Ocasio-Cortez Calls Catholic Saint Who Administered to Lepers a 'Colonizer'

Article by Rick Moran in "PJMedia"

Father Damien (born Jozef De Veuster) was a Belgian Catholic priest who administered to lepers on the island of Molokai, Hawaii. He arrived late in the 19th century when leprosy was still unchecked in many third world countries.

Most missionaries avoided administering to lepers for fear of contracting the disease themselves. But Father Damien didn’t listen. Eventually, he also became a leper and died at age 49 of the disease.

Damien did more than pray for the lepers. He helped initiate reforms of how native people were treated. He also “aided the colony by teaching, painting houses, organizing farms, organizing the construction of chapels, roads, hospitals, and churches. He also personally dressed residents, dug graves, built coffins, ate food by hand with lepers, shared pipes with them, and lived with the lepers as equals.

But Damien made enemies too. He was apparently not a very nice man and even for the 19th century, uneducated and coarse. And he sometimes took credit for work done by Native Hawaiians. He also worked with the Americans who were governing the island — as one might expect given the tremendous needs of the people he ministered to.

He was a man of great energy and drive with a singular purpose — bring Christian love to people who were starving for it. But it’s his sins that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez wants him to be remembered for. She obliquely referred to him as a “white supremacist” and called him a “colonizer” — apparently because he came to Hawaii from Belgium.

It’s enough that AOC is demanding the statue of Damien displayed in the Capitol building be taken down.

Washington Examiner:

As far as St. Damien being a “colonizer” — well, Hawaii was never a Belgian colony. He wasn’t there representing Belgium, either. He was there representing the Congregation of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. And when the question arose in 1967 that St. Damien was an immigrant and not a Hawaiian citizen, Sen. Daniel Inouye rejected such nativism, pointing out how other states honored non-citizens with their statues, the Honolulu Star-Bulletin reported.

The statue of St. Damien chosen for the Capitol was sculpted by a woman of color, Marisol Escobar, an immigrant who lived in New York and was renowned as a cutting-edge pioneer feminist sculptor. The blockish style of the sculpture partly emulated native totem poles.

Is it sexist and misogynistic to point out that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a big mouth? Sure hope so.

So, the statue Ocasio-Cortez objects to as a totem of white supremacy is a statue of a poor, sick immigrant social worker to the poor, whose work was honored by Hawaii’s native queen. The statue was created by an immigrant woman who was a feminist artist of color and chosen by the people of the least white state of the union.

To be fair, one columnist at Star-Bulletin, Sammy Amalu, had a decent critique of the decision to put St. Damien in the U.S. Capitol. (Keep in mind, Sammy wrote his columns from prison.) “Poor old chap,” Amalu wrote. “He had a hard enough life at Kalaupapa without adding to his agony by leaving him within earshot of the diatribes and harangues that punctuate each day’s passing at Capitol Hill.”

“What a fate to design for any statue. But to do it for a man who has already suffered so much for humanity’s sake is certainly stark brutality beyond compare.”

It should be obvious by now to even the dumbest lefty dullard that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez too often speaks about subjects she knows next to nothing about — and ends up making herself look stupid in the process.

But beyond that, it should be noted that Father Damien was not a perfect human being. No one is. Are we to judge men and women solely on the basis of their faults and sins? Whatever happened to balanced judgment and analysis? Shouldn’t that be the least we demand of our representatives in Congress?

AOC is trolling us. She is looking for attention by attacking supposed sacred cows. Doing it intelligently might actually help. A society that honestly critiques its heroes is a healthy society.

But this brainless twit of a woman offering mindless radical left talking points and code words to excite her millions of Twitter fans across the country does more damage to her cause than she could possibly know.

Why are the Nordic countries still not recommending face masks?

As most of the world either orders or recommends the use of face masks, Nordic nations are the remaining holdouts.

In supermarkets, on buses, and along the streets of capitals -- such as Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki and Reykjavik -- face masks are a rare sight, worn only by a small minority, many of who are tourists.
According to a recent survey by YouGov, only five to 10 percent of respondents in the Nordic countries said they used a mask in public settings, a figure that has remained stable since the start of the crisis in March.
At the same time, the corresponding figures have risen to between 70 and 80 percent for most of the other 20 countries polled, including India and the United States.
"I have the impression that if the government doesn't say clearly 'we advise you to wear a mask', nobody will," 21-year-old French student Camille Fornaroli told AFP, adding she was shocked to see how rare masks were in Stockholm.
Birgitta Wedel, a 63-year-old pensioner, told AFP she would have preferred if Sweden's authorities recommended masks, at least on public transport.
But she added that she would keep going without one unless there was a shift in official policy.

"If they don't... I will not wear it because nobody else does," Wedel said.
Mårten Sporrong, a 50-year-old businessman, also said he would follow government recommendations: "If they tell us we don't need masks, we won't wear them".
Sweden has received global attention for its softer approach to curbing the spread of the virus which, coupled with a relatively higher death toll, has led to the region's largest country being shunned by its neighbours.
But when it comes to masks, the Nordic nations look staunchly united.

