Big Mother’s Smothering Protection of Little Joseph

A strong leader would ask Big Mother to stop interfering on his behalf.

We’ve all seen it before. Two children collide on the soccer field. Little Joseph loses his footing and hits the grass. The next second, an hysterical woman charges onto the field to scream at the other child, the referee, and anyone who asks her to calm down. Little Joseph is or should be humiliated at having his mommy fight his battles for him. His mother bellows for justice citing the “rules” which seem only to matter when they help little Joseph.

That kind of scene comes to mind as our digital “Big Mother,” has intervened yet again to protect America’s frail little Joseph. As many know, the chant, “Let’s go Brandon!” has become an expression of contempt for big media’s attempt to recast the now common, “F*** Joe Biden!” chant that now dominates so many Saturday sports venues. A reporter recently told viewers that the chant was actually for a NASCAR figure, Brandon Brown, not for the president.

Soon, Rapper Bryson Gray produced a wildly viral video repeating the chant. The artist also claimed that “they” use the COVID-19 pandemic as a pretext to censor and oppress. YouTube, an arm of “Big Mother,” deleted the video to control “misinformation.” Nothing like censorship to reassure the public that we’re still free. Don’t badmouth little Joseph. Big Mother is watching.

The censorship follows shortly on the heels of a decision from Big Mother’s election “fairness” arm, the Federal Elections Commission. In that case, the FEC ruled that Twitter and Facebook did not interfere in the election by censoring accurate and truthful reporting on the Hunter Biden laptop story which revealed solid evidence of Biden family influence peddling in Ukraine, China, and other countries. Big Mother also told the public that the evidence was just Russian disinformation—a complete lie. No matter, Big Mother’s FEC dutifully protected little Joseph. According to the New York Times, “The election commission determined that Twitter’s actions regarding the Hunter Biden article had been undertaken for a valid commercial reason, not a political purpose, and were thus allowable.”

Early in the election cycle, “Big Mother” coordinated to destroy one of the funniest Meme artists around, Carpe Donktum, when the comedic genius mocked CNN’s fetish for race themed stories and when he borrowed a Nickelback video to highlight a photo depicting Little Joseph in a golfing party with his son and Ukrainian oligarchs. All of what was depicted was true. But it was harmful to Little Joseph. So “Big Mother” interceded.

Big Mother works tirelessly to protect us from off-script information, excuse me, “misinformation.” In May, Facebook cracked down on the “misinformation” claim that a runner had trouble breathing during an 800 meter race due to a required facemask. Was Big Mother concerned that the information wasn’t true? Video of the runner shows her absurdly trying to run with the mask on. Or did Big Mother just want to stop mockery of the excessive facemask restrictions? Big Mother doesn’t have to answer your questions.

Until May of this year, Big Mother censored anyone who suggested that COVID might have originated from a lab in China and not from a weird Wuhan wet market. Big Mother continues to censor anyone who questions the effectiveness or safety of vaccines. Nothing builds confidence in an experimental vaccine like censoring people who raise questions about it.

Unlike the little Joseph on the soccer field, the Joseph in the White House has actually taken to encouraging, even demanding that Big Mother censor voices that contradict his agenda. As noted by the Wall Street Journal, the White House is “flagging problematic posts for Facebook,” and that “It’s been clear for some time that the tech giants look to government to determine what coronavirus-related speech to allow. YouTube’s misinformation policy bans content that contradicts the evolving guidance of ‘health authorities.’”

Big Mother frequently intercedes to “correct” what it calls “misinterpretation” of little Joseph’s misstatements and gaffes. When Biden attended a ceremony receiving the 13 U.S. servicemen who died in the chaos of the Afghanistan withdrawal, Big Mother told everyone not to believe their lying eyes that little Joseph seemed bored and frequently checked his watch.

Nobody wants to mess with Big Mother. She’s a terrifying force. But her smothering protection of little Joseph makes him look weak and dependent. A strong leader would ask his Big Mother to stop. But little Joseph welcomes it.

DESANTIS: ‘A Recession Is When Your Neighbor Loses His Job,’ And ‘A Recovery Is When Dr. Fauci Loses His’

 https://nationalfile.com/desantis-a-recession-is-when-your-neighbor-loses-his-job-and-a-recovery-is-when-dr-fauci-loses-his/

"A recession is when your neighbor loses his job; a depression is when you lose yours; a recovery is when Dr. Fauci loses his."

