Wokification Alert: Students at UCLA Claim Automatic Soap Dispensers Are Racist

Wokification Alert: Students at UCLA Claim Automatic Soap Dispensers Are Racist

Gee, ya think we should put them soap dispensers on trial?

No, really. Automatic soap dispensers are “racist.” Look, as I said the other day, there’s an easy way to simplify this whole “woke” thing: if “it” exists and “white people” do “it,” use “it,” enjoy “it,” or have anything to do with “it,” then “it” is “racist,” “white supremacist,” or both.

Again, America, automatic soap dispensers are guilty of “systemic racism.”

Sulivan Israel, a civil engineering student at the University of California, Los Angeles, wrote in an op-ed for The College Fix that he recently took part in an online debate about “systemic racism,” in which some of his classmates actually made the charge against hateful automatic soap dispensers. Not one or two, or a few bad apples (soap dispensers), mind you, but the entire “racist” “demographic.” Oh, the (black) humanity!

Check it out:

“What comes to mind when you hear the term systemic racism? Perhaps Jim Crow-era laws or banks’ redlining policies?

“Well, I’ve got a new one you can add to the list: soap dispensers.

“Yes, you read that correctly. According to a recent online debate on “systemic racism” put on by the Bruin Republicans that I attended, soap dispensers are proof that white people are systemically racist against black people, according to some of my peers.

“But it’s not just any dispensers, mind you. It’s those high-tech automatic ones.”

You’re on the edge of your seat, aren’t you, waiting to find out what’s racist about automatic soap dispensers? Neither was I. But still, obviously, I checked out the idiocy or you wouldn’t be about to do the same. You’re welcome.

Here’s more from the civil engineering student.

“The reason is simple.

“As one UCLA student claimed during the debate, automatic soap dispensers “don’t see her hands” due to the dark pigment of her skin.

“As another student reiterated, soap dispensers are racist because they force “black and brown bodies” to show their palms — “the only light areas of the skin” — in order to get soap out.

“I’m not joking.”

So here’s where it gets stoopid [sic], and Sullivan Israel should know — given the engineering thing. (Emphasis, mine.)

“First of all, let me just debunk the basis of this claim: for anyone who doesn’t know, the sensors on soap dispensers don’t see human hands; they don’t have eyes.

“They work using a simple device called a PIR sensor that recognizes infrared light, which is emitted by all people, regardless of color (as long as they’re not dead).”

Then it gets really stoopid. [sic]

“The point here isn’t how a soap dispenser works,” Israel wrote. “It’s the idea that students at UCLA actually thought that they were designed with white supremacy in mind.” (Gee, I wonder who’s responsible for indoctrinating them with that nonsensical crap?)

“The obvious objection is that systemic racism isn’t a conspiracy because it doesn’t fit the definition. But followers of systemic racism blame it on everything, like it’s an omnipresent boogeyman.

“They use it to explain any outcome they dislike, facts and data aside. Its believers cite their ‘lived experience’ as proof enough. I hear it on campus all the time.

“The worst part about this ideology is that it obscures real racism and actual problems we continue to face as a nation, including the continued marginalization of many groups across this country, including so-called ‘black and brown’ people.”

As I and others have suggested, countless times, ridiculous charges of racism like this one only serve to delegitimize or “dilute” real racism. Israel made the same point.

“When people rant and rave about soap dispensers, it delegitimizes claims of racism when racism actually occurs.

“Of course, there are still racists in this country — I have met some myself. In fact, I have faced real anti-Semitism throughout my life.”

The wise words of a college student with his head screwed on straight rather than up his also speak to the issue of police actions by white cops against black “victims.”

We are seeing that on an almost weekly basis.

The bottom line.

If everything is “racist” — as the Democrat Party would have us black people believe — to the extent of the delegitimization of real racism, in the eyes of the general public, how does that help black Americans? It doesn’t; it hurts black America.

And perhaps the worst part of all is the Democrat Party doesn’t give a damn about that. When your sole objective is political expediency — with one eye on the ballot box, 24×7, why would you? As the old adage says, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

Too many black Americans have willingly become “useful idiots” of the elitist left.

