Audit concludes Dominion voting machines are designed for fraud

Report urges Trump to invoke 2018 order to protect national security

The company that conducted an independent audit of 22 Dominion Voting Systems in a small Michigan county released a report Monday concluding the machines are "intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors."

Consequently, Allied Security Operations Group advised in its report, President Trump should invoke his 2018 executive order to ensure national security in the event of foreign interference in an election.

"We conclude that the Dominion Voting System is intentionally and purposefully designed with inherent errors to create systemic fraud and influence election results," says the report, written by Russell Ramsland, a former Republican candidate in Texas. "The system intentionally generates an enormously high number of ballot errors."

The report was published on the website of attorney Matthew DePerno, a lawyer in Anterim County who represented a voter in the case.

The county was in the news after the election when it was discovered that 6,000 votes had been flipped from President Trump to Joe Biden. The Michigan secretary of state and the Antrim County clerk both blamed "human error."

But Allied Security insists it's a "machine" or "software" error, calling it a "national security issue."

Dominion machines are used in 28 states, serving some 40% of the population.

The report recommends "that an independent group should be empaneled to determine the extent of the adjudication errors throughout the State of Michigan."

Dominion has dismissed charges that its machines are vulnerable to fraud as "election disinformation."

"All Dominion systems are capable of producing paper records and are 100 percent auditable, with testing, reviews, audits, and recounts subject to oversight and verification by all political parties," the company states on its website.

Michigan's assistant attorney general, Erik Grill, charged the report's claims are "inaccurate, incomplete, and misleading."

The report states the forensic examination of the tabulation log for Dec. 6 found 68.05% -- 10,667 of 15,676 individual events -- were "recorded errors."

"These errors resulted in overall tabulation errors or ballots being sent to adjudication," the report says.

The high error rate "proves the Dominion Voting System is flawed and does not meet state or federal election laws."

The audit also noted vulnerabilities related to the ability of Dominion machines to be connected to the internet.

On Friday, attorney Sidney Powell filed emergency requests to the Supreme Court to order officials in Georgia, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona to de-certify their 2020 election results.

Powell said in an interview Sunday with the Epoch Times that "especially insidious and troubling is the machine fraud conducted through the Dominion voting systems."

"In fact, one of our experts says Dominion fraud was 5% higher votes for Biden across the board everywhere there was a Dominion machine running. The same was true for other Democrats that were running on the tickets in those states," she said.

Powell, who is not part of the Trump campaign legal team, also suggested Trump could invoke his 2018 executive order calling on the director of national intelligence to assess evidence of foreign interference in an election.

If John Ratcliffe, the DNI, were to conduct such an assessment, she said, it would "blow the mind of every citizen in the country who's willing to look at the truth and the facts."

"Because there's never – we've never witnessed anything like this in the history of this country," said Powell. "And it's got to be stopped right now or there will never be a free and fair election."

Biden Captures Electoral Votes From All States Trump Contested

Article by Bloomberg News in NewsMax

Biden Captures Electoral Votes From All States Trump Contested

Electoral College members in all six battleground states where President Donald Trump most fiercely contested the results cast their ballots for Democrat Joe Biden on Monday, appearing to cut off the president’s path to overturning the election.

The vote marks the watershed moment some Republican lawmakers have said would signal the end of their support for attempts to overturn the Nov. 3 election.

The 16 electors in Michigan voted for Biden, following the 63 votes cast for him earlier in Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. Biden will have enough electoral votes to be officially declared president-elect when members have cast 270 ballots, which is expected after California votes. Congress will officially count the votes on Jan. 6.

Electors in 50 U.S. states and District of Columbia are voting for president and vice president in time-honored constitutional ceremonies that have drawn new attention this year after Trump refused to concede and insisted that the election was “rigged.”

Many Republicans have refused to recognize Biden’s victory as a resuylt of those claims, saying the president had a right to pursue legal challenges and to let the process play out. And now, with electors casting their votes, it seemingly has.

Still, the president is continuing his challenges, with roughly five weeks to go until the inauguration date of Jan. 20.

“The Electoral College obviously brings some finality to this,” Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, the chamber’s No. 2 Republican, told reporters last week. And South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham, another Trump ally, said when asked whether the president should concede, “I’ll talk to you December the 14th.”

Trump said on Fox News on Sunday that he’ll continue to fight the results, even after the U.S. Supreme Court on Friday rejected a bid by Texas to nullify the election results in four of the six battleground states -- a case the president had called “the big one” that was supported by Republican attorneys general in 18 states and 126 Republican members of Congress.

On Monday, Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer tweeted that Republican electors in the state also met at the state capitol to cast votes for Trump and Vice President Mike Pence because a Trump campaign lawsuit contesting the state’s results is still pending. Former U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta of Pennsylvania said the Trump electors in the commonwealth also held “conditional” votes in case a court were to overturn the results. The idea is to send a rival slate of electors for Congress to consider. But there’s only one certified slate of electors that Congress can recognize from a state, and their move is “not going to work as a matter of law,” said Edward Foley, a professor and director of an election-law program at Ohio State University who has studied disputed elections.