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) cracked a joke about the infamous incompetence of Biden regime medical advisor Anthony Fauci during an event announced by the governor’s office on Wednesday. DeSantis also announced new election integrity efforts and ridiculed the unpopularity of the Biden regime.

“Because sometimes people will ask me, oh man, how come Florida 84,000 jobs the rest of the country, you know, what could be done to help the rest of the country,” DeSantis said. “And I say, well you know the saying that I always think back, and it’s a little bit of a flourish on how it’s been used previously: ‘A recession is when your neighbor loses his job; a depression is when you lose yours; a recovery is when Dr. Fauci loses his.'”

“We’ve seen how they abused ballot harvesting,” DeSantis said later in the speech, which announced a series of new election integrity measures. “We banned ballot harvesting, but they only counted it as a misdemeanor. We’re gonna make sure ballot harvesting is a third-degree felony in the state of Florida.”

“They would take these drop boxes, and they put them in all kinds of crazy locations,” Desantis continued. “I think that there needs to be more reforms on this. First of all, I don’t even think we should have drop boxes, to be honest with you.” He also noted,“We’re going to do another package of election integrity reforms that is going to make Florida way No. 1 by a long shot anywhere in the country.”

The Life of Brandon

The Life of Brandon

The instant meme is not exactly a new low in American politics, as progressives would have you believe.

There’s a crisis afoot in the land — people are being rude to President Joe Biden.

The trend of anti-Biden protesters chanting or holding signs saying, “F— Joe Biden,” or the cleaner version that has come to signify the same thing, “Let’s go Brandon,” is being portrayed as a new low in American politics.

A recent Washington Post report was headlined, “Biden’s Critics Hurl Increasingly Vulgar Taunts.” It stipulated that presidents have always been the subject of derision and abuse, then claimed, “The current eruption of anti-Biden signs and chants, however, is on another level, far more vulgar, and widespread.”

Really? Put aside all the abuse that presidents were subjected to prior to the digital age, whether John Quincy Adams (“pimp”), Andrew Jackson (“a greater tyrant than Cromwell, Cesar, or Bonaparte”), Martin van Buren (“Martin van Ruin”), Abraham Lincoln (“the original gorilla”), or Theodore Roosevelt (“that damned cowboy”). The last few years weren’t exactly a mannerly period of polite disagreement in our national life.

As Byron York of the Washington Examiner has noted, Donald Trump’s opponents gloried in the F-word, such that without it some of them would have been rendered practically mute. When Robert De Nirointroduced Bruce Springsteen at the 2018 Tony Awards, he used the opportunity to declare: “I’m gonna say one thing. F— Trump.” Cue the standing ovation.

A Los Angeles art gallery had a “F— Trump” exhibit, rapper Eminem led a “F—Trump” call-and-response at a concert in England, and so on.

If lobbing this particular vulgarity is now completely out of bounds, the new progressive rule is “F— you” for me, but not for thee.

After gaining traction with roadside demonstrators outside Biden events and with college football fans, the “F— Joe Biden” chant took an unexpected turn last month. The NASCAR driver Brandon Brown won a race at the Talladega Superspeedway, and the reporter interviewing him misstated a growing “F— Joe Biden” chant in the background as fans saying, “Let’s go Brandon.”

The scene was like something out of the Will Ferrell comedy Talladega NightsA meme was born.

The substitute version of the insult, instantly adopted by the president’s critics, is more lighthearted than the original. Fundamentally, it’s a joke. It is a gibe at Biden, of course, but also at the misreporting of the chant at the raceway, which is taken as a symbol of the media’s ridiculous protectiveness toward Biden.

The chant is also amusingly anodyne, given its provenance. Who can object to cheering on Brandon, whoever he is?

Not everyone appreciates the humor, though. When a Southwest Airlines pilot allegedly spoke the offending phrase over the intercom on a flight with an Associated Press reporter on board, the outrage machine kicked into gear in a particularly blatant display of humorlessness and lack of proportion.

Harvard professor and CNN commentator Juliette Kayyem posted a missive supposedly from another pilot calling for the Southwest pilot and the crew all to be fired on grounds that he must have been too mentally unbalanced to operate the plane.