As Dragão1 wrote, above, I’m “so done with this sh*t,” too. Millions of Americans of all colors are. The problem is, “this sh*t” isn’t “so done” with us. Not even close.

French woman officer dead in knife attack on police in Rambouillet

A French police officer has been fatally stabbed in a knife attack at a police station in Rambouillet, south-west of Paris.

The 36-year-old attacker, who reportedly came to France from Tunisia several years ago, was shot and later died in hospital.

The stabbing took place in the entrance hall on Friday afternoon and no motive has yet been given for the attack.

The 49-year-old unarmed female officer was stabbed in the neck.

She was returning from her break shortly after 14:00 (12:00 GMT) when the man entered the police station, according to local reports.

He lunged at the officer and her colleagues then opened fire on him.

Prime Minister Jean Castex and Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin were heading to the scene.

Senate Republicans Just Handed Matches to Arsonist

Republicans aren’t just flat-footed in opposition, they are
complicit in empowering this destructive regime.

One of the most fateful decisions of Donald Trump’s presidency happened just weeks after Inauguration Day.

In March 2017, Republican lawmakers joined Democrats to demand Jeff Sessions, a former Senate colleague and Trump’s new attorney general, recuse himself from anything related to the investigation into alleged Russian election collusion. Sessions’ two brief meetings in 2016 with Russian ambassador Sergei Kislyak—a figure who appeared often in collusion-related drama—amounted to evidence of collusion, collusion perps insisted.

Senators Rob Portman (R-Ohio) and Susan Collins (R-Maine) were just a few top Republicans who asked Sessions to step aside—so he did.

Sessions’ recusal put the Justice Department safely back in the hands of anti-Trump operatives just as their malfeasance was being exposed by Representative Devin Nunes (R-Calif.). The cover-up of how the agency targeted Donald Trump and his campaign associates was secure while top officials deflected attention to the concocted Russian collusion hoax.

For an added punch, the same Republicans successfully pushed for a House ethics probe into Nunes, which sidelined his work for eight months until he was cleared of any wrongdoing.

A few months later, Republicans fiercely backed the appointment of a special counsel to investigate Trump’s alleged collusion with the Russians; Robert Mueller was appointed on May 17, 2017.

And with that, any hope of cleaning house at a Justice Department teeming with Obama henchmen was gone.

Republicans, perhaps intentionally, blew a once-in-a-generation opportunity to fumigate a wholly corrupt law enforcement agency amid emerging evidence it had used powerful government tools against the duly elected incoming president of the United States.

It’s impossible to think of a greater abdication of political power in recent history. Despite sending harsh letters and making empty threats, Senate Republicans completely surrendered and the lasting consequences of their cowardice will haunt the country for years.

And they’re doing it again—but this time, it’s worse.

Bipartisanship for Suckers

On Wednesday, 48 Republican senators—including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and two former chairmen of the Senate Judiciary Committee—voted to confirm Lisa Monaco as Biden’s deputy attorney general. (Senators Rand Paul of Kentucky and Ted Cruz of Texas voted no.)

Monaco, as I explained here, is an Obama confidante who played a key role in perpetuating the myth about Russian collusion both before and after the 2016 election. The former chief of staff to Robert Mueller when he headed Obama’s FBI and then Obama’s homeland security advisor, Monaco has been a harsh critic of Trump and Republican policies over the past four years. She backs a “whole of government” approach to combating domestic terrorists, code for Americans who support Donald Trump.

Not a single Republican senator should have supported Monaco’s nomination. Her confirmation hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee last month should have featured GOP senators demanding answers about her involvement in the collusion hoax and assurances she would not use her broad authority to keep targeting people on the Right. GOP members should have blasted the department’s already abusive investigation into January 6 and warned that continued overreach would face concerted pushback.

Those same recriminations and threats should have been repeated from the Senate floor before the full vote.

But none of that happened.