Biden plans to deliver remarks at 8 p.m. “on the Electoral College vote certification and the strength and resilience of our democracy,” his transition team announced.

The president’s campaign and his allies filed dozens of lawsuits seeking to invalidate Biden’s victories in the battleground states, and almost all were rejected for lack of evidence of fraud. The president has been pressuring Republicans in Congress and in states to help him overturn the election, and has urged state legislators to appoint rival Trump electors.

Rick Bloomingdale, a Biden elector in Pennsylvania, said before the meeting at the state capitol in Harrisburg that he was confident his vote would be counted and that Trump’s efforts to overturn the election would fail.

“At noon on January 20th, Joe Biden’s going to be president of the United States,” said Bloomingdale, president of the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO. “It’s mind-boggling to me that we have people that are actually trying to conduct a coup and take the votes away from the voters.”

Pennsylvania elector Paige Gebhardt Cognetti said she was especially proud to cast her vote for Biden because she worked at the U.S. Treasury Department when he was vice president and now is mayor of Scranton, his boyhood home.

“It shouldn’t matter who your parents voted for, if you’re a kid growing up in Scranton, you should know that you can become president,” Cognetti said.

Most electors are meeting in their state capitals with restricted access and social distancing because of the coronavirus pandemic. Nevada conducted its meeting entirely by video conference, and Arizona didn’t publicly disclose the location of its gathering to keep it “low key.”

There were protests against Trump’s election outside the Electoral College meeting in some states in 2016, and there could be demonstrations this year. Trump supporters gathered to protest in Washington on Saturday, at times clashing with counter-protesters and police.

Police were to escort the state’s electors from a parking garage to the Michigan State Capitol in Lansing, said elector Chris Cracchiolo, chairman of the Grand Traverse Democratic Party and vice chairman of the Michigan Democratic Party.

The Fight Will Continue

Article by Yaacov ben Moshe in The American Thinker

The Fight Will Continue

The presidential election of 2020 has revealed America’s present state of social and spiritual chaos. It has also cast light on the paths we might choose going into the future. While we wait for the Georgia senatorial runoff that will begin that future in earnest, here is where we are right now.

There are two different world views in competition. The one that seems to be on the ascendant, calls itself by many names so it is hard to pin it down. Let me try. All of these various names have aggregated themselves under the “big tent” of the Democrat party. There is a kaleidoscope of ideologies from the Muslim Brotherhood to Greens and Communists but the three largest and most often cited groups are liberals, progressives and socialists. Leaving aside the serious and unresolved argument that liberal is not the correct term in any way for what passes for the ideologies that predominate in that party, there is one core belief that they all have in common. In one way or another, they believe that human life can be perfected through government.

They make it sound good by painting the benefits of government control with soothing words -- equality, security justice -- they leave out the part about the government the bullying involved. Liberals think that Social Justice can be achieved by passing laws to govern every aspect of social and personal interaction. Socialists believe that it is a legitimate governmental responsibility to see that no matter how hard one works, how intelligent one is or even how lucky one has been, that person must not have a vastly better position or wealth than anyone else.

Progressives just want to decide what is progress and what isn’t. They all, in their own way, want to increase the role of government in your life. When push comes to shove, to achieve any of that, government is a blunt instrument, a bully.

That is the nature of government. Our American system of government was created to protect the individual whose rights were endowed by God -- to make life better by setting rules and keeping things fair. Our Constitution is the rule book and its best rule is that government should be limited. Government that is not limited is a jealous monster that wants more and more control all the time until it devours the people. There is a fine line between being governed and being ruled.

That’s not to say the Republican Party is in any way ideal. It has been an unreliable ally, a fair-weather friend, to the cause of liberty. Many Republicans, Mitt Romney, Jeff Flake, Mike Lee and many others are either part of or have sold themselves to the corporate and high tech finance and influence sectors. They paint themselves as entrepreneurs, but they are really careerists of the most hypocritical kind. The irony is that even though they think of themselves as entrepreneurs, they also believe that government is the ultimate answer to all problems. They just believe in somewhat different goals. Without Donald Trump as the disruptor, The Republican Party would have continued on the path to irrelevancy that it scurried back to after the Reagan years.

The Trump presidency, above all, championed the idea that individuals can run their own lives and make decisions about what is right. To have freedom of (not from) religion. Businesses of all sizes should be able to take risks and create jobs without overbearing, senselessly inefficient regulation and confiscatory taxation by the government. It has been, above all, about returning the role of the individual and his aspirations to the central role in public life.

So, what was the election about, then, and what is at stake in the Georgia runoff? According to an Economist/YouGov poll, 75% of registered voters believe that there was voter fraud and that 40% believe that there was enough fraud to change the outcome. There is even a poll that shows that a significant number of Biden voters believe there was fraud. As the lawsuits and evidence pile up, this understanding will only grow. The more the media and Democrats argue with that growing understanding, the more they expose their need to govern our thoughts as well as our actions. This is the point at which being governed is no longer by consent -- it is where being governed takes the fatal slide into being ruled over..

The people who pulled this theft off think that our history of peaceful transfers of power in the past is their guarantee that their theft will succeed. Like an over-confident bank robber, they have taken our Constitution hostage with this brazen heist and are now holding a gun to its head. “One false move,” they are in effect saying, “and we kill this thing and take over.”