Asha Rangappa, another CNN commentator and a Yale law professor, compared the pilot’s statement with saying, “Long live ISIS,” as if expressing an anti-Biden sentiment in a jokey way is the same as pledging loyalty to a terror group that would love its acolytes to crash airliners.

Of course, pilots shouldn’t make political announcements on their flights, and it’d be better if no one resorted to public obscenities when referring to Biden, Trump, or any other officeholder. But it’s one of the privileges of living in a democratic age that people can insult the head of state without fear of jail or other punishment.

Anyone who thinks deriding a U.S. president, especially an unpopular one, is breaking new, dangerous ground knows nothing of our history or what it’s like to live in a clamorous continental nation. Partisan insults, vulgar and not, come with the territory.

Lawmakers’ Letter to Garland on Parents Is Pure Gold

Lawmakers' Letter to Garland on Parents Is Pure Gold

Michael Reynolds/Pool via AP

We’ve reported how Attorney General Merrick Garland was grilled by Congress over his controversial memo ordering federal authorities to look into alleged “threats” against school boards. Critics called it an effort to go after parents for objections to the politicized agenda in the schools, like Critical Race Theory.

When Garland was grilled about what he based his decision to initiate federal action upon, he said he relied upon a memo from the National School Boards Association (NSBA) which called parents potential domestic terrorists and asked about employing the Patriot Act against them. But the letter was seriously lacking in actual violent incidents or showing any rationale for federal intervention. Most of the incidents were not violent and involved protected free speech. The NSBA later apologized for the letter and retracted it. Yet Garland is not backing off his effort. When lawmakers grilled Garland, they asked him what actual data he was relying on for his decision beyond the NSBA letter. But he couldn’t provide anything beyond saying there were news reports and basically admitted that he hadn’t verified the data before proceeding.

So the lawmakers gave him a Nov. 1 deadline to provide the data upon which he relied to them. The letter that they sent to Garland asking for the data is pure gold.

“Pursuant to this commitment,” the letter said, citing Garland’s agreement to turn over information, “please provide all evidence you personally used or relied on between Wednesday, September 29, 20201, and Monday, October 4, 2021 – other than the content of the NSBA letter dated Wednesday, September 29, 2021 – that formed the basis for the memo issued by the DOJ dated Monday, October 4th that addressed ‘…harassment, intimidation, and threats of violence against school administrators, board members, teachers, and staff.”

The senators said they specifically chose Nov. 1 as the deadline because it was exactly five days after the hearing.

“Because you were able to distill your evidence and craft a memo that fixed the gaze of the FBI directly on concerned parents across this country in just four days, you should be able to share that evidence with us in the same period of time,” the letter said.

The request was signed by Sens. Ben Sasse, R-Neb., Charles Grassley, R-Iowa, Mike Lee, R-Utah, Tom Cotton, R-Ark., Thom Tillis, R-N.C., Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., and John Kennedy, R-La.,

Now that’s hilarious, but so true. As we all know, nothing in government happens fast. Except, apparently, when the Biden administration wants to go after parents because of their criticism of turning schools into indoctrination centers. Then it seems to happen at rocket speed. As we noted, the Biden White House was also involved in the letter, asking them to add more violent incidents in it. Apparently, there weren’t enough so they couldn’t.

Garland promised the members of the Senate Judiciary Committee that he would provide the information.

But now, the DOJ has failed to do so by the deadline and they have failed to respond to a Fox inquiry as to why they haven’t provided the information.

One has to conclude that it’s hard to provide things that don’t exist and that if he provides false information to Congress, it will go even worse for him.

But it’s incredibly troubling that anyone would begin a federal effort of such magnitude requiring coordination with school boards without actual data to back it up. Not to mention troubling that you would have a federal effort looking into parents who are voicing their opinions on behalf of their children.

Cori Bush's Letter to Joe Manchin Is the Democrat Civil War Moment You've Been Waiting For

Bonchie reporting for RedState

As RedState reported yesterday, Joe Manchin signaled he could scuttle the entirety of Joe Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda. While Democrats had “agreed” to most of his terms in regards to a top-line number, they did so with a variety of budget gimmicks, many of which were used during the Obamacare debacle as well. Namely, projecting the use of multiple years of tax receipts to “pay for” lesser years of various entitlement programs.