Instead, Republicans rewarded Monaco with a near-unanimous confirmation vote. With Garland as a mere figurehead—20 Republican senators backed his nomination, too—Monaco now takes the reins of a Justice Department continuing to avenge the 2016 election of Donald Trump.

In fact, on the same day Monaco was confirmed, the Justice Department announced the arrest of yet another nonviolent January 6 protester charged with 10 counts of various trespassing and disorderly conduct offenses.

To make matters worse, Senator Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska)—unpunished by leadership for routinely siding with Democrats including a vote against Brett Kavanaugh in 2018—was the decisive vote to confirm Vanita Gupta, Obama’s former civil division head, as associate attorney general, the third spot at the department. In a rare moment of courage, Senate Republicans fought Gupta’s nomination over her radical leftist views and for saying mean things about them. (Apparently, the only time Senate Republicans oppose Biden picks is if they’ve made or tweeted nasty comments about Senate Republicans. McConnell whined Gupta had “levied attacks on members of this body.” Oh, no!)

Why Bother With Republicans?

With Garland, Monaco, and Gupta safely installed atop the Justice Department and Avril Haines as director of national intelligence—35 GOP senators voted to put her in charge of the intelligence community despite her close ties to former CIA director John Brennan, among other problems—Republicans can expect worse than unkind words directed at them. (Haines, as I wrote here, wasted no time exceeding her authority to target Americans involved in the January 6 protest. That didn’t stop Senate Republicans from absolutely swooning over her during a recent hearing.)

Rather than act as any sort of barrier to protect America from the arsonist-in-chief hellbent on burning down every tradition, constitutional guardrail, and notion of common decency owed to fellow Americans, Senate Republicans are handing Joe Biden the matches. They’ve made it easy for Biden to put together the team he wants, greenlighting with barely a fight his deeply partisan allies now in full control of vengeful federal agencies.

Only one Biden appointee—Neera Tanden—has been successfully scuttled. Susan Collins, reelected last year to another six-year term, has voted to confirm every Biden nominee. Murkowski has voted for all but one (Xavier Bacerra as secretary of Health and Human Services).

Senators Rob Portman and Mitt Romney (R-Utah) have voted for all but three Biden picks. McConnell, Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), Mike Rounds (R-S.D.), and Shelley Moore Capito (R-W.V.) have voted for the overwhelming majority of Biden appointees.

Only a handful of Republican senators have shown any guts; Senators Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), Ted Cruz, Rick Scott (R-Texas), Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), and Rand Paul have voted against most of Biden’s nominees. (But shame on Hawley, Scott, and Cotton for voting yes on Monaco.)

Contrast that record with what happened during Trump’s first few months in office; by April 2017, his cabinet nominees had received the most “no” votes in presidential history.

Joe Biden, his administration, and congressional Democrats haven’t wasted any time in their effort to radically transform the country, not to mention stoke a dangerous race war. Republicans aren’t just flat-footed in opposition, they are complicit in empowering this destructive regime.

It’s hard to see why rank-and-file Republicans should keep sending the same craven bunch of leftist accomplices to Washington. Maybe one day, they’ll stop.

Horowitz: Why I’m now in favor of abolishing the police

Now that we only have mob rule,
the police will be used against us

The KKK would be proud. Their version of street justice and terrorizing jurors with threats worked splendidly in the Chauvin trial. Now that we only have mob rule, why even have police, who can only be used against We the People but not to defend us?

The standard of evidence in our post-constitutional mob rule is not "guilty beyond a reasonable doubt," but ensuring that Black Lives Matter doesn't come to the juror's house and lynch his family. That is essentially the message to America. If the political system, the media, and the street mobs want a conviction, they will get a conviction regardless of the evidence. However, this will reverberate far beyond the defendant himself.

Famed Harvard professor Alan Dershowitz is correct in asserting that what was done during this trial is akin to what the KKK did during the Jim Crow era. "It's borrowed precisely from the Ku Klux Klan of the 1930s and 1920s when the Klan would march outside of courthouses and threatened all kinds of reprisals if the jury ever dared convict a white person or acquit a black person," Dershowitz said in an interview with Newsmax.