But it is clear that it is about killing the Constitution whether we act or not. They have already declared that this is their aim. Now they are only using our reverence for it to quell us -- to, in effect, coerce us into beginning our captivity voluntarily. Like the passengers on flight 93, we are being hijacked. If we don’t do anything, they will do what they want with us, take our guns first, confiscate our property through taxation and worse

Most humiliating of all, they will force us to repeat their absurdities and lies. We will have to mouth the words that we believe that there are any number of genders that they can imagine -- that men can chose to be women who can chose to be men. They will take our children away from us with indoctrination in public schools, and universities. They will force us to agree that we are irredeemable racists. They have already begun -- just ask any of the several people fired from their jobs for so much as privately expressing support for President Trump. In short, they mean to rule over us, body, heart and mind in every humiliating way.

That is what the fight about the 2020 election fraud is about. It is about us, the 70 million people who understand this at some level, those who voted for President Trump. We cannot turn a blind eye to the theft of our rights. We know in our hearts this is wrong. We are the first and most fully aware victims of the downhill slide toward tyranny. There are many more though. There are polls that show that significant numbers, even of Democrat voters who think that there was significant fraud.

We are right to be proud of being a nation of laws. The peaceful transfer of power has been one of the hallmarks of that civilized orderliness. We must do our best to keep it peaceful, but it does not have to be orderly or passive. Neither is it the most vital element of rule of law.

The most important cornerstone of our rights and responsibilities in our system is the vote of the individual. If our votes are changed, discarded, diluted or negated in any way we have been betrayed. This is the result of the 2020 election all arguments about order and law are irrelevant if this is not addressed, investigated and the culprits punished.

The founders defied the tyranny of Great Britain even though most of them had wanted to be good “subjects” of the king for most of their lives. They revolted, finally, because they were galvanized by the humiliation of knowing that being “subjects” of a king that lived on a different continent and ruled without consent was a form of slavery. They and so many generations of patriots risked everything to escape that servitude. We are now facing the gravest challenge to the survival of the Union since Lincoln’s day.

The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation. We say we are for the Union. The world will not forget that we say this. We know how to save the Union. The world knows we do know how to save it. We -- even we here -- hold the power, and bear the responsibility. In giving freedom to the slave, we assure freedom to the free -- honorable alike in what we give, and what we preserve. We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth. Other means may succeed; this could not fail.  - Abraham Lincoln, Address to Congress, delivered two months before the Emancipation Proclamation.

That Union, in the sense that Abraham Lincoln knew it was then and is still “the last best hope of earth”. That last best hope depends upon the primacy of liberty and the rights of the individual as expressed by the vote.

Statistically and from eyewitness accounts, we know that we so far surpassed the Democrats’ arrogant expectations of victory in 2016 that they could not cheat enough at the last minute to turn us back. This time, they were more prepared. They began months before the election, putting in place illegal mail-in ballot schemes and crooked machines. Even so, we outvoted them to such a vast degree that their cheating had to become too desperate and huge to hide -- in spite of the best efforts of their lackeys in the media. The Biden “victory” is a lie that should not be allowed to stand. Its continued acceptance is corrosive and shameful to our very core.

The fight is not over; it goes on in the courts. If the courts fail us, it will continue in Georgia. I pray that Georgia will stand in the breach for us but if they don’t, the fight must go on, to the House of Representatives voting by state delegation.  This is still The United States of America. It is up to us, We the People, to remember why this is the greatest country ever- the last best hope. Lincoln outlined the choice, it is between nobly saving it or meanly losing it.

The oaths of our military begin with the promise “…to protect and defend the constitution of The United States” first and above all other loyalties. If that is the last line of defense we must call on our military to defend us. God Bless the United States and the Constitution that created it.

Can We Survive the Coming Socialism?

Article by H.P. Smith in The American Thinker

Can We Survive the Coming Socialism?

It’s looking pretty grim right now regarding President Trump’s chances of getting the four more years he deserves, and that he almost certainly would have received had the Democrats’ cheating game not gone to all time high levels.  It’s also looking like justice and honesty are going to play a diminishing role in the United States for the foreseeable future, as evidently about forty or so percent of the country is perfectly comfortable with massive voter fraud and willing to participate in it, all because they wanted to have their own way.

With that, it also looks like we are on our way towards a pretty heavy dose of socialism as the Left is now emboldened by their brazen acts of fraud and encouraged by the fact that even SCOTUS does not seem willing to challenge their crimes.  The Ocasio-Cortezes and Bernie Sanderses and Kamala Harrises of the world already have grand plans to take this country in the direction of Cuba and Venezuela, and now there will be very little to stand in their way... politically, anyway.  We also know that the mainstream media will be eagerly willing participants, feeding us lie after lie, and Hollywood will pump out their own versions of the propaganda.  Even as the country burns, they will celebrate how great things are now that evil Orange Man is not in the White House any longer.