"Except for Sweden, there are very few cases in those countries," KK Cheng, an epidemiologist at the University of Birmingham's Institute of Applied Health Research told AFP.
"So I don't blame them for not doing it, as long as they have reasonable social distancing and contact tracing is done properly," Cheng added.
Asked Tuesday what might change his mind on recommending the use of face masks, Sweden's chief epidemiologist Anders Tegnell said he was still waiting for "some form of proof that they are effective".
For Cheng, such logic is questionable.

"I think it's wrong, it's irresponsible and it's stubborn," the epidemiologist said.
"If he's wrong, it costs life. If I'm wrong, what harm does it do?"
After the World Health Organization (WHO) changed its guidance, Danish health officials began cautiously recommending using masks in early July -- such as when going to the hospital for a test or when you are coming back from a risk area.
"Face covers don't make sense in the current situation, where we have a consistently very low level of infection," Søren Brostrøm, director of the Danish Health Authority, told broadcaster DR on Tuesday.
"But could it make sense in the long-term, when we bump into each other on public transport and other situations? That is of course something that we will evaluate," Brostrøm added.
Similarly, in Norway and Finland, although there is "no opposition in principle," masks are deemed an unnecessary precaution while the spread is low.
"It may be something that will have to be considered in the near future if the contamination increases," Are Stuwitz Berg, a doctor with the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, told AFP.
Mika Salminen, director of Health Security at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, told broadcaster YLE the issue would likely resurface "when people begin to return from holidays to a greater extent, and of course if the epidemic situation changes radically."

The New Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments - Catholic Print Wall Art - Walmart.com ...

Article by Deana Chadwell in "The American Thinker"

The original Ten Commandments were pretty basic:

  •             Believe in God.
  •             Worship no one else.
  •             Don’t swear by His name because you never mean it.
  •             Worship and rest one day a week.
  •             Respect your parents.
  •             Don’t murder anyone.
  •             Don’t steal anything.
  •             Don’t commit adultery.
  •             Don’t lie.
  •             Don’t envy.

Any society where a substantial percentage of the citizens obeyed these rules was a stable and prosperous society. No one will ace all of the commandments all of the time, but for the sake of the health of the community, an honest effort by a lot of people made things better for everyone –- inconvenient from time to time, restrictive if one gets really angry, but not at all unreasonable. If few people steal, you’re more likely to get to keep your stuff. If people don’t cheat on their spouses and if kids respect their parents, you build stable families, which makes the whole community a success. If lying is verboten, then you can trust most people most of the time, which makes everyone prosperous. Theology aside, it’s an efficient, and time-honored way to live.

A society, however, that rejects God and prefers making up its own rules often finds itself in a state of confusing flux. For instance, last winter it was a virtuous thing to say, “All lives matter.” It showed a respect for all races. Now those are fighting words. Who knew? The whole racial fuss is confusing –- if I ignore a person’s race, I’m a racist. If I copy an ethnic behavior, I’m appropriating a culture and therefore a racist. If I note the differences or say something factually true -- like 80% of male prisoners are black, I’m a racist. Our society’s mores are turning inside out, in fact, it’s just gotten so confusing that I thought it might be useful to make a list of the Commandments du Jour:

The Real Looters are the Politicians – AIER

1. Thou shalt wear a mask. Wearing a mask is now the epitome of social awareness and virtue. “There is no greater love than this, that thou apply one’s mask before going out.” There seems to be no concern about what kind of mask or how we wear it, or dispose of it, but wear one, we must. It shows concern for one’s fellow man, whether one has that concern or not – it’s handy that way. It is also handy as riot-wear so no one can identify you breaking into a jewelry store or kicking in a cop car.

2. Thou shalt stay home. unless there’s a riot going on nearby. Attendance at those events is mandatory for guilt-ridden millennials, and will earn an earnest rioter merit badge to wear on his/her Che Guevara T-shirt.  Bricks will be provided, but bring a personal shopping bag. Babies and young children are welcome. White people are welcome as well as long as they really hate being white and still live with their parents.

3. Thou shalt hate President Trump. Thou shalt hate all those who support him. Thou shalt hate any action he takes and shall claim that he lies and is a racist. Thou shalt also hate: men, police, capitalism, guns, the Constitution, freedom, in short -- America.

4. Thou shalt kill (or at least advocate for such killing) all unborn (or newly born) unwanted babies. Especially black babies. Black lives matter that much.

5. Thou shalt have any kind of sex one desires, when and where one desires it, with whom or with what one desires. Grooming of potential partners will be done by the local school, with help from the Boy Scouts and the public libraries.

6. Thou shalt not think logically, make an effort to become informed or knowledgeable, or develop a vocabulary beyond words like “oppressed” or “racist” or “f—k.”

7. Thou shalt destroy. Anything will do, but the more valuable the better. Statues and monuments are prime targets, private or public property works as well, especially if there’s lots of glass to break; police stations and federal courthouses are real prizes.  Thou shalt spray enough graffiti to poison the atmosphere for months and leave behind piles of plastic refuse.