However, where Dershowitz is wrong is that he thinks this conviction will be overturned on appeal. Show me the judge who will be willing to have his life destroyed by the new KKK mob justice. This will now happen with any white defendant — a cop or civilian — who has an altercation with someone who is black. Like the black defendants in the Jim Crow South, white defendants can no longer get a fair trial in America's major cities when the media and the elites turn it into a proxy for a race war.

We no longer have individual justice in America. We have mob rule incited by "the system" in pursuit of a transformational political agenda. The defendant in any case that is considered transformational — whether it's the case of George Floyd or of the Jan. 6 Capitol protesters — will be a human sacrifice for the greater cause. When the system makes a call for what it wants, that outcome will never be in doubt. The system gets what the system demands.

No serious person can believe that any sane juror would have placed principle over his own life and judged the evidence in this case properly. With the media, the president, and every state official gunning for a guilty verdict under the threat of doxing individual jurors, the outcome here was never in doubt. That should disturb us all, because this is not just about cops. It's about being on the wrong side of our two-tiered mob justice system.

It's the same reason why violent criminals are released without bail, while Jan. 6 protesters who didn't even commit a violent felony are held without bail. It's the same reason why every cop who shoots a citizen has his name released immediately except for the cop who shot Ashli Babbitt. It's the same reason why BLM is able to shut down streets with impunity and never get prosecuted, as it did yesterday, surrounding a truck:

In fact, the mob lynching of motorists at the hands of BLM is emblematic of why this is about so much more than the cops. Henceforth, the cops will sit back passively and not respond to volatile situations. That will precipitate a cascading cause and effect of violent criminals remaining on the streets even longer and becoming more emboldened to commit violence. Now, rather than the police being the first ones to interact with those criminals, guess who will do the heavy lifting? The civilians.

Now guess what happens when a white civilian is confronted by a black criminal and is forced to shoot him? You got it. Mob justice.

Which is why I have a novel idea going forward: Let's indeed abolish the police.

Believe me, I have no interest in anarchy. I want ordered liberty. But if the only option on the menu is anarchy for one side of the justice system, then by all means let's have complete anarchy for everyone, not anarcho-tyranny. Once the cops and the justice system will no longer punish and deter violent criminals and accept BLM as the rulers of our streets, then the only remaining function the police will serve is to arrest us when we are forced into a self-defense situation against BLM.

If we are going to be alone on the streets without proper police deterrent — which is essentially the current reality anyway — then yes, leave us alone. If the only purpose of the police is now to enforce COVID fascism or arrest someone who defends himself or does something the system views as criminal, then why have police? Remember, these two-bit dictator governors and mayors rely on the police to enforce their illegal and immoral edicts. Without a police force, they are nothing but a bunch of raving lunatics.

The reality is that they don't want the police abolished; they want police repurposed to enforce their own tyranny. Let's call their bluff and abolish them completely so that they can't be used against us, especially the big city police departments.

Moreover, we need to focus our attention away from defending the police to fortifying our own self-defense. State legislatures in red states need to tighten up self-defense laws so that mob justice can't do to civilians what it has already done to the police.

Let's completely abolish the city police departments and leave only the sheriff's departments in outlying areas. What you will see in America is that police have nothing to do with what ails our cities. It will bring the fight directly to the people without the police as the punching bags. Perhaps that is the only way to awaken the people from their slumber and force them to confront this corrupt system.

Moving From ‘Defund Police’ To ‘Let Teens Stab Each Other’ Will Dig Democrats’ Grave In The Midterms

The Democrats' escalation from 'defund police' to 'let teens stab each other' is a gold mine for Republicans in 2022.

In November, Democrats expected to expand their House majority by as many as 15 t0 20 seats. Instead, they lost 12, giving House Speaker Nancy Pelosi the slimmest majority of her congressional career. In the autopsy of the Democratic defeat, the party’s leftward embrace of “Defund Police” was in no small part to blame.