With all the recent talk about viruses and vaccines, I started thinking about the disease that is socialism and what it would take for a country to survive it and to develop an immunity to it going forward.  Socialism has left a path of destruction in its wake everywhere it has been attempted.  (I include communism in this discussion, since it is a close cousin of socialism, and has a similar murderous and miserable history).  However, it has so far left the United States relatively unscathed.  Sure, there are some things that are run in a socialist way here in the U.S., such as ObamaCare, the public school system and Medicare, to name just a few, and more than enough wealth redistribution schemes, principal among them being our U.S. Tax Code.  But by and large, we are still a capitalist and free country.

There is an entire generation, multiple generations really, that have been taught that capitalism is evil and that socialism and communism are the answer to all of society’s problems.  These mindless drones have issued forth like locusts from our colleges and universities to spread their madness around the country.  No longer do they mature out of this idiocy as they encounter the harsh realities of life like they once might have.  No, partly because of social media that censors any facts that threaten their myopic worldview and partly because their parents have raised them in a world where they are never challenged, these snowflakes are very unlikely to ever see the horrifying truth about socialism.

My question is, like with a vaccine, Do we need to get a little bit of the disease in our system to be able to able to defeat it? What I mean is, do we need these dopes to actually experience the truth about socialism in order for them to ever believe how evil and worthless it truly is?  If there was ever a country with the ability to overcome such an infection, I believe it would be the United States.

All throughout this great land, we have patriots who are willing to fight, to be the antibodies needed to ward off the disease.  We have people like James O’Keefe and other independent and honest journalists who are actually digging to find the truth.  We have a very few honest and patriotic politicians who are willing to fight for that silly old rag called the Constitution and we have the veritable armies of regular Americans whom we’ve seen showing up at Trump rallies and boat parades and fighting back against Antifa.  Would these forces of good be enough?

Don’t get me wrong, I have no interest or desire to go down the rabbit hole of socialism any more than we already have, but I’m not sure that there is another way to change the hearts and minds of those committed to it... other than outright civil war, that is.  If there is a way, I’m all ears.  I would say that the first thing we need to do is restore integrity and honesty to our election system, but if President Trump fails to do this, I believe that it may be hopeless.  I don’t believe that the GOP has the spine (or other body parts) to fight to reestablish our faith in voting, and if I’m right that means the Democrats will continue with their shenanigans and will remain firmly in control of almost everything.

Maybe the best we can do is to continue with the preventive measures we have and keep up the fight.  As with preventing other illnesses, we can keep taking our vitamins C and D (standing for capitalism and democracy, conveniently for my argument) and try to maintain our relative health.  But as with any truly nasty disease, these measures may only delay the inevitable spread; I hope it’s not like with chicken pox, where we have to let ourselves be exposed to it so that we can fight it off early.

I believe we are at a very important point in our country’s history; a Battle of Midway type of moment, where the tides may turn one way or the other based on the outcome.  Even if the tide doesn’t turn in our favor, this is a battle that we must continue.  We may very well lose this current battle for the White House and thus be blasted in the face with socialism germs, as from an uncovered sneeze.  The time is coming when our mettle will be tested and we will see how well our immune system will respond.

Our Crisis Already is at DEFCON-3

Article by David Prentice in The American Thinker

Our Crisis Already is at DEFCON-3

We’re witnessing a historical rift in a cold (so far) civil war.  It’s like overlooking the battlefields pre-Gettysburg, or looking at Hiroshima before the bomb.

DEFCON-3: What is that?  Most center-right readers know.

DEFCON is a military preparedness alert system.   It’s how we assess enemy threats.  Our normal DEFCON number sits at 5, sometimes going to 4.  We don’t know details, but it musters military readiness due to intelligence rumblings.

DEFCON-3 is a rare signal of danger.

DEFCON-3 was was enacted during the Cuban Missile Crisis in 1962, moving to DEFCON-2 one week later.  We hit DEFCON-3 during the Yom Kippur war of 1973.  After the September 11 attacks, we were there, with an alert we might move to DEFCON-2, moving back to DEFCON-4 on September 14.  DEFCON-2 was instituted during the Gulf War of 1991.

The system is complex, nuanced enough to bore us all, so onward to the point.   This is not about the armed forces, it’s for those of us in America who want to have a country we treasure, one that will be worth saving.  It’s calling all patriots, everyone who cares about our country, the center-right, moderates, independents; plus those sane Democrats who might be hiding.

DEFCON-3, moving rapidly towards DEFCON-2.   A cultural alert:

1.     We just had an election that was stolen.  The evidence is clear, the left colluded, and stole this.  The collusion/coordination was massive.

2.    Pollsters are saying 60% of the country now believes this election was fraudulent.

3.    The entire country knows this issue isn’t going away.

4.    More than three quarters on the center-right believe that.  Almost half of independents.  Thirty percent of liberals.  Those are serious numbers.  Real.  And growing.

5.    Those numbers make it clear to anyone with a sentient brain that we cannot survive as a country without fixing what happened.

6.    Those numbers do not record the growing depth of white, laser-hot, righteous anger in over half of those on the center-right.

7.    When twenty states join a national suit countering the fraud, coming from a normally milquetoast party, you know we’re in emotional purgatory.

8.    When conservative justices signal that they aren’t interested in this lawless act, you know we’re in intellectual purgatory.