In the real world, we call that a Ponzi scheme. In Washington, it’s called business as usual, at least for the left side of the aisle on Capitol Hill. Yet, Manchin wasn’t having it this time, pledging that he will not be voting for a bill that contains such sleight-of-hand.

Naturally, that has the progressive wing apoplectic and led to Cori Bush (who I nominate for craziest Congressional member) launching a vicious attack on Manchin. Truly, it’s one of the most insane statements by a national politician I’ve ever seen.

Let’s just start at the beginning where Bush asserts that “Joe Manchin does not get to dictate the future of the country.” That’s actually correct, but not in the way Bush means it. Manchin is not dictating the future of the country. Rather, 52 duly-elected senators are. The Republican Party does still exist, and they hold 50 seats in the US Senate. Their votes count just as much as Bernie Sanders’ does. That Manchin isn’t voting party-line on Biden’s wildest dreams does not mean the system isn’t working or that a single person is controlling the country. Math is hard, but it’s not that hard.

Bush then continues by inadvertently admitting her biggest problem: She never should have made promises she can’t keep. Missouri is not New York and the United States is not California. Telling voters that she was going to give them nothing but unicorns and rainbows was dishonest. Now, she has to live with her own failure. That’s not on Joe Manchin. That’s on Cori Bush.

Then we get to the Democrat civil war moment you’ve been waiting for.

With Democrats needing Manchin on board to pass absolutely anything at this point, Bush doesn’t try to find common ground. Instead, she laughably accuses him of racism, chauvinism, and xenophobia all in one sentence. Bush then ends by demanding he bend the knee and do what she wants.

Yeah, good luck with that. Manchin knows where his bread is buttered, and it’s not by members of the “squad.” It’s by voters in West Virginia. The more these radicals attack him, the more hardened his opposition is likely to become. Yet, Bush is so intellectually vapid that she can’t even grasp the most basic rule of legislating: When you’ve got no leverage, you do not trash those who have it.

Missouri is not sending its best.

Ted Lieu Makes Eye-Opening Admission to the Media That Conservatives Need to Hear

Ted Lieu Makes Eye-Opening Admission to the Media That Conservatives Need to Hear

House Television via AP

One of the things I hear expressed most often from other conservatives including fellow conservative writers and commentators is the frustration about getting “the message” out, whether it be over proposed legislation/policy ideas or countering false media narratives about conservatives in general.

While conservatives typically fare better in pitching their message to local and regional media outfits, historically they have had an uphill climb in terms of selling that message on a national level. The reason for this is because, unlike the local media outlets who are more closely connected to the people reading/watching their coverage, the national media doesn’t feel a similar responsibility to get things right the first time around, and have few if any compunctions about knowingly running off half-cocked on a story as long as the story “proves” a political/social narrative they want to push.

Worse, those same media outlets rarely feel any obligation to their readers to correct the record after the fact. And even if they do eventually get around to doing so, the damage has already been done – which was the entire point. Mission accomplished.

As frustrating as I know that is, I feel like the tide is turning in favor of conservatives being able to successfully counter liberal narratives on hot button issues. We’ve seen it with Critical Race Theory. I mean think about it. Democrats like Virginia gubernatorial nominee Terry McAuliffe are running away from the idea as fast as they can. NBC News “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd has also shown a desperation to clamp down on the movement against CRT by lying and saying, as McAuliffe has, that it’s not taught in public schools.

CRT has become so toxic now for Democrats thanks to the conservative pushback against it that even the most entrenched and “woke” among them – and their national media allies – are retreating from it in fear. Doesn’t mean the battle has been won; it just means that so far the counter-message to Democrats on this issue has been effective.

The same can be said, in my opinion, on all the hubbub over President Biden’s “Build Back Better” agenda. To be sure, Biden’s a poor seller of his agenda no matter what it is, but try as they might, Democrats are losing the messaging war on it which is why, in part, they can’t get any traction with Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema.

During a presser today with Democratic leaders on the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee including Rep. Ted Lieu, the California Congressman who is also the co-chair of the committee made a rather eye-opening admission/plea that would seem to confirm or at the very least lend credence to my theory that conservatives are winning the messaging wars on key issues of national import.