“No one should say ‘defund the police’ ever again,” Virginia Rep. Abigail Spanberger scolded House progressives the day after the election. The Richmond-area congresswoman barely survived the November contest.

Virginia Democrat Sen. Mark Warner agreed the left’s anti-police rhetoric doomed them in congressional races, setting Republicans up to reclaim the House and Senate in 2022, as the president’s party historically fares poorly in his first midterms.

“I think the ability, using terms like ‘defund the police’ have led to Democratic losses in this last year,” Warner said.

House Republicans in a 222-213 minority now only need to flip five seats to take back the lower chamber next year, provided they keep a reliably red district in central Ohio vacated by Rep. Steve Stivers, who announced his resignation for another job earlier this week. In the Senate, Republicans must only flip one seat in an evenly divided chamber ruled by Democrats through a Democrat vice president to cast the tie-breaking votes.

As Democrats prepare to protect their majorities in a historically hostile cycle, the progressives dominating their party appear to be ignoring the lessons of November by escalating their anti-police rhetoric from simply “defund police” to “let teenagers stab each other.” The latter is the outcome of the former, although Democrats only just began to say it out loud.

On Tuesday, leftist fury turned on a police officer in Columbus, Ohio who fatally shot black 16-year-old teenager Ma’Khia Bryant around the same time the jury in Minneapolis handed down a guilty verdict for Derek Chauvin in the murder of George Floyd.

While leftists sought to capitalize on the Floyd verdict as an indictment of law enforcement nationwide rather than one officer or his department, the Columbus Police Department became the new center of controversy in the anti-police movement. The officer’s body camera footage revealed Tuesday night, however, that Bryant had been charging another black teen with a knife.

All nuance is erased, however, by a political left increasingly enticed by anarchy in an attempt to subject all police to collective guilt, seek collective punishment, and achieve collective transformation. That transformation in reality has little to do with police. Yet police have become a focal point in the culture war. The left has gone from stripping funds from law enforcement to explicit demands to allow teenagers violently stab each other.

Valerie Jarrett, a prominent Democratic strategist and former Obama White House senior adviser, condemned the Columbus police officer Wednesday for defending the life of a young black girl attacked by an angry assailant armed with a deadly weapon.

Bree Newsome, a Black Lives Matter activist, described the confrontation caught on tape as teens being teens, where no police involvement was necessary.

“Teenagers have been having fights including fights involving knives for eons,” Newsome wrote on Twitter. “We do not need police.”

Basketball star LeBron James piled onto the leftist chorus to legalize knife attacks, demanding “ACCOUNTABILITY” in a since-deleted post featuring a picture of the officer who saved a young girl’s life to his nearly 50 million followers. “YOU’RE NEXT,” James wrote of the Columbus officer in the aftermath of Chauvin’s guilty verdict.

These are not minor cherry-picked activists on a fringe online platform. Rather, these are some of the most prominent voices in the leftist movement whose viral posts racked up thousands of likes and retweets to illustrate approval of their ideas from their dedicated followers.

While Twitter is not real life, the platform can often indicate political and cultural currents, particularly among leftists, who have not been purged from the website like conservatives have. The radical messaging even drew support from those in the highest levels of American government at the White House, which claimed, without evidence, Wednesday that the Columbus officer’s shooting was motivated by race.

If Democrats want to escalate an already radical war on police, Republicans will be presented a political goldmine for 2022, and it’s an opportunity the GOP can’t let go to waste.

7 Reasons You MUST Go To College If You Want To Be Successful In Life

We did the research, and the results are in: there's no possible way to be happy or successful in life unless you go into crushing debt to attend a 4-year university. Still not convinced? Here are 7 reasons you MUST go to college if you ever hope to be successful in life!

1. Attending college will ensure you enter the workforce with almost zero of those annoying practical skills: Practical skills are for those working-class peasants who make 200K per year installing HVAC systems. You don't need that.

2. You'll amass mounds of crippling debt, which is a great life lesson in poor decision making: Plus, crippling student loan debt will keep you from buying a house, which is good because houses are a lot of work.