8. Thou shalt steal in bulk -- on a wholesale basis –- Nikes, smart TVs, Rolexes, $5,000 handbags, exotic cars, whatever is expensive and can be fenced easily.  This will have the effect of righting all the wrongs in the universe.

9. Thou shalt strip the rich of whatever they have because if they have it, you don’t. When you see the world without God, the good stuff is hard to come by and the rich can’t possibly deserve it.

10. Thou shalt speak ill of –- or physically attack -- anyone who gets in the way, be they police, the elderly, mothers and children, clergy, one’s parents, or grandparents. Don’t let them get away with being normal and kind and happy. That’s some kind of privilege, but no one has identified exactly what kind.

If we scrupulously follow those rules, we can be in with the in-crowd. As a whole, the in-crowd seems pretty nasty, but if murder and mayhem appeals to a person then this is the way to go. Note that there are no rules against judging one’s neighbor, because we are encouraged to do so -- anyone not participating in demonstrations, not following the social distancing rules, deserves to be outed. We are also allowed to go naked, to shoot lasers, guns, mortar rounds, and throw Molotov cocktails, There are no rules against being rude because rudeness is one of the talents we’ll need in this Brave New World.

In this new world love and justice have no place. George Floyd wasn’t murdered -- we know this from the autopsy report, but the cops involved will still face trial and where will they find 12 objective jurors and judge with enough courage to play it straight? “Social justice” is an interesting term because the word “social” cancels the meaning of “justice.”

This new society sees no point in truth, in duty, in individual rights and responsibilities. It places no value on self-control, on objectivity, on gentleness, on righteousness. We’ve been educated to think that the world offers us an unlimited selection of belief systems, but that’s not true. There are only two options –- the one that works or the one that doesn’t. We can go with the divinely provided way to live our lives, or we can jumble together some cheap substitute -- but history has shown us over and over and over again that produces nothing but death and destruction.

We get to choose which concept we want to encourage. Shall we shut down churches or shut down riots? Here we are at the crossroads. “Two roads diverged in a yellow wood…”

Democrats’ Policies Are Unfit For The Presidency

For four years, Democrats have been trying to cement in voters' foreheads the idea that Trump is unfit for office. Perhaps that's because Democrats' policies never have been as unfit for the office as they are now.

In 2016, the news-minding public endured an endless chant branding Donald Trump’s character and personality as “unfit” for office.

It was a slogan deployed against him by no less than President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Clinton debuted it in a major campaign speech echoed in a campaign ad featuring conservative writer Charles Krauthammer. In her speech, Clinton called Trump “tempermentally unfit to hold an office that requires knowledge, stability, and immense responsibility. This is not someone who should ever have the nuclear codes.” Obama said, “the Republican nominee is unfit to serve as president.”

People who called Trump “unfit” for office in 2016 include Joe Biden; 2008 and 2012 Republican presidential nominees John McCain and Mitt RomneyRepublican Sen. Lindsey Graham, USA Today’s editorial board in its first presidential endorsement ever, later presidential candidate Michael BloombergSen. Rand Paul; RedState editor and “lifelong Republican” Leon Wolf, author of the debunked “Fire and Fury” novel Michael Wolff, TV personality Omarosa, 2020 presidential candidate Rep. John Delaney, Republican former Sen. Gordon Humphrey, and the United Kingdom’s now-Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

It didn’t end when Trump took office, of course. This week, Trump’s niece Mary Trump has a new tell-all book just like all the others, also insisting he’s “unfit.” In the intervening time, we’ve heard the same buzzword from the FBI director Trump fired, Jim Comey; the national security advisor Trump fired, John Bolton; writer Andrew Sullivan; New Hampshire Sen. Maggie Hassan; and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Clearly, Democrats have been trying to cement in voters’ foreheads the idea that Trump’s personality is unfit for office. Perhaps that’s because Democrats’ policies never have been as unfit for the office as they are now.

Just this week, in his first semi-public appearance in months, presidential Potemkin village candidate Joe Biden promised to be the farthest-left president in American history.
That’s quite a claim, if you know any history. Together, Franklin Delano Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson slow-motion wrecked the United States’ institutions, replacing a society of individual accountability and responsibility with a society of buck-passing generational theft and an anti-American shadow Constitution. Even if your history knowledge only goes back four years, Obama’s presidency:
  • saw the feds take over of a third of the economy through Obamacare and corporate bailouts;
  • accelerated national financial collapse through unprecedented increases in taxpayer debts;
  • further nationalized public education through an illegally imposed Common Core;
  • misused federal power to surveil, harass, and subvert the opposing political party;
  • appointed two far-left wack jobs of Supreme Court justices;
  • sent guns to violent Mexican cartels that were used to murder Americans, then lied about it;
  • effectively amnestyed 660,000 illegally present foreign citizens, forcing U.S. citizens to pay for benefits to them such as public education and health care;
  • cut off perfectly legal companies from access to banking because of their politics;
  • weaponized the Internal Revenue Service to harass grassroots political opponents and silence their speech;
  • tried to force nuns to pay for abortifacients;
  • forced public schools to put boys in little girls’ locker rooms and bathrooms;
  • fomented campus kangaroo courts that punished anyone accused of sexual assault without a remotely fair trial;
  • attempted to force medical providers to treat men as women and vice versa;
  • nationalized the student loan industry and inflated the student debt bubble;
  • used the National Security Agency to mass surveil innocent Americans and collect private email, phone, and other records;
  • bailed out with taxpayer cash a terrorist regime that brutalizes its people (Iran);
  • endorsed race riots in Ferguson, Missouri; and
  • executed 783 scandals. Plus:
What could possibly be more extreme, especially since Biden was supposed to be running on “a return to normalcy” instead of extremism?