9.    Those who colluded in this theft: our Democrat/media complex, the tech oligarchs, the foreign actors of China, and Iran, have been colluding long before this.

10.They colluded from the time Trump came down the escalator, manifesting their power long before his run.

11.They colluded on the mindless stupidity of the Russian witch-hunt.

12.They colluded on the asinine Trump impeachment.

13.They colluded on preventing the American public from seeing the corruption and ineptitude of the Biden family leading up to the election.

14.And they will collude to destroy most of the goodness in this country.

Add those up:  DEFCON-3, moving to DEFCON-2.

Because, if citizens don’t mobilize now, the left will make our country not worth saving.   Not without an actual civil war.  I don’t know about you, but I’m not there.  I don’t want DEFCON-1.  That’s the last resort, and close as we may be, we’re not there.  Yes, many are prepared for that, but most are not willing.

Yet.

The above-mentioned cabal of colluders:  This is a group of actors that we cannot have in these United States and survive.  They are hopelessly corrupt; they will lie, and cheat at the drop of a hat, they will continue to try to destroy the historically unique great things of our country without batting an eye.  It’s who they are.  And until they are defeated, figuratively tarred and feathered, many put in prison, or driven from this country, we will be on the edge of civil war II.

Are you getting this?  This is no joke.  This is what the left has brought us to with their civilization-ending tactics and actions of fraud.  They are the reason for DEFCON-3, not the average center-right voters who wants to simply live their dreams, aka pursuing happiness.

No.  The left is jamming its geriatric, corrupt candidate down our throats with this fraud.  If Biden actually were to be sworn in, you can already see the awful character of those he is picking to run our government.   Their history is one of corruption and ethical depravity.  You can see the awful things they want to do here and abroad.  They are openly telling us what they will do.

This is a horrible thing to consider:   A group that can successfully steal an election will know they can get away with anything.

San Fran Nan will be on steroids with Senator Chuck Smarmy.

They want to rule us.  They have made it clear.  If you don’t know this, you haven’t been paying attention to what they’ve been saying, or doing.

God help us if it goes beyond DEFCON-2.

Let me address the GOP:   The steal is ongoing.  The left disenfranchised our vote by cheating.  They stole an election.  And this cannot stand.  There are those in the GOP along with some independents who know this, and who are standing up and shouting it from the rooftops.  And there are those who look like the pathetic monkeys who hear, see, and speak no evil.  Those who won’t lift a finger to deal with the fraud.  Wake up sleepers!  Either act to end this fraud now, or face one of two ends:  As worthless props, or historical heroes.

Will the GOP be the stupid party forever?  If so, we’re toast.  If they cluck, mewl, and dissemble as the Bush/McCain party, their phony-baloney jobs will evaporate.  I don’t think it’s too much to ask GOP members and independents to summon up the courage to fight this evil, or the spine to face down the awful cabal that did this.  Consider this: if people united, actually stood with conviction and fought for principles they would make a mark on history; as newly-minted Thomas Jeffersons and George Washingtons.

They might count for something.

Independents:  Do not remain silent, fight against the hard left, before everything worthwhile is gone.  The left destroys everything it touches, always has, always will.  If they succeed in this theft, your lives will become disenfranchised too.  You will not escape.  The mob will come for you.

To Joe Biden and the Democratic Party:

It’s time to concede this election.  If not, the fault for the carnage to follow will be laid at your feet.  No call for unity from moral despots will be heard by anyone.

Democrats are now officially the party of total fraud and deceit. All who voted for these cretinous frauds, realize the seriousness of what the hard left has done. There is still time to regain integrity.

Make no mistake, I am not suggesting civil war.  I am calling for actions to avoid one.  Note to the Supreme Court:  You can still be heroes.  If lawless elections are allowed, there will no longer be a law left to adjudicate.  You really can save this country. Do so.

The hard left cannot consolidate their election theft if we mobilize and unify against them.

This is what cultural DEFCON-3, moving towards DEFCON-2 means - be prepared.  Mobilize.

Now.

And never give up.  Freedom is a precious thing.

Is a National Split Inevitable?

Article by Scott Morefield in Townhall

Is a National Split Inevitable?

Is America “trending towards secession”? Conservative radio legend Rush Limbaugh got into some hot water last week for daring to attempt to answer that question. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you probably heard about it. From Media Matters to Geraldo Rivera to every left-of-center blue-check Twitter account, critics were basically accusing the legendary broadcaster of treason, even though he never explicitly endorsed the concept himself.

It’s a far cry from only four years ago, of course, when the “Calexit” movement made news as a novel concept put forth by lovable, if a bit rambunctious, leftists frustrated at the election of Donald Trump. Obviously, when a liberal wants to secede, it’s perhaps a bit misguided but understandable, but when a conservative even broaches the topic, it’s a treasonous reintroduction of slavery, or something.

The blatant media double-standard notwithstanding, what should we make of Limbaugh’s observations?

“I actually think that we’re trending toward secession,” Limbaugh said Wednesday, responding to a question from a listener about conservatives being able to win national elections after Trump. “I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York? What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if you’re talking about votes?”

“There cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs,” he continued. “We can’t be in this dire of a conflict without something giving somewhere along the way. I know that there’s a sizable and growing sentiment for people who believe that that is where we’re headed whether we want to or not.”