3. You might meet your future spouse passed out in a puddle of vomit at a party: And if you get married, you can start your life with 2 times the student loan debt! The American dream!

4. Unlimited frozen yogurt at the food court: Only $40,000 per year.

5. You get to experience the joy of paying $300 for a textbook on gender studies you'll never read: And after you graduate, you can look forward to a lifetime of fundraising calls to help students pay for their $300 gender studies books!

6. Learn new life hacks: like putting Bounce dryer sheets behind a fan to overcome the smell of your roommate who never showers. Invaluable knowledge!

7. If you acquire a graduate degree, Starbucks might let you become a shift manager: you can match the career earnings of a postman when you're 56, and really make bank in your 60s!

Need we say more? There's no question that a college degree is your ticket to success. Now get out there and make your mark on the world! And please, no whip on my latte.

The Left’s Orwellian Perversion of Language

Article by Lauri B. Regan in The American Thinker

The Left’s Orwellian Perversion of Language

Lies and propaganda are now the mainstay of leftist communications. A twenty-first century reincarnation of George Orwell’s 1984 Newspeak is one of their primary mechanisms utilized to prevent critical thought and debate while expanding power by “reimagining” (their word du jour) language:

In the novel, the ruling English Socialist Party (Ingsoc) created Newspeak to meet the ideological requirements of English Socialism in Oceania. Newspeak is a controlled language of simplified grammar and restricted vocabulary designed to limit the individual's ability to think and articulate "subversive" concepts such as personal identity, self-expression and free will.

Whether operating in academia, the media, social justice movements, or the Democrat party, the left has stifled free speech and intimidated Americans into submission (as we’ve seen in corporate America and professional sports) through its cancel culture and lies (Russia collusion, Russian bounties, Russian disinformation). It’s achieving its goals through the perversion of language to control society.

This is nothing new. Recall the days when the world was going to end from “global warming.” When that prediction failed, the left devised the term “climate change,” understanding that any weather event would easily fall under that reimagined term. As expected, every weather event is now used as an excuse for government and progressives to decry human consumption of energy and limit our freedoms.

Similarly, Donald Trump and other rational humans recognized the pandemic was caused by the Wuhan virus (named after its place of origin like many viruses). Alas, the left now finds itself in bed with the Chinese, so Covid-19 became the reimagined name.

Apparently a student of Orwell, Congresswoman Spanberger recognized that if Democrats don’t stop using words like “socialism” and “defund the police,” we’re going to get f-----g killed in 2022.” Here is a partial list of words and phrases that have been butchered by the left to retain -- and gain -- power:

Immigration

The most recent dystopian dictate from Biden/Harris is the order to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol to cease using the terms “alien,” “illegal alien,” and “assimilation.” Those words will be replaced with “noncitizen or migrant,” “undocumented,” and “integration,” respectively. CBP’s head explained, “We enforce our nation’s laws while also maintaining the dignity of every individual with whom we interact. The words we use matter and will serve to further confer that dignity to those in our custody.”

No, they do not enforce our nation’s laws. If they did, our borders would be closed rather than having tens of thousands of illegal immigrants crossing it. And while words matter, the majority of those flocking into the country don’t speak English, so this Orwellian decree is meant for U.S. consumption, not the “dignity” of illegal aliens.

This is reminiscent of the insanity of the Obama administration scrubbing FBI training materials of references to the terms “terrorism,” “terrorist,” and “jihad,” replacing them with euphemisms like “man-caused disasters” lest we offend the Muslims committing such atrocities.

In yet one more effort to undo Trump’s successful policies, Biden seeks a more “humane” immigration system so facilities that were labeled “cages” under Trump are now “shelters” under Biden.  With Newspeak, the situation on our southern border is not a “crisis” but rather a “challenge.” Alas, Biden didn’t get the memo (or likely forgot) so Jen Psaki was forced to walk back his mistaken use of “crisis” this week explaining that the crisis is actually in Central America, not on our border.