Well, to get a taste, let’s sample a bit of the recently released Biden-Bernie Sanders (socialist-Vt.) “unity task force recommendations” for Biden’s potential presidency. Now, let’s be clear: Biden’s campaign has explicitly signed on to this document. These are policies he has — or his minders have — put his name on.

Cutting Americans Off from Energy: The 110-page document opens claiming that “climate change is a global emergency.” Right now we are enduring what is claimed to be another global emergency, also claimed to have justified forcibly shutting down social activity, destroying the life’s work of millions of Americans who have built careers, businesses, and nonprofits, putting nearly a fifth of employed Americans out of work, and destabilizing the next generation’s future with anti-science school lockdowns.

Democrats repeatedly say, including in this document, that climate change is a global emergency. It is not at all far-fetched to think they would be willing to repeat coronavirus ruination, on even worse terms. “We agree with scientists and public health experts that the United States — and the world — must achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions as soon as possible, and no later than 2050,” the document says.

The only way to do this using solar and wind power, as Democrats demand in the document, is to make the United States a low-energy economy. That’s an impoverished economy, a Third World economy. Ventilators cannot run on wind power, to say nothing of grocery stores, hospitals, and homes. Turning the United States into a Third World country is not a policy worthy of the United States presidency. It is unfit for office.

That’s just sample item one.

Institutional Racism: “We support re-issuing federal guidance from the Department of Education and Department of Justice to prevent the disparate disciplinary treatment of chilren of color in school and educational settings,” the unity document says.
This is referring to Obama administration rules that required public schools to discipline children according not to their actions but their skin color. This policy also made schools much more violentimpeding the learning of predominantly nonwhite children. This is a racist policy, and racism is unfit for the presidency.

In the document, Democrats pledge to also apply racial tests to judges, economic policies, criminal law and policing, and recipients of federal grants, among others. “Our courts should reflect our country,” it says, using the well-known slogans of today’s advocates for race quotas “…We will nominate and confirm federal judges who have diverse backgrounds and experiences.”

Democrats threaten: “Federal contractors should be required to deveop and disclose plans to recruit and promote people of color, women, people with disabilities, and veterans — and be held accounable for delivering.” They also pledge to increase taxpayer support for grants that are exclusively available to Americans based on their skin color. Again, racism, as we have heard from Democrats time and time again, disqualifies its practitioners from governance.

Treason Against the Constitution: The race prism is later mixed with promises of socialized medicine and housing as part of a “new social and economic contract with the American people.”

This is a direct violation of the president’s Oath of Office, which requires him (or her) to swear fidelity to the Constitution: “I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.” This is the charge of the presidency, its raison d’etre.

The Constitution a president pledges to serve prescribes a government of strict limits, not the unlimited power to take what a person has earned and give it to other people for any desire under the sun. One of the natural rights the Constitution is supposed to secure is to one’s own property.

That’s because what a person owns represents his life — his time and labor. It can never be truly paid back after it is taken, because to take a person’s property is to steal hours, days, weeks, years of his life that he will never get back. It is to enslave him.

Democrats’ entire plan for governance is a plan to abuse American citizens’ natural rights to life, liberty, and property. For health care or education or housing or any other material good to be a “right” requires that other people be forced into labor to supply such goods. It is to proclaim a right to other people’s work, which is to say their lives.

A right to control other people’s lives is no right at all. It is an abuse of power. It is tyranny. Pledges to accelerate tyranny, which equal treason against the Constitution, utterly disqualify a person and party from United States government.

CNN Piece on What Critical Swing Voters Are Thinking Now and It’s Dynamite

It’s not likely to find anything on CNN that’s favorable or even even-handed when it comes to President Donald Trump.

That’s one reason when it happens, it’s noteworthy.

But also, it’s incredibly significant information that gives us a great window into what a very important group of Americans thinks about the election and Trump.

If you just listened to the liberal media, pretty much all you would hear is polls show that Joe Biden is ahead. We saw how well that worked for them when they predicted Hillary Clinton would win in 2016.

That’s why it’s incredibly important to hear what real people are thinking.

So listen to what Rich Thau, a focus group moderator, the moderator of the Swing Voter Project, has to say.

He says he’s hearing strong support for President Trump from critical swing voters that could turn the election.