Limbaugh later in that particular monologue and also the next day made it abundantly clear that his preference is to “find a way to unite and win.” It’s certainly my preference too, but then again our generations and those before it grew up in an America where Manifest Destiny, the concept that the United States’ growth from the Atlantic to the Pacific was justified and inevitable, was praised in history class as a noble thing. I remember studying each acquisition, from the Louisiana Purchase to the Mexican Cession to the purchase of Alaska, as amazing, hard-fought, and even miraculous wins for the Good Guys. The left now views them as something else entirely, but I don’t care. The thought of ceding any of this land, won fair and square over many decades with the blood, sweat, and tears of our ancestors, to a bunch of godless communists hellbent on destroying everything they touch is anathema to every fiber of my being.

Even so, Limbaugh is obviously correct about the ongoing cultural divide. Many have argued that this country has been experiencing a bloodless “civil war” for years, one between producers and takers, between freedom-lovers and those who would invoke tyranny to accomplish their evil ends. The difference could not be more evidenced by the divide between the 75 million who voted for Trump versus the (allegedly) 80 million-plus who voted for Biden. On every major issue, from policing to tax policy to immigration to judicial activism to the Second Amendment to abortion to whether or not there are 16 genders, the difference is night and day. “How can these people be so ignorant?” each side asks while looking at the other side like they’ve got three eyes and two noses.

Several years ago, Dr. John Gottman proved unequivocally that one behavior had an astoundingly predictive effect on whether or not a marriage would last. That behavior is “contempt.”

“Contempt is fueled by long-simmering negative thoughts about one’s partner, and it arises in the form of an attack on someone’s sense of self,” Gottman writes. “Inevitably, contempt leads to more conflict—particularly dangerous and destructive forms of conflict—rather than to reconciliation. It’s virtually impossible to resolve a problem when your partner is getting the message that you’re disgusted with them and that you’re condescending and acting as their superior.”

Sound familiar? If "contempt" isn’t right smack dab in the middle of the ongoing political and cultural wars, I don’t know what is. All of which leaves two key questions: 1.) If America is already split apart ideologically, will geography eventually follow? And 2.) If a geographical split happens at some point, is it possible to do so peacefully?

In a section of his book titled, “American Secession: The Looming Threat of a National Breakup,” George Mason University School of Law professor F.H. Buckley argues that such a split could occur, constitutionally even, with no bloodshed at all.

“Instead of the Civil War, think of the ‘velvet divorce’ of the Czechs and Slovaks in 1993,” Buckley writes. “Distinct in religion, language and culture, they had been combined in a country created in 1918 after the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The Slovaks were conservative and agricultural while the Czechs liked avant-garde plays and rock music. Czechoslovakia suffered through Nazi and Soviet rule, and then split apart into Slovakia and the Czech Republic upon the fall of communism. The two new countries, both Western and liberal, solved questions about their border, the division of assets and assumption of public debt through negotiation, and they’ve since maintained the friendliest of relations.”

Buckley argues that since the stakes “have been lowered” significantly since the 1860s when secession meant the literal continued enslavement of millions, such a measure indeed could be a “reasonable way to resolve unbridgeable partisan differences.”

Expect more talk of secession coming from the right, especially if the radical socialists win those two Georgia Senate seats and go on to pack the courts, eliminate the filibuster, and jam through every leftist wet dream from defunding the police to the Green New Deal. Already, the chairman of the Texas Republican Party is on board, and a Twitter poll (real "science," I know) from conservative writer Matt Walsh with 52,000 respondents showed over 60 percent agreeing to “support a plan to break up the United States so that the Left and Right can live in separate countries.”

Now that they’ve won electorally, of course, the left stands firmly on the side of unity, at least for the time being. Such talk is “treason” now, don’t you know, not because they ever had any respect for America’s borders and the freedom residing therein, but because they need producers, taxpayers, serfs to work their newfound socialist utopia. You see, their vision of America is more Panem than City on a Hill, and it takes a whole lot of proletarians to keep the elites – of which they fully intend to be a part – fat, comfortable, and happy in their walled-off enclaves. No, it’s not like pre-1865 chattel slavery, but it’s servitude nonetheless, and it’s something the left is surely willing to go to war to keep. (And yes, I’m aware of all the levels of irony).

A national split in my lifetime would be an awful, painful thing to see, even if it happened without bloodshed. It would, however, be far preferable to living under a Democratic Socialist, one-party state. While most Americans right now truly aren’t wishing for any sort of hot OR cold civil war, national divorce, or even peaceful separation, it’s hard not to see something along those lines on the horizon if things keep going the way they’re going. Admitting this isn’t ‘treason,’ it’s reality.

The Divided States of an (Ever) Vulnerable America

I understand. I have a sweet tooth as well.

There can be an allure – heck, almost an outright craving – to continue down the path of slights and wrongs. In 2020, there are plenty of them. In the 21st Century, we have endured far too many – notably if you are Black, poor, disenfranchised, or impacted by the multiple recessions that we have gone through from 9/11 to the pandemic.