During the presser, Lieu admitted to the reporters in attendance that Democrats “rely on you” to get out “the truth” about their legislation, and implored them to do so on the Build Back Better agenda so they would have a better chance of selling it:

And we do, in part, rely on all of you to convey the truth and actual facts,” he added. “And if you all want to write about this amazing tax cut for families and children that’s really transformative, that would be really helpful.”

One of his colleagues on the committee Rep. Joe Neguse (Colorado) had a similar message:

“Most of the coverage right now and the better part of the last few months has been on process, which of course, makes sense because we are engaged in a complex legislative process to get these bills across the finish line,” he said. “But that, in some respects obfuscates away from the substance of these incredibly important, consequential pieces of legislation that will have lasting impact on the American people and American families.”

Translations? Come on, media – do what you normally do for us and sell the phony bill of goods to the American people that we have so far been unable to.

If I’m right on this (and y’all know I am – heh), where are conservatives finding the most success in getting out the message?

Fox News, of course, helps to a certain extent – especially when Tucker Carlson gets going on something. But I think the shaming campaigns against fact-checkers and national media reporters have had an impact, forcing some of them to dig a little deeper into the things they report because they know they’re going to get ripped new ones on social media (and at conservative websites like this one) if they don’t.

While that’s actually been the case for years now, over the last couple of years in particular conservatives have fine-tuned things a bit and learned how to better band together to in so many ways force media outlets and fact-checkers to do what they’re supposed to do rather than what their left-wing political leanings (and woke senior editors) urge them to.

Are conservatives always successful in these efforts? No. We’ve still got a long way to go and no matter how successful we become, the media is always going to do their thing – and we need to be prepared for it. But we’re getting better at countering the left by using their own tools against them (the media, fact-checkers, social media and the like). Plus, it doesn’t hurt when Democrats like McAuliffe become their own worst enemies.

Ted Lieu and the other Dems on that committee know they’re losing their grip on the BBB messaging and have now taken to directly imploring the media to step in and play their traditional clean-up role. As far as I’m concerned, that’s as good of a signal as any that conservatives can win messaging battles on a national level as long as they keep their foot on the gas and don’t cede any ground with the media. Because putting on the pressure is the only way some of them will ever learn.

Hijab campaign tweets pulled by Council of Europe after French backlash

Europe's top human rights organisation has pulled posters from a campaign that promoted respect for Muslim women who choose to wear headscarves after provoking opposition in France.

The Council of Europe released the images last week for a campaign against anti-Muslim discrimination.

A slogan on one advert read: "Beauty is in diversity as freedom is in hijab".

Several prominent French politicians condemned the message and argued the hijab did not represent freedom.

But some Muslim women who wear headscarves said the reaction showed a lack of respect for diversity and the right to choose what to wear in France.

France's youth minister, Sarah El Haïry, said she was shocked by one poster, which showed a split image of one women wearing a hijab, and one not.

In an interview on French TV, the minister suggested the poster had encouraged women to wear headscarves. She said this message jarred with the secular values of France, which had expressed its disapproval of the campaign.

On Wednesday, the Council of Europe told the BBC that tweets related to the campaign had been deleted "while we reflect on a better presentation of this project".

A spokesman said the tweets were part of an anti-hate speech campaign led by the inclusion and anti-discrimination department of the Council of Europe.

One of Europe's oldest political organisations, the Council of Europe aims to uphold human rights, democracy and the rule of law. Its activities are distinct from, but partly funded by, the European Union.

The campaign was the product of two online workshops held in September and organised in collaboration with Femyso, a forum of Muslim youth organisations across Europe.

The wording of the campaign "reflected individual statements from people who took part in one of the project's workshops", the Council of Europe spokesman said.

The spokesman said the messaging did not reflect the position of the Council of Europe or its secretary-general, Marija Pejcinovic Buric.

The president of Femyso, Hande Taner, defended the campaign on Wednesday in an interview with the BBC.

She said "the campaign itself is still on" but added: "As for why the tweet was deleted, I can't speak on behalf of the Council of Europe."

Ms Taner said it was "really sad that the efforts of minority youth are being attacked and undermined" by politicians.

White House Occupant Claims U.S. Wages are Growing Faster Than Inflation

The gibbering and cognitively disconnected teleprompter reader who currently occupies the White House reads from a script today prepared for him by people who know he is disposable.