From CNN:

And, each month for the past 17 months, I’ve had a unique window into the Americans largely responsible for giving the president his slim Electoral College victory: so-called “Obama-Trump” swing voters across the upper Midwest.
Our Swing Voter Project has uncovered that many of these people, who live in places such as Canton, Ohio; Davenport, Iowa; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Macomb County, Michigan, prefer Trump over Biden. In fact, 22 of 33 respondents in these four most recent locations feel this way.

Not only are they overwhelmingly with Trump at this point, upon reflection, these voters who voted Obama and Trump would now vote for Trump over Obama in a hypothetical match-up, according to Thau.

While he notes it’s possible they still change as we move ahead, he explains why most are still supporting Trump.
Beyond the numbers, though, it’s critical to understand why so many of them continue to support Trump.
They think a businessman is best suited to turn the country around economically. They feel Covid-19 was not Trump’s fault, and he’s doing the best he can to contain it. They conflate the Black Lives Matter protesters with the rioters attacking federal buildings and retail shops. They don’t want historic monuments torn down. And they dismiss defunding the police as ridiculous.

In other words, as I previously wrote, Americans are seeing the violence and putting the blame squarely on the left. That’s not helpful to Biden and these voters are feeling it too.

These voters tell me they want America finally to be put first; they oppose immigration and trade policies they say give benefits to foreigners at their expense. And they want a non-politician who relentlessly fights back, after witnessing too many office holders fold in the face of special interests.
These voters may sound like typical Fox News watchers, but, significantly, the overwhelming majority are not. Many are, instead, people who get their news disproportionately from local television, regional websites and Facebook. Compared to the kinds of people who seek out news from national cable channels, many swing voters reside in a national politics desert.

According to Thau, most of them can’t name anything that Biden has achieved in almost 50 years in politics. That’s accurate and it’s a killer when they’re looking for an actor, not another passive politician looking to ensure his party’s power.

Worse for the former vice president, several told me Biden would be a “puppet” of others if he were elected. That’s because many are convinced he has “dementia,” and they mocked him after seeing videos of his misstatements online.
That said, these voters are under no illusions about Trump’s shortcomings. They hate the tweeting, but some tolerate it as the price for hiring the relentless fighter they want.

This is going to cause a Democratic meltdown.

Dianne Feinstein: China Is 'Growing Into a Respectable Nation'

 Article by Tyler O'Neil in "PJMedia"

On Thursday, Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) argued against a law allowing Americans to sue China for its malfeasance in the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. While she made an important point — allowing Americans to sue China might lead other countries to let their citizens sue the U.S. — she also praised China as “growing into a respectable nation.”

Yes, she said this about the country that lied about the coronavirus pandemic, enabling it to spread across the world. She said this about the country that persecutes religious minorities, forcing Christian churches to sing praises to the Communist Party if they wanted to reopen from a coronavirus lockdown. She said this about the country that set up islands to assert dominance over the South China Sea, engaged in skirmishes at the border with India, and seized Hong Kong in violation of the treaty with Britain. She said this about the country that puts Uyghur Muslims in re-education camps.

“Where I live, we don’t hold China… we hold China as a potential trading partner, as a country that has pulled tens of millions of people out of poverty in a short period of time, and as a country growing into a respectable nation among other nations. And I deeply believe that,” Feinstein said.

This Democrat senator apparently overlooked Chinese President Xi Jinping’s doubling down on communism, his oppression of religious minorities, his territorial ambitions, and abuses that justify comparisons to Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.

While China has aimed at modernization and a more capitalistic economy in recent decades, Xi Jinping has brought communism back with a flourish. In October 2017, Xi gave a terrifying speech calling for “national rejuvenation.” He pushed for a more explicitly communist constitution and advocated a more aggressive socialism. Xi also announced he would rebuild the military, aiming for “combat capability” and declaring, “A military is built to fight.”

Thanks in large part to the heinous one-child policy, China has a surplus of young men and a deficit of young women. This adds to a desire for foreign aggression.

Beijing has indeed been flexing its muscles. China built floating islands in the South China Sea in order to claim naval territory. In May, Xi sent soldiers into disputed lands between China and India, sparking more than a month of skirmishes in a border war. Late last month, Beijing imposed “direct authoritarian rule” over Hong Kong, arguably violating the treaty by which China gained limited control over Hong Kong from Britain. Worse, China has also set its sights on Taiwan, the last vestige of pre-Communist Party rule in China.

Xi’s propaganda suggests he identifies with Mao Zedong, the brutal communist dictator who unleashed the Cultural Revolution. As the coronavirus pandemic has ravaged China’s economy, the Communist Party has forced Christians who receive government benefits to choose between their faith or their government aid. Local officials have even barged into Christians’ houses, taking down crosses and posters of Jesus and replacing them with portraits of Xi and Mao.

As for the coronavirus, the Chinese Communist Party lied to cover it up early on, and waited until five million people had already left Wuhan before locking down the city at the center of the outbreak. The party also reportedly destroyed early samples of the virus and silenced doctors who tried to warn the world about it. A University of Southampton study found that if the Communist Party had enacted quarantine measures three weeks earlier, the coronavirus spread would have been reduced by 95 percent.