Spending Bills

In order to ram through trillions in spending and tax increases, Biden and the Democrats have redefined the words bipartisan and reconciliation.  According to Biden, any legislation that has the support of at least one Republican voter is now bipartisan since the dictionary “doesn’t say the Republicans have to be in Congress."

Biden’s spending packages would never pass the Senate with a bipartisan filibuster-proof 60 votes so Democrats have devised faux descriptions to ensure they’re defined in a way that guaranties passage with a simple majority.  Voila: an infrastructure bill is now budget legislation, passing through the reconciliation process while bypassing the filibuster.

Speaking of infrastructure, only 6% of Biden’s $2.3 trillion infrastructure bill goes to roads and bridges. The rest is “a progressive boondoggle” resembling AOC’s Green New Deal while also addressing Democrats’ other obsession, “equality.” Kirsten Gillibrand proudly took to twitter to announce, “Paid leave is infrastructure. Child care is infrastructure. Caregiving is infrastructure.” Who knew?  And according to Biden, the “infrastructure” bill will, “extend access to quality, affordable home or community-based care” for seniors and people with disabilities.

No surprise that this bill has little to do with “shovel ready jobs,” (an Obama/Biden lie promised to pass their “stimulus” swindle) and everything to do with redistributing wealth. It follows the Covid-relief bill as to which only 9% of the $1.9 trillion went to Covid while the rest was described by the Wall Street Journal as a “progressive blowout for the ages that does little for the economy but will finance Democratic interest groups for years.” Words certainly matter when scamming American taxpayers.

And while Democrats are advancing a slavery reparations bill, they’re also concealing such payments in signed legislation including labeling them “agricultural support” – for black farmers only --  and providing funds for “Historically Black Colleges and Universities as well as Minority Serving Institutions.” This is racism but they’ve redefined that as well.

Systemic Racism/Anti-Racism

Every day whites are accused of being racist for something they did or did not do. America and its police are systemically racist, America was founded in 1619 by racist slave-owners, whites suffer from unconscious racism and so on. If you do not abide by critical race theory’s anti-racist agenda, you are a racist. Christopher Rufo explains:

There are a series of euphemisms deployed by its supporters to describe critical race theory, including “equity,” “social justice,” “diversity and inclusion,” and “culturally responsive teaching.” Critical race theorists, masters of language construction, realize that “neo-Marxism” would be a hard sell.

In our Oceania of today, neo-Marxism is dictating that every white person is guilty of the crime of simply being born white.

One of Biden’s first executive orders directed the federal government to “affirmatively advance equity” as if the Civil War never occurred, the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Acts were never passed, affirmative action never existed, and Black people haven’t advanced in every profession imaginable.

Corporate America is similarly obsessed with Coca Cola telling its employees to “be less white” while Home Depot is boycotted for remaining silent. Social justice warriors cancel you for not virtue-signaling when they order you do so.

Thus, we find ourselves in 1984’s Oceania when Georgia is boycotted for voting rights legislation that is more lenient than New York or Delaware simply because the left demands it. Voter I.D. requirements and voter suppression are, in Newspeak, reminiscent of the KKK notwithstanding that ID’s are required to board a plane, buy cigarettes, cannabis and liquor, or cash a check.

The term “Jim Crow” is now being abused much like Nazi and Hitler were to describe Trump and his supporters. Laws established to prevent voter fraud, according to Biden, “make Jim Crow look like Jim Eagle.” And the filibuster, that so many Democrats including Biden in a lengthy speech in 2005 defended as being a hallmark of democracy, is suddenly a Jim Crow relic.

Domestic Politics

Peaceful protests” now include rioting, looting, and torching businesses, with a financial cost of an estimated $2 billion. The mainstream media never aired videos of the “violent BLM protests” since, in the Newspeak lexicon, only Trump supporters commit violence.

Hypocrisy is a bulwark of Democrats’ power. There is no better example of this than the way in which they define “incitement.” Democrats impeached Trump for “inciting” the January 6th riots despite the fact that he told his supporters to march “peacefully and patriotically.”