It feels good. There is a point to it. There is a moral high ground to enjoy within it. Heck – displaying that truth for all to see can even be downright delicious in the right moment. And yet, for all the snowflaking of modern-day America, the most nostalgic approach to addressing our woes is persistent woe within the system and with the challenges at hand to push America to evolve into its next iteration of greatness.

It worked for former slaves. It worked for oppressive women. It worked for “undesirable” European immigrants in the 20th century. It is working for modern-day immigrants and newly minted Americans. It must start working again now for all of us. After all, with all the division within the nation currently and the shifted focus to long-shot lawsuits and feel-good rallies, we have forgotten paramount purposes for our Union and mounting challenges for our fellow Americans.

If I were Iran, China, North Korea, and Russia – not to mention ISIS or al-Qaeda – I would be waiting another 15 minutes or so for the United States of America to continue destroying itself from within. Another round of “not my president” – after hearing that from 2008 to 2016 to now – would delight me. Emerging teases of secession from lawmakers and former members of Congress would put my troops on the ready. Ongoing work to depress the patriotism of Americans would prompt my propaganda machine into overdrive.

The disjointedness of election laws and the apparent acceptance of annual “irregularities” (e.g., precincts reporting over 100% turnout of voters) drives me nuts. So, too, does this ridiculous notion that the best way to save America is to divide it among the “law-abiding states” and those that are not “abiding by the laws”.

Quick: who gets the military?

In 3 seconds: who gets the international trade deals?

Another question: who inherits the national debt to others around the world?

The primary purpose of the United States of America is to secure the national sovereignty of our people. With this constant chatter of permanent philosophical division and flirting with secession, we jeopardize the very things we collectively claim to defend. Those that want to see the fall of America will not attack us with weapons of war such as bombs and missiles. They will (continue to) attack us with ideas of toppling the national identity through corrupting our education system and civic pride. They will (continue to) attack us with actions that erode faith in the Constitution and its tenets, with urban Americans not trusting that the Constitution will offer comforts of equality and rural Americans not trusting that the rule of law will provide stability and consistency for society.  They will (continue to) confuse us, distracting us with notions that the reality before us today is the permanent reality for all tomorrows in our nation.

Quick: how long did the president with likely the third-most political capital ever coming into office (i.e., with Washington first and FDR in 1932 a likely second) have a supermajority on Capitol Hill?

If the nation did not fall after the Rise of Obama (and his moment where “…the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on Earth…”) due to a Tea Party wave 24 months later, why will it because Republicans continue to control most states and a new presidential administration faces more potential gridlocks than mandates for radical change?

Lovers of liberty, our American backbone still requires a straightening-up. Our economy will limp through 2021 at this rate, with job creation slowing in November. Our confidence in government will continue to wane, as more leaders shut down states such as Pennsylvania while questions with the coronavirus – from potential false-positive tests to lack of compliance with their own mandates – remain. Our confidence in the ability to move forward together is rocked by external forces rooting for the worst and internal factions that have lost focus on the foundation of what this nation has become in the modern world – for ourselves and for world stability. It has been proven that, when given the mantle of leadership, it is up to constitutional conservatives to extend ourselves to heal this nation, love this nation (more than we currently even like each other), and elevate America to its next iteration of greatness.

As we round out 2020, our vulnerabilities right now must be more our focus than our causes or symptoms for divisiveness – even if our concerns are just and the moral high ground is ours to take. America is bigger than George Washington, Abe Lincoln, or any one woman or man. In fact, America is a notion, an idea, and a bond. Slavery, a civil war, world wars, lost wars, civil rights lynchings, and political assassinations have not permanently severed the lifeblood of liberty for all from the body politic that is nourished by our efforts. Perhaps we have not truly been the America we cherish for quite some time in the fullest of senses. Perhaps we never were for all citizens within our home. Yet now is the time to embrace the “United” of our state – through bitterness, violation, and pain – because our internal discussions and decisions that continue to divide us remain closely watched by our external foes.

The talk of it all remains sweet to the tongue, but its settling within the depths of our nation simply erodes who we are.

Could Secession Succeed?

Could Secession Succeed?

There’s an undeniable pleasure in imagining the blue states cut off from America and forced to fend for themselves without normal Americans to feed them, fuel them, and defend them from the kind of dirtbags they kiss up to in order to show us knuckle-dragging Jesus-folk what for. But secession is a terrible idea, for them, but more importantly, for us. And while I don’t think America will unravel anytime soon – though those of us who read real history instead of silly oppression studies dreck understand that all great civilizations do eventually collapse – it remains possible that our country could fall apart in the short-term. Heaven knows the idiots in our useless Establishment seem to be doing everything possible to make that happen. That thought itself should be enough to inspire you to get fighting for the Constitution, using its provisions twice as hard despite the election theft last month, while hedging your bets with a 5.56mm rainy day fund.

Yes, the irony is clear that a guy like me who drew the fussy, femmy ire of the cruise-shilling Fredocon hacks and their cheesy blogs over his best-selling books about America splitting into red and blue nations is saying "Secession no!" Yet I was never a supporter of a national divorce, as tempting as it is to walk out on the libs for a younger, hotter, and less annoying partner. My five conservative action novels are based in a world where the country is ripped in two by the Left, and the latest, "Crisis," takes place as this schism is happening. There’s action and humor, and Eric Swalwell shows up – no, not with some Chi-Com hooker, but definitely with the pungency for which he is renown – but it all looks far too much like real life to be comfortable. My books are a warning, not a how-to manual.