When the World Health Organization (WHO) tweeted that the coronavirus might transmit from person to person, the Chinese government told the WHO to remove that statement, and the WHO complied. China requested personal protective equipment (PPE) from across the world and received 2.4 billion pieces. Later, when other countries asked China for PPE, China extorted them — only sending valuable medical aid if political leaders agreed to publicly praise Beijing. Chinese companies also sent faulty medical gear to European countries and to the U.S. Meanwhile, the Communist Party also prevented U.S. companies from shipping their own medical gear back home, where it is sorely needed.

The State of Missouri has already filed a lawsuit to hold China accountable, and there is a growing chorus of voices demanding the U.S. sue the Chinese Communist Party in an international court. China has even threatened U.S. senators by name who dared to call Beijing to account for its malfeasance. Americans want to see China held accountable.

Yet arguably the worst aspect of China’s oppression — and the one that most resembles Hitler — involves its treatment of the Uyghur Muslim minority in Xinjiang. Beijing has allegedly imprisoned one million members of Muslim minority groups in what China defends as de-radicalization and retraining centers.

Human rights activists have compared the camps to prisons and worse, claiming that inmates are sentenced there with little due process. The Uyghurs (the largest Muslim minority targeted) and others are compelled to denounce their religion, language, and culture and to pledge allegiance to the Chinese Communist Party and President Xi Jinping. According to an Associated Press investigation, Uyghur women are forced to use birth control or undergo involuntary sterilizations.

It does not appear that these Uyghur camps are death camps exactly like the Holocaust, but they are the closest modern analog to that 20th-century horror.

This is the country that Dianne Feinstein thinks is “growing into a respectable nation”? What, exactly, does she consider “respectable”?

Feinstein may be right to warn about retribution if the federal government allows Americans to sue China, but her declaration that China is “growing into a respectable nation” amid the abuse of the Uyghurs, coronavirus malfeasance, Christian persecution, the Hong Kong takeover, and other efforts at foreign aggression, is absurd and dangerous. It smacks of Neville Chamberlain-style appeasement.

Briefings Continue….

Never attribute malice to that which can be explained by the bureaucracy of the system; perhaps that is the biggest lesson learned from my recent travels and briefings.
As incredible as it might sound, those who run government investigations do not necessarily have their arms around the specifics, or the bigger picture.   It is quite amazing to talk to people who have been in the proverbial weeds for years only to realize the rag-tag-misfits have more comprehensive information system than multi-million government enterprises.

So too should this message serve as a warning. Again, as incredulous as it sounds, do not ever believe those who control the levers of power have more information than you.  This is a jaw-dropping experience on the level of disconnect.

Perhaps it would be apropos to think of information as a kiosk map in a large mall.  Lots of data, but if the “you are here” dot is missing; it is not much benefit.  The briefing material starts from the ‘you are here‘ and explains the events.  Everything reconciles.  Everything is documented, attested and sworn.  Unfortunately, I have yet to encounter anyone who put it all together….. until now.

Perhaps when/if a book is ever written about this time, the most compelling story-line will come from how a dedicated small team with a few thousand dollars were able to go up against tens of millions of corrupt interests.  Oh, and we have TRUTH, so we are indeed winning despite the scale.

On some details, thank you to those who have supported this effort.  When it is all over you will likely be surprised just how far and comprehensively we have traveled to ensure failure did not become an option.

There is still a possibility, albeit much smaller than a few weeks ago, that Durham/Barr may not generate the outcome desired.  Therefore the Phase-1 (briefing) effort will continue and the preparation for engaging in Phase-2 (large scale) will continue.

Indications from recent DOJ comments certainly imply a shift in the narrative.  There is a lot more confidence and you are likely seeing the downstream effect in various appearances and broadcasts.   The shift is very real.  The activity in the background is very real; and while the details are very sensitive – we are directly in line-of-sight to the activity.

Many people are now referencing the possibilities of ongoing ‘grand juries’, I would say nothing to diminish that outlook.  The signs are all in the exactly correct place; and the most important name remains invisible.  That’s a good indicator because it shows how tight the process is; and how no leaks have surfaced.  We continue to monitor that aspect.

REMINDER – […] We are a nation of liberty loving independent and free-thinking people; born under a compact to allow each to live their lives according to their own purpose.  Do not abdicate the duty to protect individual liberty to anyone except yourself.

Your dreams are unique to you.

In the coming weeks you will see more about what CTH can do to support you.  There is a network of allied interests working diligently; and we will succeed.  I can feel it.

The challenge with the briefing material, developed over several years, is that it cannot be absorbed by reading it.  There has to be a guide to walk through it as the person is absorbing the content.  That originating guide has been me.

Once briefed, and with the documents in hand, each person then has the skills to see the story; and the next step in completely understanding any story is to teach it.  That’s going to eventually be your task.  You only need to reach 10 people.  One becomes 10, becomes 100, becomes 1,000, becomes 10,000 etc…

Having completed a series of murder-board sessions, test sessions on the briefing material itself, b Having completed a series of murder-board sessions, test sessions on the briefing material itself, by putting it up against all comers including critics and naysayers; the next phase of sharing the information with those in a position to take action is well underway.  The secondary goal of this phase-1 was to ensure that powerful interests, including John Durham, are aware that we know what this story is about and that we will not allow this evidence to be hidden.  This tripwire has been crossed.