That is the most logical reason why Joe Biden could brazenly attempt to claim today that “wages have gone up faster than inflation.”  WATCH:

According to the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) in September alone inflation:

“increased 4.4 percent from one year ago. Energy prices increased 24.9 percent while food prices increased 4.1 percent. ” (link)

Meanwhile according to the Bureau of Labor and Statistics, wages increased 0.7% year over year.   Inflation is six times higher than wage growth.

Democrat Voters are Among the Most Gullible People on Earth

Finally! A machine designed to measure IQ level in Democrats. Just deposit $100.00 for your answer

Article by Steve McCann in The American Thinker

Democrat Voters are Among the Most Gullible People on Earth

The primary reason the United States finds itself in its current predicament is the vast number of credulous and mis-educated Americans who, over the past two decades, have blindly pledged their undying allegiance to the current iteration of Democrat party.  They do so because they have been willingly duped into believing that the political opposition, conservatives and Republicans, are the personification of evil who are hellbent on transforming the nation into a dystopian nightmare.

The philosophical underpinnings of the Democrat party or the falsehoods its elected members regurgitate are immaterial to their voters, as long as this dire threat, as personified by Donald Trump in 2020, is vanquished by any and all means possible, including unconstrained voter fraud and manipulation.

It was this mindset that foisted upon the nation a senescent Joe Biden in the White House and left-wing ideologues in Congress.

The landscape of America today is littered with innumerable crises that, taken together, have the potential to permanently marginalize and transform the country.  Nearly all the current fiascos are deliberately and openly being fomented by the American left and its wholly owned subsidiary the Democrat party, secure in the knowledge that once the nation is permanently set on the track of a one-party fascist oligarchy there is no turning back.

Yes, a fascist oligarchy.  While mindlessly voting for Democrat candidates, the bulk of these easily exploitable voters do not comprehend that the philosophical underpinning of the American left, and thus the Democrat party, is a proprietary strain of fascism with its roots in Marxism.

Fascism is socialism/Marxism with a veneer of capitalism.  Whereas pure communism advocates the abolishment of all market relations outright, fascism leaves the appearance of market relations while planning all economic activities with favored state-sanctioned unions and corporations.  Whereas communism essentially abolishes money and prices, fascism controls the monetary system and for all intents and purposes sets prices and wages politically.

Under fascism, the state, through official agencies, controls all aspects of manufacturing, commerce, finance, and agriculture, even though ownership remains in private hands.  For all practical purposes, near-universal government licensing exists, as essentially no economic activity can be undertaken without de facto government permission.  Levels of consumption are dictated by the state, and “excess” income and wealth must be surrendered as taxes.

The concept of a corporate state has been a staple of the American left since Franklin Roosevelt, an early admirer of fascism.  It was FDR that initiated the National Labor Relations Board to make the federal government the final arbiter in labor issues.  The National Recovery Act governed all aspects of manufacturing and commerce and the Agricultural Adjustment Act introduced central planning to agriculture.

Beginning in the 1960’s, the American left took as their foundational tenet rampant anti-Americanism.  However, as the economic seeds of fascism were already planted and generally accepted by a sizable segment of the populace, it was a short leap, therefore, to become proponents of the economic precepts of one of Marxism’s closest cousins.

Barack Obama, marinated in this stew since his childhood, is chiefly responsible for a hybrid of fascism evolving into the dominant philosophy of the Democrat party.  During his two terms as president, he was successful in advancing the tenets of this distinctive American political movement by adding one important ingredient.  Obama orchestrated the confluence of the economic tenets of fascism and the narcissistic anti-Americanism of the 1960’s with the race-based philosophies and tactics the Nazis used in their rise to power in the 1920’s and early 1930’s.

