID mitigation. It’s up to the rest of us to ignore them, and if they are elected officials, to vote them out of office.

The Most Important Thing to Remember in the Lia Thomas Debate

The Most Important Thing to Remember in the Lia Thomas Debate

AP Photo/John Bazemore

My colleagues here have written some solid opinion pieces on the Lia Thomas situation, and I wanted to echo their sentiments as well as add my own .02 on the matter just for the record.

I sometimes feel like I’m in an alternative reality when I’m writing about the topic of transgender women in women’s sports, locker rooms, etc., because, for starters, it’s astonishing to me that the radical activists who are pushing for this don’t appear to be able to see the inherent danger in what they’re doing, how if these gender identity concepts are allowed to go unchecked, unchallenged, and are fully implemented at all levels of society, on down the line women’s rights as we know them will cease to exist for future generations of young girls.

That’s a terrifying thought, especially when you consider what early feminists in this country marched for (which is nothing like the hell modern so-called “feminism” hath wrought, but that’s a story for another day): A seat at the table, to be treated as equal (not better, not superior, but equal) to any man when it came to their contributions to society, no matter what forms their contributions took.

Simply put, they fought to be listened to and taken seriously, not just treated as the rambling little young/old lady who was merely being humored by her supposed intellectual betters in the room when she spoke of topics polite society said she didn’t have the capability to understand.

Well, guess what’s happening now?

Remarkably, that very same scenario is playing out as we speak. Any woman – even those who have been highly regarded in the past as feministand/or LGBT icons – who speaks out against the allowance of biological males in women’s sports gets told to shut up, sit down, and stay in their lane – and the shutuppery is coming from the very side of the aisle who just a few years ago repeatedly shouted through their megaphones about how the GOP was waging a “war on women” because of pro-life bills and judges who appeared to share that philosophy who were being confirmed.

But when you think about it, the real “war on women” is not in the debate over abortion. The real “war on women” is in the transgender/identity politics debate, where outspoken women or women who want to speak out but who are afraid to are once again being patted on the head and silenced by men – “feminist” men on the left, their Useful Idiot female counterparts like AOC, as well as transgender women who were born males.

I wanted to share what I have found in this debate to be one of the most absolutely illuminating quotes that came from a high-profile transgender woman, a quote that I think well and truly sums up how dangerous this movement portends for biological women decades from now

Laverne Cox, an actress who was born a male but who identifies as a female, went on a Twitter rant several years ago and tried justifying his/her position on the issue based in part on his/her belief that there were no experiences women go through that were unique to them:

I guess according to Cox, everyone on earth can have babies, menstrual cycles, and all the other characteristics universally associated with being a female, like being the primary victims of sexual assault, rape, and spousal/partner abuse.

Folks, let me break this down for you: Not only is this just inarguably wrong based on science, but this is also the very definition of the dreaded “cultural appropriation“ the left has told us is so bigoted (but apparently not as it relates to transgender women), which is defined by the folks at Everyday Feminism to mean (bolded emphasis added):

In short: Cultural appropriation is when somebody adopts aspects of a culture that’s not their own.

But that’s only the most basic definition.

A deeper understanding of cultural appropriation also refers to a particular power dynamic in which members of a dominant culture take elements from a culture of people who have been systematically oppressed by that dominant group.

So we have men (the “dominant culture”) “taking elements” from women who have historically as a group been “oppressed” by this “dominant culture.” And yet we’re supposed to act like guys transitioning to girls and then appropriating their culture/sports/lives is okay, and then shut up and respect this in the name of tolerance, equality, and getting along?

I don’t think so.

In essence, here’s what Cox did: A biological male who now identifies as a woman mansplained to women that there is nothing “universally” unique about their experiences as females. This must be why Cox wanted to identify as one or something.

I hope I’m not the only one who finds this line of argument to be deeply disturbing and a direct threat to women’s rights.

In closing, what’s the most important thing to remember in this debate? That we mustn’t be silent on this, because the only way these radical ideas will flourish is if good people sit idly by and do nothing, either thinking it will pass or thinking they’d rather stay out of it for fear of being “canceled.”

Think about it. Conservatives now own the CRT debate, as there are many parts of the country where CRT was implemented or was attempted to be implemented but educators pulled back due to the outcry from concerned parents, people who were unafraid to speak up because they knew their children’s futures were on the line. Conservatives and like-minded folks stood firm on this, and their hard work is paying off.

The same scenario can play out in the transgender debate, too, but only if people are willing to do the hard work and stand up against it – and with no apologies. I hate to sound cliche here, but the futures of young girls depends on what happens now. People can mumble and grumble from the sidelines or they can make sure their voices get heard, loud and proud. It’s just as simple as that.

Bloomberg Has Inflation Advice for Proles Making Less Than $300k – Shut Up, Eat Lentils, Ride the Bus, Kill Your Pets

You might wonder what the ruling class thinks of how inflation is hitting middle America.   For insight into their perspective, Bloomberg News just published some suggestions for all the unwashed masses – as defined as those who don’t earn $300,000 per year.

The advice includes, shut up about the price of food, and eat lentils instead of meat. Quit bitching about gasoline prices, and just ride the bus, and the coup de grâce, “If you’re one of the many Americans who became a new pet owner during the pandemic, you might want to rethink those costly pet medical needs.”

Yeah, they said that.  Us pesky proles and our pets are just mucking up the planet for the rest of them.

Tweet Source Link – Article Link ]

The ‘inflation sucks, but that’s your issue, not ours’ article is authored by Teresa Ghilarducci.  According to her self-described bio, she “is the Schwartz Professor of Economics at the New School for Social Research. She’s the co-author of “Rescuing Retirement” and a member of the board of directors of the Economic Policy Institute.”

So, the think-tank economists who shape policy have a solution for all the complaining scrubs earning less than $300,000/yr who are now dealing with the inflation that leftist policy has created.  The elitist arrogance, in the “no one said this would be fun” approach, is quite remarkable.  However, it does show the snob-set no longer feel the need to filter their elitism.

The class gap has always existed, and whenever leftist policies are in place, that gap gets wider every second.

It would appear that somewhere in the recesses of Ms. Ghilarducci’s frontal cortex, she has snuffed out the glowing ember of the common sense particle given by her parents.  In the brain of the Bloomberg author, the synapse for the common sense particle was pinched between the ‘Smarter than thou tumor‘ and the expanding grey brain matter of moral relativity needed to sit and type this bulls**t.

Within her diatribe, you can see the author is lacking a guilt hypothalamus, which removes any feeling of being uncomfortable in her elitist pontifications. She types away, without a clue, as the party groupthink metastasizes in her brain.

The working class really, I mean REALLY, needs to stop servicing the group who hold this mentality.  I’ve said this before and I’ll repeat it again. Don’t do their shopping, don’t make them coffee, don’t pick up their trash, don’t clean their pools, cook their meals, accept their laundry or dry cleaning, or facilitate any process in their lives.

Don’t serve them, don’t wait on them, don’t deliver to them; instead, make them do everything themselves, and you know what will happen – they’ll collapse.