I am confident because the content of the brief is demonstrably true.  However, the most important part to remember is that the truth is not dependent on any person; it just exists.
Once through this phase; and if everything goes according to a plan; you will have an opportunity to have someone, perhaps me, visit YOU and brief you and your friends.  Then, you and your friends receive copies of the brief and go forward.

[more details will be coming; it is dynamic, cost effective and no-one makes a dime]

However, it is now possible that aspect will not be needed as forcefully.  Again, it depends on what those who are in power do with the information.  If they respond weakly, or if they do not respond at all (very unlikely) then we activate.  I am increasingly optimistic this material is being directly addressed.

However, the stakes are too high to leave anything to chance.   Wherever they are, I go…. on any moments notice I drop everything to conduct briefings requested by anyone who can influence action.  Information without action is antithetical to its purpose.

People have referenced Paul Revere in many posts recently; but that’s not really an appropriate view….. I consider myself the “friend” who hung the lantern in the loft of the North Church Tower; the lantern is the briefing material; you are Paul Revere.

Prepare to ride.
Every second that you live your life with thankfulness for the abundance within it; every moment that we CHOOSE to engage with fellowship; every day that we accept guidance from God – however you define him to be; and every moment we cherish this time to be a beacon of optimism; is a moment that we withstand that barrage and hold the flag in place.   It is a genuinely patriotic position not to succumb to the attack.

If you allow yourself to be drawn into crisis and despair, you allow them to win.  If your center of normal is based around this overwhelming onslaught, you will eventually concede liberty in favor of peace.  Once we stop living in liberty, we no longer have peace.

It took me a while to fully understand just how damaging empty streets, soulless eyes, the lack of smiles, shuttered businesses and the absence of joy would become.  But as I travel around trying to deliver a very specific message to a very specific audience, I now recognize just how much damage is being done; not just to our nation as a whole, but also to every individual within it – personally.

We must shake this mindset.  We must withstand this onslaught and rally to the origin of our true national spirit.  We must rally to a standard of Americanism and accept this is not that. In essence, we must individually take a stand.  Purposefully, deliberately and with forethought, we must engage those around us to get rid of this sense of foreboding.

This approach is how we win the larger battle.

Our nation needs more people like you, right now.  Don’t wait… engage life, get optimistic however you need to do it. Then let that part of you shine right now… This is how we fight.  Hold up that flag; give the starter smile… rally to the standard you create and spread fellowship again.

God knows we need it.

4 French Revolution Trends That Have Started In The United States

The bloody and terrible French Revolution featured attacks on religion, rewriting history, toppling statues, and abandoning tradition. Sound familiar?

Many recently celebrated Bastille Day, the day French radical revolutionaries stormed a prison, released its prisoners, and brutally murdered the warden. That fateful day, now more than 200 years ago, set in motion a revolution that led to bloodshed and a devastating loss of liberty in France. It also set the precedent for many future revolutions that took an unbelievable toll on human life.

Contemporary British politician Edmund Burke lamented that French Revolutionaries could have repaired the walls of their government and society instead of tearing them down. In an attempt to found an egalitarian utopia, the French Revolutionaries tore down almost everything that was traditionally French. An eerily similar purge is taking place in America.

To found their society anew, the French Revolutionaries created a new education system, a new calendar, a new system of measurement, and a series of new public symbols and festivals. Most forebodingly, they did their best to cleanse France of religion in all of its forms, opting instead to pay homage to the god of Reason.

1. Taking Control of the Calendar and Holidays

The new “French Calendar” the Revolutionaries used in place of old the Gregorian calendar deliberately left out the Sabbath as well as religious holidays. In a preview of the self-centered nature of modern radical leftists, the French Calendar reset French history to the start of the Revolution — essentially labeling it “Year One.” Today, The New York Times’s 1619 Project attempts to do the same historical trick in rebooting America’s “true founding” to the date the first black slaves arrived in Virginia.

Now, there are calls to cancel Independence Day, change the name of Thanksgiving to “Thanks-taking,” and eliminate Columbus Day. Presidents Day, which is George Washington’s birthday, may also be on life-support, considering the Berkeley Unified School District announced that it will rename schools named after George Washington and Thomas Jefferson because the two former presidents owned slaves. But don’t worry, new holidays such as “Non-Binary Day“ are being ginned up, and Google Calendar now warns us when Black History Month and Women’s History Month begin.

Leftist cancellations haven’t stopped at renaming institutions and holidays, but have also aimed at brand names, theme park rides, classic movies, television shows, and even innocuous titles like “master bedroom.” Recently there was a boycott against Goya foods because its CEO praised President Trump.

2. Tearing Down Statues

All across the country statues of American historical figures have lost their heads. In Boston, a statue of Christopher Columbus was beheaded, as were four Confederate statues in Portsmouth Virginia. A George Washington statue in Washington Park was vandalized and a white hood was placed on his head. Another George Washington statue in Portland, Oregon was toppled with a burning American flag draped over it.