In my books, the Democrats destroy our national bonds through a combination of corruption, arrogance, incompetence, malice, and a transcendent lack of wisdom. Unfortunately, subject to some unlikely electoral deus ex krakena, it appears that we will be subjected to an asterisk-marked Democrat president and an accompanying administration that epitomizes corruption, arrogance, incompetence, malice, and a transcendent lack of wisdom. So, that’s scary.

These clowns absolutely could push us to the breaking point. A President Biden* would be bad, but on the upside, Grandpa Badfinger is a creaky zombie whose "Matlock" marathon-focused lifestyle is not conducive to big changes. Yet the activists brought inside the gates inside their Trojan donkey, including Kamala "Here, Have Some Cookies I Baked For You, And Why Yes, They Are Supposed To Taste Funny" Harris, do want to push the fascism envelope. They think they are just a few decrees away from subjugating all us Lord-loving, gun-having, gender-understanding Neanderthals forever.

What they don’t see, because they don’t know any normal people – and occasionally saying "Hola" to their gardener does not count as knowing normal people – is how furious we are. Elites don't feel our anger, mostly because elites are behind their walls guarded by normal people with guns who may soon have to decide where their loyalties lie, with their own people or with their masters.

Yes, there is the potential for serious violence and even secession. It still seems unlikely – using our Constitution and its provisions remain the best way to sweep away the petty tyranny and the electoral fraud – but it could happen. Normalizing the BLM/Antifa/Other scumbag violence last summer was pretty short-sighted by the people who don’t have most of the guns. But hey – we have what Glenn Instapundit Reynolds has accurately assessed as the worst ruling class ever, so poorly-thought out initiatives is par for the course.

Here’s a positive thing: Secession and massive violence are unlikely because the people pushing the SJW agenda just aren’t likely to put themselves in a place where they can die for their ridiculous beliefs. Yes, there are exceptions – mostly the criminal element that gloms onto the Left of the kind Kyle Rittenhouse expunged – but a lot of these young leftists who would presumably be the vanguard of the revolution feel they have too much to live for to get hurt. Putting yourself in real danger – not performative risk at some mini-riot where you know the cops will sit back and, worse case, you end up arrested and released with a warning – over…pronouns?

I don’t see it.

On the other hand, I do see a lot of people on the Right motivated not by some ridiculous cant about systemic racism from their man-bunned TA but by the defense of their religion. And a lot of them are older and figure, "Hey, I had a good run, and my knees are too sore to start living on them." Oh, and lots of them are vets, and they all have guns.

Yes, the potential is there for conflict. If the malignant Left pushes the already volcanically angry normals too far, stuff could go south. The liberal campaign to strip normals of their rights, property, and dignity is poorly thought-through. Sure, it’s fun for the elite to get their jollies messing with us, but the thing that keeps the lid on this boiling pot is that right now, most people have something to lose. But if you take everything away from someone, he becomes extremely dangerous – something the epically unwise ruling caste, most of whom have never been in a fistfight, don’t get.

But what if we split in two voluntarily? Wouldn’t that solve things? We in red America can keep living in America, and the blues can have their Venezuela del Norte. My books take place in that scenario. It’s a bad scenario.

There’s a reason divorced people don’t buy houses next door to each other, but that’s what a national divorce would mean. Do you think for even a second that we might get along? As the natural consequences of liberal policies, unmoored and unrestrained by patriots, create crime, poverty, and general misery, in a real-life "People's Republic," could you imagine the ruling class of the blue states looking at the wreckage they created and saying anything other than, "Well, obviously all our problems are the result of red state racism!"

It's not like they would invade us. My books look at the ridiculous PC world of a blue military – but who is to say they wouldn’t invite in their pals, partners, and procurers, the Chi-Coms, to help out?

Remember how you keep your friends close and your enemies closer? We want the tech companies, the corporations, the media, and the rest of the institutions within our country where we can begin the process of crushing and taming them, not off in some other nation where they are untouchable. Our wokeness in light of the last few years of establishment misbehavior has created a ruthless resolve to break these garbage institutions to our will. We can’t do that if they can hide across the border in Neo-California.

Still, the blue checks talk a big game about the blue states living without us, but you can’t grow enough kale in the garden box outside your NYC apartment’s window to survive no matter how skinny your jeans are. And when the rulers of the blue states realize that they sacrificed their ability to generate energy, and thus run their Teslas and fuel their pedo express jets, on the altar of the climate hoax, they’ll be sad. If you could eat and power stuff with undeserved smugness, they’d be all set. But they can’t.

They need us, and we are better off with them, though the blue elite must be defeated. That’s the fight; to win back what is ours. No retreat. No surrender. No compromise with these feckless geebos. This is our country, and it’s going to stay one country, and it’s going to run pursuant to the terms of the Constitution, and that’s that.

But hey, lib secession jerks, you can always move your sorry butts to Canada.