On the other hand, Maxine Waters is given a pass for telling crowds, “If you see anybody from [Trump’s] Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd and you push back on them.”  When she clearly incited crowds to violence telling them to “stay in the streets,” “fight for justice,” “get more active,” and “make sure they know that we mean business,” Pelosi explained, “Maxine talked about confrontation in the manner of the civil rights movement” and should “absolutely not” apologize. Every House Democrat agreed.

Democrats don’t like conservatives holding a majority on the Supreme Court so Rashida Tlaib is now claiming that when Republicans fulfilled their Constitutional duty to fill vacancies, they “stole” the majority, hence we must “expand” the court. Jerry Nadler claims Democrats are not “packing” the court, they’re “unpacking it.” Ed Markey justified the move because the court is “broken,” “out of balance,” and “needs to be fixed,” adding that “expanding the court is equal justice.”

There are many other examples of Newspeak permeating our discourse. The Associated Press banned the word “mistress” using “companion, friend, or lover” instead. Businesses, colleges, and media outlets either require gender neutral pronouns or the use of personally selected terms. Boys aren’t necessarily boys and can compete in girls’ sports by simply claiming they’re a girl. In New Oceania, gender is fluid. Headmaster is now banned at many private schools and the City of Berkeley banned terms like “manhole,” “manpower” (now “human effort”), “bondsman” and “pregnant woman” “to be consistent with principles of inclusion” (notwithstanding that only 0.4% of our population defines as transgender). And a BLM co-founder and proud Marxist explained that purchasing multiple expensive homes is not capitalism because it’s for her family.

Foreign Policy

Obama advisor Ben Rhodes admitted years ago that the administration’s lies regarding the Iran nuclear deal were disseminated through the “echo chamber” (aka the mainstream media). They told the world that the JCPOA would prevent Iran from attaining nuclear weapons despite it actually greenlighting their eventual sanctioned development. They promised that Iranian President Rouhani was a “moderate” despite him being anything but (just as they tell us that Palestinian Mahmoud Abbas is a moderate when both he and Rouhani are terror-sponsors).

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour reports that Palestinian presidential candidate Marwan Barghouti is an “activist” despite serving a life sentence in an Israeli prison for multiple terrorist attacks. One of Biden’s first executive orders was to revoke the designation of Yemen’s Houthis as a foreign terrorist organization despite their continuing acts of terrorism; in Oceania, they’re committing man-caused disasters.

Bizarrely, State Department spokesman, Ned Price refuses to utter the term Abraham Accords, negotiated by the Trump administration leading to peace between Israel and at least four Arab nations. Instead, Price refers to them as “normalization agreements” to avoid mentioning the Patriarch of the Jewish people and the father from which Christianity and Islam also descended.

-isms

The left spent years accusing Trump of fascism, applying the term as carelessly as they used the Hitler comparison. Their raison d’etre is to demonize and delegitimize Trump and Republicans, historical accuracy be damned. They also demonize and delegitimize Israel through anti-Zionism as a means to camouflage their antisemitism.

Since, as Spanberger noted, Democrats shouldn’t use the word socialism to describe their policies lest the public be frightened, so they’re disguising their true intentions behind spending bills with Newspeak-like names including the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), America Recovery and Reinvestment Act (Obama stimulus), American Rescue Plan (Biden “Covid” bill), and American Jobs Plan (Biden infrastructure bill). Don’t be fooled, they’re all plans that redistribute wealth and aim to achieve “equity.”

Finally, the Chinese Communist Party violates the human rights of all its citizens but especially the Uighurs who are treated horrifically by the regime that controls through communism. Given that Biden is in bed with the Chinese, he justified their abuses claiming, “Culturally, there are different norms in each country and their leaders are expected to follow.” H.R. McMaster recognizes Newspeak when he hears it responding, “You could call that bigotry masquerading as cultural sensitivity."

************

As the left becomes more emboldened by its control of the federal government, expect more Newspeak to be used, but don’t fall for the propaganda. We have entered a new age in America and if we don’t recognize this true crisis for what it is, we’ll find ourselves living in Oceania with no way out.