Among the tactics promoted by Obama in common with the Nazis are:

  1. An obsession with race.  The Nazis maliciously and falsely claimed that the supposed inferiority of various racial groups throughout Europe was responsible for all the theoretical ills of society.  In the United States, the left blames non-existent “systemic racism” by the White population for American society’s theoretical ills.
  2. “Identity politics” or the promulgation of grievance-riddled polices by government favored groups against unfavored groups in order to destabilize society.  Hitler fomented anger at Jews in Germany and in America the left isolates white, heterosexual Christians.
  3. “Wokeism” or “cancel culture.”  The Nazis staged book burnings and incessant public and media intimidation to shut down any person, publication or institution that did not align with accepted ideology.  In America the left uses incessant social and mainstream media intimidation to do the same.
  4. The Nazis manipulated a willingly allied German mainstream media to relentlessly regurgitate outright lies, fabrications and propaganda in order to indoctrinate and deceive the populace.  The American Left currently manipulates a willingly allied American mainstream media to do the same.  Per Nazi dogma:  “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. …[as] the truth is the greatest enemy of the state.”
  5. Both the Nazis and the Democrats established a financially beneficial rapport with the corporate class.  In Germany it was the industrialists and in America Wall Street and Silicon Valley billionaires.  Both authoritarian parties did so by promising the corporate class they would be left alone and given near monopoly status if they mindlessly and generously supported the Party.
  6.  The Nazis mobilized the Brown Shirts to provoke street riots, property damage and gratuitous violence in order to intimidate the populace and marginalize the opposition.  Their American counterparts have done the same with Antifa and Black Lives Matter.
  7. Both the Nazis and the American left fabricated or grossly exaggerated events, such as the Reichstag fire in 1933 or January 6, 2021, in order to turn the citizenry against their political opposition and justify an expansion of their political and police power.

Among the contemporary end-products of these Nazi-originated tactics is the political persecution and jailing without trial the January 6th defendants charged with simple misdemeanors and the ongoing premeditated abuse of government mandates to exploit the Covid-19 pandemic.  Both tactics are aimed at browbeating the citizenry into meekly accepting a quasi-police state.

In the furtherance of fascist economic policy of centralized planning and control with a veneer of capitalism, the American left and the Democrat party have become closely aligned with and supported by favored unions and major corporations in pharmaceuticals, banking, finance, social media, health care and the media/entertainment complex.  All the while undermining new business creation and destroying existing small businesses as well as major corporations not in lockstep with the regime.

The purpose of “Build Back Better Act” currently winding its way through Congress is to expand control of people’s lives by reshaping and permanently putting control of all aspects of the economy in the hands of politicians and bureaucrats.

Despite decades of unprecedented prosperity and access to information, far too many Democrat voters are among the most gullible people on earth.  By mindlessly voting for the Democrats, these same fools are complicit in denigrating the nation’s founding, denying its accomplishments, and degrading the future for their progeny, all the while incomprehensibly ignoring and downplaying how their own world-leading standard of living came to be.

With so many not knowing who or what they are voting for, it is little wonder that the United States faces so many crises today.

Will Hungary and Poland be the Next Victims of US/EU Regime Change?

flags

No country is safe from the Eye of Sauron that is the modern-day American national security state. Even some of the US’s ostensible allies can’t escape its all-seeing eye. Hungary and Poland, both members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), have faced significant criticism from the chattering classes of DC and Brussels in recent years. While on the campaign trail, President Joe Biden compared countries such as Hungary and Poland to “totalitarian regimes.” Moreover, former president Barack Obama declared that both countries are “essentially authoritarian” despite being “functioning democracies” not too long ago.

Similarly, Mark Rutte the prime minister of the Netherlands, has gone as far as to call for the expulsion of Hungary from the EU for its recent passage of a law that would criminalize the promotion or portrayal of sex reassignment or homosexuality to Hungarians younger than the age of eighteen in media content.

As for Poland, several of its municipalities and regions have passed largely symbolic “LGBT-free” resolutions in opposition to several of the excesses of the cultural Left. Like Hungary, Poland’s traditionalist moves have ruffled feathers in the West. They even drew a harsh rebuke from the Trump-appointed US ambassador to Poland, Georgette Mosbacher, who boldly proclaimed Poland was “on the wrong side of history” in 2020.

Beyond cultural matters, Poland is in a long-standing tiff with the European Commission over its judicial affairs. Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party (PiS) insists Poland has exclusive authority over judicial questions, while Brussels maintains that EU laws trump the laws of member countries. The European Commission doubled down by callingon the EU’s main court to fine Poland for daring to not follow Brussel's managerial script.