Statue toppling is only the most visible sign of the cultural genocide that has been taking place for decades. Since the 1960s more Americans have rejected our founding principles and replaced them with radical utopian abstractions.

Instead of celebrating a nation built on equality, freedom, self-government, and a limited constitutional government, those on the left have taught an alternative history. In their telling, America has been racist from the start. The insinuation is that since racism is in America’s very DNA, there is no cure. Thus, the need for a new founding based on enigmatic utopian ideals.

3. Seizing Language and Education

It’s a dark omen when language itself starts to be canceled. Classic children’s books are being banned because some on the left don’t like their language. The North American Scrabble Players Association has recently announced it is canceling certain offensive words from the game.

People may not be burning books, but the National Public Radio station has exhorted Americans to “decolonize” their bookshelves. Truly, the current neo-Marxist movement enveloping the nation has done more to attack and stifle freedom of speech than Joseph McCarthy ever did in the height of the Red Scare of the 1950s.

More and more, our public schools are ceasing to be places of genuine learning but are quickly becoming boot camps in activism. Instead of being taught civics, children are learning about “antiracism,” “white privilege,” and political agitation. Likewise, French Revolutionaries took control of schooling and replaced it with their own.

Recently, New York City schools sent out a letter affirming the existence of systemic racism and assuring parents the school district will work to “dismantle institutional racism.” The email goes on to recommend resourcesthat teach children police are targeting nonwhite people and that there is systemic racial bias in education, media, employment government, and the criminal justice system.

A large school district in North Carolina created a website that provides “racial equity” resources for teachers and parents. The site instructs those wishing to be racially affirming allies to first do so by recognizing privilege and how to utilize social capital to promote equity and social justice.

Finally, and most disturbingly, material for the 1619 Project is being taught in at least 3,500 schools nationwide, teaching children America’s founding ideals were a lie when they were written and the United States has never recovered from slavery and racism.

4. Violent Hostility Towards Religion

To say the French Revolution was hostile towards religion is an understatement. Church property was nationalized, tithing was outlawed, church authorities were made employees of the state, and 30,000 priests were exiled. To confuse Christians so they wouldn’t be able to figure out which day was Sunday, a new ten-day week was implemented. In what became known as the September Massacres, three bishops and more than 200 priests were murdered by mobs.

Traditional religion in the United States has also come under attack by the modern radical left. And, while things haven’t yet got to the level of the French Revolution, the current anti-Christian climate does not bode well for the future. During the first weeks of the riots, for example, St. John’s Church, a historic house of worship near the White House, was set on fire. The media erupted in anger when police cleared the streets in front of the church so President Trump could pose in front of it holding a Bible.

In response, the D.C. mayor renamed the area “Black Lives Matter Plaza” and painted the slogan over the road. The area has become a hub for Black Lives Matter activists. There also have been repeated attempts to establish a “Black House Autonomous Zone” in the area. The area has developed its own religious feel, with multiple murals and tributes to George Floyd and others considered martyrs by the group.

Suffering the same fate as many of America’s founders and heroes, religious statues have been torn down as well. Black Lives Matter commentator Shaun King has stated depicting Jesus Christ as a white man is evidence of white supremacy. Churches have been vandalized, a Florida man drove his vehicle into a church, a statue of the Virgin Mary was torched in Boston, and at a Tennessee parish, a statue of Mary was beheaded. Because their pastor spoke out against the rioting in the streets, churchgoers in Troy, New York were verbally harassed by Black Lives Matter protestors as they entered Grace Baptist Church.

We’re Not Down the Drain Yet

In the meantime, despite facing the threat of physical violence, some brave Americans continue to stand up against this neo-Marxist cultural revolution. In Washington D.C., when protestors wanted to tear down the Emancipation Statue, elder black activists showed up to protect it. They stood against the screaming hordes, representing a former generation, one ruled by reason and wisdom instead of rage.

In Ventura, California, a small group of brave Catholics stood against a mob to protect a statue of Saint Junipero Serra. As the small band surrounded the statue, they were surrounded by more than 200 protestors intent on tearing the statue down. The protectors stood strong, prayed the rosary amid taunts, threats, and even acts of violence. When one protestor riled the crowd into a frenzy and led a rush on the statue, Serra’s defenders closed ranks around the pedestal and defended it.

In another instance of bravery, when every player from the Giants and Dodgers knelt before the National Anthem to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement before playing their first game of the season, one player decided to stand. San Francisco Giants pitcher Sam Coonrod refused to kneel because of his faith and because he knows what the Black Lives Matter movement truly represents.

This one player who decided to stand is the one we should focus on, and is the sort of citizen we should praise. His courage and strength show that remnants of an old American spirit still exist, and that hope remains for our great republic.

Americans recklessly wishing to continue following in the footsteps of France should remember Burke’s caution that the abolition of all history and tradition is a recipe for disaster. Future generations will understand what our nation eventually decides to honor by what statues replace the many that have been torn down.