It’s amusing how politicians, journalists, and NGO mouthpieces from the world’s premier superpower and the Continent’s supranational political union would launch a two-minute hate campaign against countries within their alliance structures. After all, we’re supposed to be living in the “end of history,” when liberal democracy is supposed to resoundingly triumph against illiberalism. However, social engineers in the West cannot appreciate true diversity when it comes to the way countries handle their own affairs. Some countries will not bend to the universalistic whims of outsiders.

As members of the Visegrad Group—a contrarian bloc of countries within the EU made up of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia—Hungary and Poland have differentiated themselves from their Atlanticist peers in how they have not bought into some of the obsessions with multiculturalism, mass migration, and alternative lifestyle habits most Western democracies vigorously promote both in the state and corporate sectors. Similarly, Hungarian and Polish leaders’ constant reminders to their constituents that they belong to a broader Western Christian civilization further enrages the lifeless technocrats in Brussels, who worship at the altar of managerialism.

To be sure, the legislation the two Visegrad Group members have passed is perhaps controversial to the interventionists who want to turn every political jurisdiction into a facsimile of Brussels and Washington. As controversial as the two Visegrad Group countries’ moves may be, it’s hyperbolic to suggest that Poland and Hungary are sliding into some form of twentieth-century totalitarianism. Both countries count on parliamentary systems to elect leaders and pass legislation. Contrast that to the EU—a political behemoth filled with tons of unelected bureaucrats who constantly impose regulations and arbitrary edicts on otherwise sovereign nations.

If anything, so-called liberal Europe should be explaining itself for its hate speech laws and other regulations that impede people’s freedom of expression, not to mention the wrong-headed green energy policies that prevent EU member nations from having access to cheap and reliable energy sources.

In terms of political economy, Hungary and Poland are interesting cases. While they’re no free market luminaries, they’re ranked fifty-fifth(Hungary) and forty-first (Poland), according to the Heritage Foundation’s Index for Economic Freedom, which means they haven’t completely gone off the market path and still nominally protect property rights. These countries do shine in a handful of instances. For example, Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán has repeatedly stood up against tax harmonization efforts—a euphemism for corporate tax hikes. Hungary’s corporate tax rate hovers around 9 percent, a tax burden that is one of the lowest on the European Continent. On the energy front, Hungary and Poland aren’t sipping on the green energy Kool-Aid. Both the Hungarian and Polish political leadership have had choice words for the EU’s energy policies, further showcasing their dissenting streaks.

Despite all the evidence showing that Hungary and Poland are not totalitarian countries by any stretch of the imagination, there’s reason to believe liberal internationalists in the West will continue harassing them. Hungary is a particularly easy target due to an assortment of reasons that go beyond its domestic politics. Hungary’s clever use of geopolitical balancing and courting countries like Russia and China will definitely not make it any friends in Brussels and Washington, DC. Hungary has been open to working economically with both countries, which have had increasingly deteriorating relations with the West. With regard to China, Hungary previously blocked an EU statement when China decided to crack down on Hong Kong, much to the consternation of the EU and the international NGO-industrial complex.

Reasonable people, even outsiders, can have disagreements with foreign governments’ actions. But calling for wholesale regime change—be it through subversion or outright interventionism—is simply delusional. The resulting destabilization just creates additional problems and other unforeseen consequences that foreign policy tinkerers could never anticipate. But here’s the thing: when talking about foreign policy, we’re dealing with people who have long taken leave of their senses. Truth be told, there’s not much rational thinking going on in those spaces.

It would be inaccurate to view the US as a world power that exclusively uses brute force. Just as it operates domestically, the US state can turn to a combination of vigorous hard power and clever soft power to make wayward actors submit. The infamous “color revolutions”—movements that intelligence agencies, NGOs, and assorted domestic actors use to interfere in foreign elections with the purpose of generating an electoral crisis—are one of many tools the US deep state and its EU allies could use to harass wayward states and compel them to submit to their will.

Covertly mixing it up with Hungary and Poland would serve as solid tune-up fights for an empire that has faced recent reversals abroad in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq. The irony here is that the US would be subverting two countries that are in its alliance network. As long as liberal internationalist zealots slither across the halls of Congress, one can only expect continued regime change efforts. All corners of the globe are fair game at this point.

A sea change in the way foreign policy decision-makers view the world is a prerequisite for any correction to take place in the way America conducts foreign affairs. If the status quo persists, the interventionist cabal in DC will always find ways to harass and destabilize nations abroad.
